I'm convinced the 5 Star reviews here were not at all at the request of the shop's owner. Because they never asked me for a review yet they worked to uphold and fulfill my order with excellent service and attention. I ordered a funeral spray over the phone. After reviewing photos on their website, I purposely called them because I never like to order from stock photos shown online. All local florists nowadays use a service such as FTD or 800-Flowers to direct and funnel them customers online but it's always best to speak to your local florist directly instead. It also helps local businesses cut out the middle man fees, ensuring a better profit margin to support your local businesses. Maggie who I believe is the owner, was courteous and professional. I gave her an idea of what I wanted, along with budget. She texted me photos of real work she's done and then worked with me on the details. I paid over the phone with a CC and the process was timely and efficient. Day of funeral service, she had completed the arrangement and delivery several hours before the funeral. However when she sent me a photo of the arrangement, I requested a modification. She responded right away with her very first reply offering to adjust it and redeliver it. I mean, no pushback, no questioning back and forth - just pure effort, accommodation and service. (Attached copy of text showing her response!) Within the hour, they went back to the funeral home, brought it back to their shop, made the adjustments and redelivered it. I mean, how impressive is that?! I don't usually write reviews, but felt compelled to share how pleasant my experience was dealing with Harry and Maggie at Sunset Florist. I wasn't intending to buy anything, I just walked in to ask a question and fell in love with a beautiful large money tree near the front of the store. They were so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable that I ended up chatting with them for a while - Maggie offered me a nice discount that I just couldn't resist! The tree is absolutely stunning, and taller and more vigorous than any I've been able to find locally (they had one more in stock, in case anyone is interested). I cannot say enough how incredible Maggie and her team is at Sunset. She took a seed of a vision I had for my wedding and turned it into something beyond my wildest dreams. My centerpieces were SO unique and something I had never seen before. It was something we came up with together and it just blew me away. My bouquet was exactly what I was imagining and she was able to incorporate the flowers of my choosing. I can't stress how amazing, responsive, and reliable they are. I called today, Christmas Eve, with a last minute request for a sympathy bouquet since a friend's father had passed. I needed an all-white floral arrangement delivered to a local address in Ridgefield. I spoke with Maggie and told her I'd like an arrangement similar to the "Peaceful White Lilies" bouquet on the Sunset Florist website (see picture below), preferably with white peonies and chrysanthemums if possible. Maggie ran me through the different white flowers that were available on short notice and promised to put together something nice for my budget. I wasn't too prescriptive since I know zero about flower arrangements, so I put my trust in the professionals! Maggie made it very easy for me, we were done talking in 15 minutes, and we agreed on an arrangement of about the same price as Peaceful White Lilies ($100 before taxes/fees) to be delivered same-day by 5pm. I called at 2:10PM and the flowers were delivered by 3:15PM, which was beyond my wildest expectations. Placed a delivery order over the phone from Sunset for Valentine's Day. I didn't order a specific bouquet, but instead asked them to design one for about $60 requesting several colors and flower types that I know my wife likes. The guy on the phone was friendly and helpful. With tax and a delivery charge of $10 it came out to $75. The bouquet arrived sometime during the day and my wife really liked it. The colors were right and the flowers were nice. I felt it was an OK size for that price, but any smaller it would have been too small, so they certainly weren't adding any extras. Most importantly, however, is within 4 days the bouquet was already wilting despite keeping the vase's water full/fresh (they did not provide a plant food packet). Within 6 days the thing was nearly ready to be tossed in the trash. So, the quality of the flowers was not great and that was really disappointing. In the end, I probably won't use them again. Despite the good service, I wanted a great flower bouquet and the one they delivered just wasn't great. It was good, but not great. Was it worth $75? Eh, maybe. In terms of size and color, probably. After the sudden death of my brother-in-law, we called Sunset Florist for a funeral spray. We chose from the website and before we got off the phone the florist had already upgraded our selection at no additional cost. We thought, "How nice was that?" On our drive down to the wake Sunset Florist sent us a photograph of what they'd put together. It was absolutely beautiful! When we got to the funeral parlor and saw it in person we were really overwhelmed at the beauty of this piece. Even the funeral director told my husband it was one of the nicest sprays she had ever seen. I brought a handful of the roses home with us after the service and they beautifully adorn our dining room table still 10 days later. It's nice to have this reminder of my brother-in-law each of these days. So many thanks for the terrific job Sunset Florist did for us. DO NOT GO TO THIS FLORIST!!!! My husband went in on Mother's day and chose a bouquet already arranged (3 Roses, 3 Calla Lilies, and some fill). It was an ok bouquet. I found the receipt and realized that he paid $101.00!!!!!! I called to ask if there was a mistake. I was told "Oh well, if you husband signed his name then that is his fault." I needed a simple bouquet of fresh flowers on my way to my ten year old daughter's talent show. Pressed for time I stopped into Sunset. It was close to closing time and there was only one employee left in the shop. She was in the middle of taking what seemed to be a large order for a wedding or some formal event. I didn't get her name but she excused herself from the woman she was helping. She took the time to put together an incredibly beautiful arrangement. I was floored by the amount of flowers she used.
