If you are in Manitou Springs, Savelli's is at the light where Business route US 24 intersects Crystal Park Road. We stopped in for an early dinner on a weekday afternoon and found only one other party seated inside. We were greeted promptly and ushered to a nice booth overlooking the intersection. The server (Angela) came by pretty quickly to deliver menus, take our drink order, and ask if we had any questions about the menu. Savelli's is more than a pizza joint, though they do a steady business filling take-out orders. We saw a stream of cars drive up, park, pick up an order, then drive off. Pizza offerings are encompassing and explained clearly on their menu and big board behind the counter. We went for entrés instead of pizza--stuffed shells and a dinner-size Caesar salad. The food tasted very good, though the shells were tepid, rather than piping hot. The other main knock on the meal was how long it took them to fill bring our food to the table. It was about 25 minutes for what seems to one a fairly simple meal. Certainly worth a try if you are in town. Can't go wrong with takeout pizza. And if you decide to sit down, know it may be a while before your meal is served. read more

Went when it was fairly empty, only one other table was there and we were seated behind them and it was no big deal. Then, a slightly larger family with kids were seated next to us at a four top when there were 5 of them, so one had to sit in a chair in the aisle next to us. The kids were kids and a bit loud/restless which was fine, but I found it an odd choice to seat them in that small space when the other side of the restaurant was completely empty and had more room for them. The area we were in was like a little nook at the side of the restaurant. The pizza was good, but we ordered the peanut butter pie to go. Unfortunately, I didn't open it until we got back to the hotel and found it was a single slice. The biggest problem? It was like $12. For that price we thought it would at least be a mini pie or a large homemade slice or something. Instead, it was a dinky sliver of a frozen pie like the kind where you can get an entire frozen pie for less than the price of that single slice. Go for the pizza pie, not the dessert pie. read more

We had a large group of family in from out of town and locally. We'd spent the morning at the Rennefest and no one felt like going out so I ordered pizzas from Savelli's. I ordered four of their specialty pizzas and one cheese pizza for the kiddos. All of the pizza was delicious and everyone loved them. Service was kind of off. The young lady taking our order over the phone was struggling (I was put on hold three different times...). We were told it'd be twenty minutes so we headed over and got there in about 20 minutes. The same young lady was trying to run the register and answer the phone (which was ringing incessantly). She looked our order up and read it back correctly then went in the kitchen to check on the order. She came back out and told us the pizza was coming out of the oven. In twenty minutes (another 20 minutes), I figured out that she meant it was going into the oven... The came out with four pizzas, tried to tell me that was all we ordered. She looked it up and they decided to go see if there was another pizza in the kitchen.... That's where they found our 5th pizza... I'm giving them 4 stars because the food was very good and all the hired help was friendly and tried to be helpful. We'll probably eat there again but we'll order in.. LOL read more

What a cute location! After some walking in the Garden of the Gods this popped up as a great pizza joint. I got the personal pizza with pepperoni, Shirley Temple and the breaded mushrooms. It was a 10-15 minute wait, but once we were seated, the food and drinks came out quickly. The only reason it lost a star is the seating wasn't fully secure in the booths, so any movement from the book behind us caused the backing to hit us.
