This is right in the middle of Manitou city. It is in an old health spa building. The ambiance is real retro. There were 6 of us so we tried a lot of different things. We had 2 appetizer the fried Twinkie and Texas balls. Both were ok the fries Twinkie was very spicy but good. The balks were a bit weird for my taste. One of the good things was that the kids loved the kids menu and they let my 14 year old order off of it. The service was great and friendly.

Border Burger Bar is a great place to relax and eat while siteseeing/shopping in Manitou Springs. The menu has a large variety of starters, burgers, sandwiches, salads and sides and everything looked so good as I checked out what others diners had ordered. They also had a full drink menu with both alcoholic and NA beverages. We ordered 2 burgers for 3 of us and also shared the large bowl of tasty coleslaw slaw. The only complaint we had was that the tomato slices on both burgers were really yellow in the middle. We all discarded them. But the hand cut fries were delicious and the burgers were very good. Our server was Cason, and he was perfect. He made great suggestions and in spite of having a lot of tables we never had to wait for anything. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

    The Miami the Hangover Burger*

My boyfriend and I had a great time dining at this burger spot. I ordered the Miami--also known as the Hangover Burger--and it was a surprisingly delicious combination of queso, caramelized onions, and an over-easy egg. The flavors came together perfectly and definitely lived up to its name. If you're adventurous and not a picky eater, I highly recommend giving it a try--it was exactly what I needed to cure my hangover!

After exploring Garden of the Gods we were on the hunt for a family friendly place nearby where we could sit down and enjoy a meal. After some searching, Border Burger Bar came up and I'm glad it did as it was a hit for our whole crew! I've been to Manitou Springs many times over the years, but there are still many restaurants I haven't yet tried. This one was new to me, and it really hit the spot on a spring afternoon. If you have kids it's a good option as it's a burger place and they have a robust kids menu. For the grown ups we split a burger and fries, and each tried a local beer. The baby just had a bottle :-) The staff was super friendly, it was easy to get in for lunch, and we had a great time. I'd definitely return if in the mood for burgers next time we're in the area.

Good spot for a casual burger dining experience with spacious seating. Ordered some appetizers to start which was probably the highlight of the meal. The burgers themselves are all unseasoned. Guacamole was fresh which was great but lacked flavor as well. Their homemade ranch was a highlight. And their fries were very good reminded me of five guys. Overall not a bad spot for this cute shopping area but for a place that has "burger" in the name I think that area lacked the most. Service was fine.

Wow! We visited in the late winter, so seating was not a problem. My son ordered the Grilled Mozzarella sticks, which were delicious and plentiful. I ordered the Country Frisco. The spicy Asian sauce really tops this chicken sandwich. We couldn't walk away hungry, and a couple of people got to go boxes. The fries are very good, too! Parking was pay-by-the-hour. It's a neat little town with several shops and very nice view.

Border Burger Bar is a must visit! We stopped for lunch on our way to Pikes Peak Cog Train in the quaint town of Manitou Springs. Service was quick and had several menu items to recommend. We tried the Texas Twinkies to start and really enjoy them. My husband had a burger which he throughly enjoyed as the beef is ground fresh daily. I enjoy the Santa Fe New Mexican chicken sandwich with fresh cut fries. The portion was huge! We also learned they make their own sauces in house. We had the pleasure of chatting with the owner Rick who was extremely genuine and wanted our honest feedback of the Twinkies. We would definitely stop by here again should we find ourselves in Manitou again. Don't miss this place!

One sure sign that a meal was truly good is when you can still recall its satisfactory taste and presentation hours or days later. That's exactly what happened after my partner and I dined at BBB. He tried the Patty Melt (which he loved) and I ordered the Salmon Burger (which was excellent). A restaurant that can dare to have a seafood burger on their menu and execute it successfully is deserving of major kudos. It was so delicious. Kudos also to our server who was thorough and friendly, as well as the fun patio we got to enjoy. If you're visiting like we were; I'd say BBB should most definitely be on your list!

