This is my moms absolute favorite place. I'm not a fish fan but all of their food is Delicious.

Wowwwwza! The best fish and chips I've had since Arthur Treacher's rolled up their sidewalks in Cbus. Everything was fresh and hot and seasoned perfectly. The sides and tartar are all made from scratch. Deeelishhh! You will absolutely not regret checking this place out! read more

Every once in awhile we stop in Pataskala, Ohio for fish and chips. The fish is always excellent. The chips are very good. We like their slaw and enjoy the hush puppies. Most of all the service is excellent. The nautical decor is interesting. It is clean. Everyone is very friendly. read more

Amazingly good. I'm not even a fan of fried fish, but they make it crispy and moist without the greasiness every other fried fish option suffers from. The hush puppies are the only hush puppies I've ever had that actually have a flavor. read more

Always fresh. I've placed several call ahead orders and picked them up at the drive up window.

The chicken tenders were great! They were fresh handmade tenders, which I wasn't expecting. Calamari was okay for my liking but I would definitely give it another shot. Shrimp & fish basket was everything we had expected. read more

A family owned and run seafood place that has been in town for a number of years, and never disappoints. Everyone is always super-friendly, and the good is always great. The chips remind me of the old Arthur Treachers chain...I hope Rusty's is around forever! read more

Best fish n chips ever!!!!!! Cooked to order. Tuesday's get a fish basket and drink for $5! So yummy!

We got the Tuesday lunch special and it was the best fish I've had in a while. My favorite fish is normally Old Bag of Nails but this was every bit as good for a great price! Keep up the great work!! read more

I just adore Rusty's Wharf.. I mostly come here for family meals and I just love that they always have a coupon in the Val-Pak for a free meal so we get 3 dinners for the price of 2.. The food is like a better quality long john silvers.. That may be why ljs went out of business in pataskala? Their tartar sauce is delish! I love their clams, fried fish, grilled fish, rice, hush puppies.. Everything is great.. Really fresh and doesn't seem like it's been frozen!!! One day soon I'm going to try their wings.. I've heard great things.. They are in a remote location but everyone in pataskala knows just where to find them... read more

Great seafood!! Had a family basket of fried fish (8 BIG pieces!) with 2 large sides (cole slaw and Mac and cheese) and 13 hush puppies ($22). The fish was very fresh. Every piece was very large. The mac & cheese was definitely homemade along with the coleslaw. The hush puppies were not greasy at all. I am very pleasantly surprised. We also had 2 shrimp baskets (6 large shrimp in each basket) with fries and two hush puppies in each basket. Definitely worth the price of $8 each. The restaurant itself was very clean and perfectly decorated with cute fishermen theme. They made everything to order. Will go there again! The place was crowded during Saturday lunch hour. read more

We love going to this charming restaurant a few times month. There is something for everyone: I love the baked fish, my husband gets the fish basket or sandwich, and my daughter (who isn't a seafood fan) loves the burgers. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious and comes out quick. Try the desserts! read more

Well, I wanted to try this place but I regret it. There is no difference between this place and long john silver's. We tried several different items and all were pretty much a greasy mess and neither I or my brother liked it and ended up throwing most of it away. I really like supporting mom and pop places but I won't be going back. The people there were really nice though. read more

We went to the new location last night and thought the new place wouldn't have the exhaust issues the old building had, we were wrong. It's a shame as we love the fish. Our clothes and hair smelled horrible so we're glad you have a drive thru. read more

Our local fish & chip restaurant went out of business a few months ago, so we started looking for a new place to get fried fish when we got the urge and have settled on Rusty's. Simply put, I love Rusty's fried fish and chips! Yea, the people working there are very friendly and the price is great and the facility is average, but the bottom line is I love their fried fish! If our local fish and chip business reopens, it won't affect me. I'm going to Rusty's for my fish and chip cravings. read more

This place is a hidden gem in Pataskala. It's nestled in a shopping center and sits back a ways from Broad Street behind a car wash, so it's easy to miss. I lived right down the road for over a year before I even realized that it was there. The service is great. The food is excellent. The place is tiny! If you plan to eat in, make sure that you avoid lunch or dinner time because it fills up fast. Also, be prepared to smell like a deep fryer when you leave. The ventilation could be a little better. My advice, call ahead and get your order to-go so that it's easy in and easy out. read more

I don't live in the area anymore, but whenever I come back to visit I make sure that I have Rusty's at least once. There's not a lot of diversity in Pataskala's food offerings, so it's always nice to know Rusty's is there to counterbalance the chain restaurants across the street. Great fish, great fries, great chicken, and most importantly great people! Wishing continued success to the Rusty's Wharf crew! read more

One of my all time favorites! Been eating here since they opened and absolutely love it! The food is so good and reasonably priced. The staff is always friendly even at the busiest times. Love this place! read more

Great fish!! Fried cod with chips - think steak fries. They do a great job! The owner stopped by our table, very attentive staff. We will go back read more

Oh man, if I lived closer I'd be in big trouble! This place serves the best fish sandwich I've ever had in a comfortable, clean environment with sweet, attentive service. I also had the beans and mac & cheese with hush puppies - all to die for. Free wifi was a bonus as I was there for about 3 hours while I waited on my car to be serviced. Friendly staff were kind to all who entered, whether regular or newbie. read more

Great place! If you like fish and chips, this is the place! Friendly staff, good food, and great prices.

