Myself and my two daughters stopped in Henryetta for the night on our drive down to Florida. We were moving from California to Florida, and Henryetta was a midway stop for us. Well, we sure were lucky to have found Rustlers BBQ for dinner! We were tired from our drive almost didn't go out, but we made it to Rustlers and had an AMAZING meal. Great BBQ and amazing service. I had some questions about the route we would be taking the next day on our drive south through Oklahoma and the owners of Rustler's pulled up some chairs and offered us a lot of good advice. Great little place! It doesn't look like much from the road, but the food speaks for itself. Very nicely decorated inside. We arrived on a Sunday and it was one of the only places in town that was open. We were glad it was! There were a number of families eating there and the staff did everything in their power to make us feel like family, too. We were welcomed upon entering and they even offered us small bites of a new dish they were trying out. Everyone I went with kept commenting about how much they enjoyed the whole experience. We all ordered something different and everyone loved what they had! I ordered the pulled pork with coleslaw and potato salad. The food came out really fast and the prices were pretty reasonable. Dropped in while traveling back to Woodward. All six of us ordered something different and everything was excellent. Pulled pork sandwich, Jethro Bowl, brisket sandwich, hot link, ribs and a Round Thang. Corn on the cob, slaw, potato salad and potato soup for our sides. This is really good Q from a quaint little spot. We stopped with a group of 6 about 30 minutes before they closed while visiting family in Henrietta. It was a slow evening for them but they were welcoming and attentive. The ribs were very good and my husband had the baked potato loaded with brisket. He ate every bite. Their fries are yummy with some kind of seasoning crust. I was tempted to try the barbecued bologna! The diner was very clean, new and decorated in a sports theme, with lots of "just do it" type quotes. The slaw was not homemade and we did not try other sides besides the fries. They have fried catfish also for those not wanting barbecue. Overall you can't go wrong. Get off the interstate and support this local joint!! read more

But we made an exception on our way home from Tulsa,and boy am I glad we did For starters the place was in an authentic country setting and had a cozy feel. The staff was friendly. The service was good. We got the four meat platter,and it was amazing the ribs were as tender as I have where had. The smoked turkey had fantastic flavor. The pulled pork was excellent the brisket was flavorful. The bologna was good as well. They also brought brownies to the table to top it off. I highly recommend it. This is a small, order-at-the-counter place which, in my experience, often have the best BBQ. Rustlers was no exception. I had the 1/4 lb pulled pork sandwich and it was excellent. Very moist, flavorful, and no fat! And the price was very reasonable. You can't do much better than that. They only had two sauce selections, regular and hot, but they were both excellent tomato-based sauces and the kind I prefer so I didn't need more choices. My friend had the pulled pork tacos which he raved about. I hope we're passing by here at mealtime on our way back East. We would definitely stop again. read more

Rustlers BBQ is definitely one of the best barbecue I have ever had, and has some of the most hospitable/nicest staff in Oklahoma. This place was the perfect lunch stop on our way to Lake Eufaula! Very friendly owners. Clean bathrooms. Our little girl didn't have much of an appetite and they let her sample their rotisserie chicken (which was flavorful). The brisket was tender. Traveling through on our way back to Vermont. Followed reviews for great BBQ and was greeted by the owner, given great recommendations by the staff and experienced wonderful, and I mean wonderful BBQ! Had a plate featuring 5 meats and three sides. Reasonably priced and spectacular flavor. Brisket was my favorite followed by the pulled pork. Dessert was smoked pecan pie! This is a small but excellent place! The atmosphere is pleasant. Beautiful decor! Clean!! Everyone was very friendly, attentive and obviously cared about their customers. It's five-star rating convinced us to give it a try and we were not disappointed! It's located pretty close to I-40, and although small, it looks like they are expanding soon! We were traveling back to AZ from Fla when the hurricane hit fla we were only able to stay in fla 2 days because of the hurricane and because of the hurricane in Texas we had to change our route from the 10 to the 40...we were tired and hungry and stopped for gas and we asked about a good BBQ and we were directed to Rustlers ... we were impressed with the decorum and how the owner decorated the western theme of you guessed it THE DUKE ...BIG JAKE ...JOHN WAYNE ... the owner was very friendly and he was so excited to have us try his BBQ and gave us extra tastes ... The Ribs were excellent tender and he used I think almond wood so there was a great blend of the pork without the strong smoked taste that sometimes can over power the true pork taste ... the beans were very tasteful and the coleslaw was homemade as was everything else... if you are looking for great BBQ in Henryetta OKC you will not be disappointed! This was really good barbecue. I had pulled pork sandwich, which was tender and flavorful, served on a nicely warmed bun. I chose the beans as my side, which was not barbecued beans, but had a nice sauce with a little jalapeño I think, adding a little kick to them. From other diners in my party, I heard that the ribs were nice and tender, same for the sliced brisket. As a nice touch, the proprietor came out with brownies for everyone. I don't live in Henryetta, but would definitely visit again when passing through, although it would have to be Thursday-Sunday since that is when they are open. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the dining area is very small. If you live in town, get your order to go, especially if you have a large group. read more
