She has been doing my husbands hair 24 years The salon is a perfect blend of her casual fun style and Lori's! I feel completely at ease and it is really nice to know there is a coffee there if I need. It is clean, comfortable, good blend of current and 80's 90's music to keep you going. This is a before and after of my hair.. I am new to the area and came across this salon, I randomly walked in to this very nice shop and was promptly greeted by Lori. She was so kind and helped me get an appointment with Liz.. I have to say I have never been treated so good in my life.. Liz understood all my concerns and did exactly what I wanted with ease... Hello everyone I felt the need to come on here and respond to the recent post by one of the clients I helped out named Susan. Since I can't respond directly under her post I would like a chance to be able to tell our side of the story. All these pictures are showing texts what really happened and how her hair came out that day. I also added before pictures showing how she came in before me touching it. This service was provided over a month ago ( February 28th) and the picture she is providing is after it's faded and washed out. We had made an appointment for her upkeep which I ended up canceling because it didn't seem she was happy with anything we offered to do. I'm responding to Liz P's reply to my post. First of all, that pic I took was just a WEEK LATER AFTER the first color didn't take and they charged me an additional $40, bringing the total I paid plus product to over $300. The color COMPLETELY came out just three weeks after it was done and the wet picture does not show the awful purple and orange highlights it was from day one. I don't lie, no one got back to me about a refund and this place is HORRIBLE. When I tried going in politely to talk to the owner, I was treated really horribly by one of the stylists there who was very very rude. I was lied to by one of the owners and by Liz about a refund too. This place should be avoided at all costs. read more

This location is accessible, new & refreshing. It really adds value to this area as I never came further then the mall. Mel's got my hair down to the science and I can trust her to do my hair the way I like without me reestablishing my style. I choose to drive to Mel from MV every month because she does such a great job. The salon is huge, open and has this rustic vibe that makes you feel right at home. The rest of the crew here is awesome, they are all friendly and pickup dialogue to get to know you. I came in because I was dealing with significant hair loss due to a surgery I had a few months prior and it left me with holes in my hair and intense breakage. I really thought I was gonna cry during my session because I knew my hair had to go from the middle of my back to shoulder length to match the breakage. I had never been to this salon before and had Liz, who was hired recently and became a stylist about a year ago. I was a little scared knowing she did not have as much experience as other stylists I had gone to, but wow. She was so unbelievably sympathetic, confident in her skills, used amazing modern techniques, and made me feel so confident in my new hair style. I was so nervous to come and get this chop but Liz and the other stylists made me feel so good with my end result and validated my feelings. She understood I wanted to keep as much length as possible and made it happen while hiding problem areas with my hair. Everyone here was so positive and genuine. Michaelia did such an amazing job on my haircut. I did a walk in, however I came in a busy time so the team recommended I came tomorrow for an appointment. I really appreciate that they went out of their way to get in contact with one of the girls and worked around my schedule to come in tomorrow. But Michaelia came in at the right time I was already there and decided to give me my haircut. I'm glad she did my cut and explained to me the process of cutting my hair and how it'll look if she cut it this way. In the end, she left me happy with my haircut and trustworthy of my long hair.
