On vacation with my boyfriend last year and rented a cabin near Divide. Stopped to get dinner. Bartender (and server because this is a tiny bar in a tiny town) was super friendly and from the Quad Cities (IA/IL) where I am from. Chatted about hometown things. The chicken tenders that I ordered were double breaded and were SO good, the ranch was housemade and amazing, my boyfriend got a Philly cheesesteak which was delicious. We sat on the patio by ourselves and were obsessed with the sunset view of Pikes Peak. The bartender came out and talked to us several times asking us how our food was and how we were liking the area, what we'd been doing on our vacation, very nice guy. Then, to top it off, halfway through our meal the owner pulls up with his Rottweiler, Groot. He sat right next to me on the patio being cute (might've snuck him a couple French fries) during my entire meal and was so sweet. We are coming back to Colorado this month and detouring an hour out of our route to come back to Russ's place. 12/10 would recommend. read more

Travelling from Florida, driving up through the mountains and wanted to stop at a local spot for a beer and a burger. Omg so glad we did! This place is the perfect little spot. Our bartender was amazing and welcoming. We had the mushroom Swiss burger at her recommendation and the mushrooms. The best burger I've ever had!!! Also had a local brew. The mushrooms were so good, not the typical cheap, thick breading you usually find. Definitely recommend for a burger if you're passing through. read more

We were in town on vacation and found Russ's on our last day, sadly. We thought we'd check it out to see if it'd be a good place to watch the Super Bowl. What a GREAT place!! Burgers and other food are amazing! But for our group, it was Bobby, Julz and Steve-O that really made it such a great place. They have fun working together and they let it show and make even us out of towners feel comfortable and like we were regulars. However I have a couple of concerns of concerns it appears the kitchen is in another building and and they come in through a side door and the server's hair is dragged through the food as she navigates The door. While the burgers were very good, the fries were blah, and the coleslaw is just shredded cabbage with ranch dressing. The main reason for the low rating is the smoking. People smoking right in the doorways and the chef was smoking just outside the back door. All that smoke was blowing in and made it impossible to even stay. Prior to today, I'd had a bacon cheeseburger to go once and that was good. Today, came in for lunch with my family. The spicy poppers with homemade ranch to start were yummy. Then, my kid spilled water and the guy waiting on us immediately came over to help us clean it up. I appreciate people being kid-friendly since I have a 2yo. Their philly is good, kids chicken tenders pretty good. My chef salad was good but wish there was more chicken on it, addition of croutons and hard boiled egg and cheese, and maybe some homemade bread on the side. We've come back several times to this spot and it's become one of our favorites. The customer service is friendly and that goes a long way especially when paired with good food. read more

Came in with some friends who lives in the area and they bought us a late lunch at the local burger place. We were greeted as we entered and our drink orders were taken. We ended up ordering for ourselves the Hawaiian Teriyaki Burger with fries on the side and Bacon Avocado Burger with salad on the side (ranch dressing). Our orders came out, we took our first bite and loved it! Taste delicious! The fries were thick and not greasy at all! Perfect! Yummy! When we come back, we will definitely make another stop! went with my family while on vacation and we were served burnt onion rings, burnt to the point the onion had dissolved, and told sorry nothing we are going to do about it. additionally when we ordered our orders weren't completely taken before the waiter ran off, and the food was wrong when it came out, instead of remaking a burger that had been made wrong the meat was just washed off and reheated. fries were stale and overcooked and the service was mediocre at best. if you're in the area avoid this restaurant! read more