We sat on the patio and it was so nice for early October! Dog friendly, great service and the atmosphere was so chill. I didn't get a picture of my Border salad with the red Chicken but the chicken was fantastic. The hubs had an Elk burger. It wasn't "my thing" but he loved it! Sweet potato fries with marshmallow cream, fried pickles were a hit with their ranch. The lemon vinaigrette dressing on my salad was really tangy but not in a bad way, I'm just not a super tangy person. Should've opted for the ranch. Otherwise, enjoyed everything from the hostess stand to paying the bill! Also, the blueberry blonde beer was so yummy!

If you are looking for a burger to meet everybody's taste, I highly recommend Border Burger Bar. They had burgers from all over the world that included fish, chicken, shrimp, tuna in addition to the meat patty. It's a small place and they try really hard to keep the flow moving so you don't have to wait too long. But because of this the service was a bit poor for our table. It's a cute little place with a big selection of burgers! Give it a try.

The first time we visited was July 16 and was awesome. The second time we brought my family and was extremely disappointed. The service was horrendous, we waited 45 minutes for drinks and to take order, then we waiting another 40 minutes for appetizers. We waited 30 minutes for our meals and were very cold. The fries were greasy and cold, the hamburgers were cold and over cooked. We sent back one burger because we were hungry and tired of waiting. Should have sent them all back. The waitress first blamed it in the kitchen, then blamed it on to many people. There was 2 other tables that came in after us and left before us. Very disappointed for our 2nd time.

Stopped in on Father's Day for lunch with my hubby, our 9yr old son, adult daughter, her husband and our grandson. I got a salad, it was a large portion, although the lettuce itself had an odd taste like it needed to be rinsed better? Kind of a chemical taste which was completely unappetizing. The chicken was good. It was definitely NOT worth $18 though by NO means, not even close. Our server was very nice & on top of things. Hubby's polish sausage looked like something I could make at home & would be better tasting. My daughter got the club sandwich and it looked good & the fries were decent flavored, but very limp and soggy. My son-in-law got the smallest toughest cooked lobster roll I've ever seen & it was $19. It's way overpriced for the quality. It definitely needs more healthy options besides just a few salads.

Nestled in the bank of the water in Manitou Spring - this restaurant has fabulous outdoor seating. We were sat promptly. Our server was awesome, very attentive. We started with the cannon balls - mashed potatoes, bacon, cheese and chives deep fried. They were so delicious - a must try!! My husband and I both got burgers. You can tell they're made in-house. They were yummy. They also have fresh cut fries -- my favorite! I upgraded mine to truffle fries. Sadly, they were a bit too oily for my liking. I'd recommend going with the naked fries. Tip: A bagpiper was playing across the water. It was cool for the first few minutes, but after 30 it wasn't. I actually love bagpipes - I grew up listening to my dad playing them. This particular piper is not good. If you get a table outside and he's playing, take my advice and change to a table inside the restaurant. You'll thank me!!

The food was good and the waitress was nice. A little pricey. A crown and coke was $16.00.

I highly recommend the Desert Sage - it's blue but turns purple with lemon juice. How neat! The tea room was medium-sized. It had a cute and charming Victorian ambiance. They had lots of tea party hats to dress up. So fun! I'm taking a star off because of The Queen's Parlour's PRICING and the design of their service routine. There is a $10 per person difference between the Light Victorian Tea ($35 pp) and High Tea ($45 pp). For an extra $10 pp, you basically get a fruit cup and a second pot of tea (different flavor). The service was impersonal with being served in sequence, so you hear the same spiel table after table introducing each course. It felt very factory-like. There was only one server for the majority of our visit, and she definitely did her best with how the tea service is done here. Again, the food was very good and flavorful. I would return again if a visiting friend or family member wanted to experience the tea room here. I would just opt for the Light Victorian Tea. We did tour the castle after tea and visit the gift shop. Everyone who worked at the castle was very pleasant to interact with.

We've taken tea several times and the menu is always excellent with a great selection of teas. The food is quite filling and is so expertly prepared. Flavor combinations are really great!
