Huge menu, great food- usually great, quick & friendly service. Well managed. Sometimes has a bit of a wait during the dinner hours, but usually get seated within 10 minutes. A little on the noisy and brighter-lights side of the typical dinner experience so it's good for people who appreciate that kind of atmosphere (people with fidigty kids or who have a hard time seeing in the darker resturants). Ate at Rustic Grille with my pops last night at his request. I haven't been there in years and it's doing pretty well. A little small and way busy, but the food was really good. We ordered Bomb Fries, yes that's what they're called, and holy cow they really were the bomb (my dad's words, I swear). Covered in all kinds of cheeses and bacon, served up with a side of some ranch-y style dressing, they were so plentiful that I had to bring half of them home. Next up, a calzone with broccoli for me and a personal pan pizza with the works for him. My dad was skeptical that it would be enough for him (he can seriously eat), but it turned out to be just right. My calzone was the size of small baby and the leftovers served as my lunch today. Stopped in for a quick lunch. I had a chicken pesto panini and a glass of iced tea. The sandwich was well-prepared fresh, tender chicken and a good pesto sauce along with some flavorful roasted peppers. The ice tea tasted fresh-brewed, if a a little stale. I ordered the eggplant parm with cream of mushroom soup. The soup tasted of heavy cream, butter, with a dash of salt and pepper. Mushrooms were gummy, probably canned. It worked okay as a dip for the garlic bread, but only for a few bites. Absurdly rich, zero balance. Eggplant parm was bland, sauce had no seasoning. Three flavorless cheese squares were plopped lackadaisically onto the top. Brilliantly dull. Whole wheat pene beneath, likely Barilla, was pointless given that I was served an entire loaf of garlic bread. This was awful. I cannot remember the last time I had a meal this bad. More disappointing than lunch at Wawa. At least there you get what you pay for. read more

This is a good, casual restaurant with a huge menu selection. Everything we've tried has been tasty, with nice large portions. It was okay....my daughter has a dairy allergy so we ordered tomato pie and a veggie pizza. Vegetables definitely frozen or canned and sauce had a bitter garlicky taste. Rustic is probably my favorite place to eat in Medford. Their Acapulco wrap is awesome. The white veggie pizza is to die for, the taco pizza is the absolute tastiest!! The wait staff is always super friendly, despite the fact that I come with a one year old who repeatedly throws her food on the floor (we try and tip up to make up for it) the waitresses still smile and are very kind. The prices are great. Pretty much identical wrap at pop shop would run you $11 with no chips/side. $7.95 here with chips. Can't beat it! read more

Ever since Izzie's sadly closed its doors forever, Rustic Grille has become my number one go-to lunch spot in Medford. They have been consistent in good quality and service since they opened their doors and have a big enough menu to satisfy any craving. I almost always start off my dining experience with a cup of chicken pastina soup, with grated parmesan cheese on top. Best soup ever, especially to-go for the times when you are trying to kick a seasonal cold. I'm a huge fan of the Tuscan Feta Wrap (eggplant, mushrooms, spinach, feta) and the specialty pizzas. More recently I've been asking them to make me sautéed broccoli with chicken and garlic in olive oil and they can whip it up for me, no questions asked - even if it's not formally on the menu. I've never had a bad experience here and it's always nice to see the familiar faces of the servers, some who have been working there since the doors opened. read more

We want to love this place as it is in town and has a large menu. However, we always end up leaving disappointed. Think this week was our last try. Wraps were dry and tasteless. Didn't want chips with the wrap and was told there was no substitutions or anything else for an up-charge. Child wanted mozzarella sticks...they were soggy and served over shredded lettuce, which was odd. Very disappointed in the taco salad. Service is always meh and our server this time clearly did not want to be working, be friendly or helpful. If you want a slice of pizza, go for it...other than that try somewhere else. My wife and I had a long day and neither wanted to cook so we decided to order some form of take out and Rustic grill was the decision. We ordered mozzarella sticks, a Medford Cobb salad (with the lemon vinegarette, and an order of wings. I looked up menu online and placed the order by calling in. After thinking about the final cost, I called back to ask if it were correct and I was told the the menus online does not reflect current prices. After eating the food, the salad was awful. The vinaigrette dressing was basically water no oil and came with lunch meat chicken not chicken breast. Neither of us liked the sticks and the wings were soggy because they place them in a plastic container awaiting you arrival. I was there when told they would be ready. The final cost was $26.60 but when you look at there menus online it would have amounted out to about $17:00. I overpaid for what I received. read more

I love, love, love the garden salad; it is always fresh. But what really makes the salad is the balsamic dressing. Sometimes I get a little tub of the dressing to go. The one thing that is just so sub par about Rustic is the service. Sometimes we get friendly waitresses, but most of the time we get little sourpuss snots who can't even set the table for us. It kind of kills the mood when a table of 5-7 people have to coordinate and pass each other the napkins, silverware, straws, and drinks. We still go here about 1-3 times a month because the menu has good vegetarian options, but we really wish most of the servers were more professional and actually worthy of the 20% tips we always leave. read more