I HATED hush puppies...until I had some from here. This restaurant is SO wonderful, my picky eating children even love to eat here! Very tasty! read more

Tucked in a shopping center behind a car wash, they can be a bit hard to locate on your first visit, but it's well worth the effort. This place puts LJS to shame. The fish is perfectly fried, not greasy at all and the batter doesn't overpower the fish. The clams are tender and moist and the shrimp are nice sized. I almost always get the sampler which is a good value and enough food to not leave you hungry. You can't go wrong here. read more

I'm not a fan of fish so when fiancee suggested this place I was nervous but it was excellent. I of course had chicken and now this is where we go whenever he wants fish. I Love the decor. It's not a big place but comfy. read more

The service here is not table side, but the food is much like Arthur Treacher's and it taste's pretty good too.

Fresh food! It's made to order. Delicious and great customer service. We discovered this place because we saw it on Groupon. Was such a good deal and we had plenty of food we asked for a to-go box. We dined in and we were constantly asked how everything was. Don't let the outside of the location fool ya ;) read more

The food is great! I'm English and this is the closest to British Fish and Chips I've had in a long time! They even have vinegar

Ok I know that most of my reviews are negative. That means that it's a rare occasion indeed when a place to eat is so good that I'm moved to review in the positive. Rustys has the best fish and fries anywhere. Being a practically adopted Brit (whovian, torchwood, broadchurch, etc) I know my fish and chips. Rustys has it, others don't. Family friendly, try the birch beer. read more

Wow! The fish and chips are awesome! Like Treachers but even better! And the price and portions are fantastic! Definitely will be back!

Had the Fish and Chips...Nothing special here! Have had better tasting fish in Columbus! Fish was tasteless! Sorry to disappoint, however, being truthful! read more

The best fish and chips I have ever had! My kids love going there for lunch. Staff is always friendly and the food is always fresh. The hush puppies can't be beat. If you are looking for someone different in Pataskala definitely check it out! read more

Greasy and disgusting. Will not eat here again. The food was not what we'd expected. It was so greasy. It was laden with fat and just down right unappealing. read more

I had high hopes based on some of the reviews, but the fish and chicken was basically the same as Long John's, Marino's, etc. The mac-n-cheese was good, not great...about a step above KFC's mac. You order at the counter and they bring your food out. The place was clean, including bathrooms. The help was friendly. If you're in the area, give it a try. I'm in Grove City and I wouldn't make the drive just for this place. If I were already out that way I'd eat there, but it's nothing I just gotta have. read more

Visited Rusty's Wharf once and will not be going back again. All of the fish is heavily battered and fried...basically 60% breading 40% fish. Basically like a Long John Silvers. Was hoping for so much more. For what you get, their prices are really high. read more

no masks, no gloves, no problem. i am currently watching some employees working and only one is properly wearing a mask. i've been here for about 20 minutes and nobody has washed their hands or sanitized a surface. the cooks are touching the food with their sweaty, raw hands. i just spent $35 here and unfortunately i'll be throwing my food away, which saddens me because damn do those COVID fries smell good. :/ read more

Ok. I live in New England and thought I was crazy to get seafood in Ohio. I must say. I had the calamari basket and was so glad I did. In fact I don't think I have had such good calamari since living in California over 10 years ago. Perfectly cooked with light breading. I love the fries too. I was a few doors down at the quilt shop and asked for a recommendation. The perfect vacation meal after driving 5 hour. I will return next time I drive to visit my son. read more

Rustys is great! Staff is friendly. Fish is good. This is more of a fast casual style place. Order at the counter, have a seat at one of the heavy wooden tables, and they bring it out to you quick. Glad we have this choice among the few in Pataskala. read more

Very good fish fillets- all cooked to order and fresh. Big, tasty fries and the best hush puppies.

Delicious food, friendly service, and you definitely don't go away hungry, all for a great price! We will definitely be back!

Whenever the wife and I are in the mood for fish n chips, there's two places local that will fulfill our urges. Luckily, they're pretty similar to each other, Marino's in Upper Arlington, and a bit farther out in the suburbs, Rusty's Wharf. I'm still undecided on which is the better one, as they're both owned by different family members, and there's slight menu and recipe differences between the two, but I'm leaning towards Rusty's Wharf. Fish is always well breaded and hot, not over fishy flavored. Chips are tasty, I've also tried some of their other items and enjoyed everything but the chicken. Service is great, and for being a thousand miles inland, you'd think you're at the edge of the Atlantic eating a fresh catch! read more
