Great service. Food is always fresh. I have always ordered on line for pickup and it has always been ready. We especially love the fish tacos, grilled or fried on corn tortillas. This place is great! I feel like I'm not in Midland, every time I visit here because the atmosphere is amazing. The tacos are great, the queso is uniquely delicious. The habanero margarita is delicious. Bill the owner is on site constantly, cleaning tables, greeting customers & handing out free Taco cards & complimentary chip, salsa, & queso. We had a great dinner here...patio was great for the Fall weather. Tacos we tried: Fried Shrimp, Beef Fajita & Fried Fish. Very Good flavor. We also did the dip trio. Can't beat the happy hour: 3-7pm for $3.25 margs. Bar Tenders was very nice and helpful. Give this place a go...if you kids have dance class across the street it can be a great HH spot. read more

Most of the food was bland. My wife and I had 5 tacos together. The BBQ Brisket taco was reasonably good, but the Texican's ground meat was chewy (from cooking, not gristle!) overcooked, and tasted like DAYS OLD grease. My wife was unable to even swallow due to the taste. This was the 2nd worst Mexican food experience I've had in my 60 years of life. We had already decided we would not be returning before we got to the Texican taco, it was just the last straw. Also quite overpriced for small tacos. read more

We had been super anxious to try their tacos & were extremely disappointed. First they started closing at 4:30pm so we couldn't get it for dinner. So we decided to to go in the morning around 8am to see if we could try some out. We called in an order for 5 tacos - brisket egg & cheese & chorizo egg & cheese. When unwrapping the brisket taco, it was extremely small & very greasy. There was barely any egg in it & a couple tiny pieces of brisket. The tortillas were like thin hard pieces of cardboard, that are hard to bite through & chewy, all the while dripping grease. Ate a couple bites & threw the rest of the tacos away. Very dissatisfied, do not want to go back & do not recommend. I will drive to odessa to get Torchys instead. The Stripes gas station has better tortillas than Rusty Taco, also they will fill you up with eggs & whatever toppings you want. I would recommend going to Stripes for tacos over Rusty Taco 100% of the time. Sad we got another bust restaurant, maybe if they shut down they will replace with a Torchys. read more

I was expecting this restaurant to be fantastic due to the fact that it just opened, yet I was sadly mistaken. The food was not fresh, I ordered a ground beef taco, "the texican". Seems like an easy thing to make, but when I got it it was under seasoned and tasted like grease. The tomato on top was wilted and old, as if it had been sitting out of a fridge all day. Pretty disappointed. Ordered brisket tacos and chips/queso to go. They filled the chips and queso immediately so by the time I waited to get my food and get home, the queso was super cold. The Brisket tacos are super bland and dry. Taste more like bbq tacos. Service was great over all and the wait wasn't long. It took us over an hour and half to get 2 tacos and a kids meal. When I finally got my order, the kids meal was wrong. Nobody in the restaurant was getting food and there was no sign of a manager or team lead even trying to control the situation. Stop togo orders, limit the menu, halt orders for an hour. Do something! People will be a lot less upset about those things than not getting a freaking taco in an hour and half's time. Awesome place and awesome food and drinks. Great atmosphere for Midland, TX for happy hour and I'd think even great for a brunch. Bad reviews previously typically happen with new establishments. However the bartender is a mixologist and the owner made sure the tacos came out of the kitchen great. Give this place a chance you won't be let down and it may just be your new go to spot. Check out the Rusty Shark margarita. Or a house Margarita with a shot of Patron, an Acapulco cod fish taco with house salsa, and some chips & queso. Patio is relaxing if you can get a table. Restrooms are clean and staff is very hospitable. Highly recommended. I flew in from Houston to check it out. read more

I met two friends there. No one finished their tacos. I had the Texican no flavor on the meat, packaged shredded cheese was too dry. Definitely subpar. Street corn has little flavor. Had to argue with the staff over what was ordered. Wouldn't recommend. Taco Divino is a much better choice. read more

Food was nothing to go home and brag about. Staff wasn't the friendliest. Ordered 4 tacos and only received 3. When we went to ask the kitchen about our missing taco a lady in the kitchen said loudly "nuh uh I made that tray I know I made the taco" and then 3 employees came to our table just to make sure we didn't have all 4 and were lying about a missing taco. i went to the trusty taco and ordered the rusty taco. i was really disappointed to see the pineapples weren't fresh and the pork tasted like bbq not what i was expecting for their signature taco, i had also got the baja shrimp taco and it was fire,but the Queso watery but came out quickly before i even payed. the wait was decent and not long for a restaurant that just opened and the staff was questionably friendly but overall i'd give it a 7/10 read more
