Not normally one to write a review but this is warranted. We live out of state, and just happened to find this gem. The Food was very good, especially if you love garlic! but what stood out more than anything is the service. The moment we walked in we were greeted with a warm smile and welcome from Isaac. He continued to be our server and did an excellent job. Toward the end of the meal, Joshua came over to check on us, and we were in the middle of a deeply emotional conversation regarding a tragedy that occurred just a few hours prior. He was completely unfazed and immediately asked if he could pray over us. As he bowed his head to pray, Isaac ran over and completed the loop, and offered his own prayers without even knowing why he was praying. Both of them then took their own time to sit with us and chat, even though the restaurant was closing, they never made us feel rushed or unimportant. It really was divine intervention that brought us there that night. The restaurant was no where close to our hotel. We are not religious people, but we felt the unbelievable love and support from true strangers that has made this a place we will always visit when we are in Colorado. We had a half supreme pizza and half southwest sausage pizza, which were both amazing. Personally I would like less garlic on the Southwest, but it was still amazing! Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed. Even if you don't like the food, the vibes in the place are awesome, and the people working there are even better. Came in hungry. Left in love. The meat calzone was massive, cheesy, and everything I didn't know I needed in my life. Then I made the very wise decision to get the cannoli and... holy cow. I'm in love. Like, already thinking about my next visit love. The worst pizza experience I've had in Colorado Springs. Supreme Pizza: Crust: The absolute worst crust I've had. The crust is super thin and is unable to support all the toppings and cheese on the pizza. There is no support of the crust and toppings and cheese fall right off. There is no crunch at all from the crust and every bite feels like there no crust at all. No texture, no support, no taste. Too many toppings to support this crust, I'd suggest thicker crust for a supreme or just take it off the menu. Lack of crispness in the crust is also a fault of lack of cook time. Cheese: Cheese blend is good and probably the highlight of the pizza. Sauce: Not overpowering but ended up not adding much. Toppings: Toppings are not cooked enough, the green pepper and onion both taste a bit raw. Cooking time was too short. The pizza was sloppy, wet, undercooked. I'd hope maybe the cheese pizza would work out better but it the crust would likely still not have any crisp. We ordered the Boba Feta but were given the Boom Stik. The Boom Stik weren't bad as there was copious amounts of cheese that made it great but the pickled jalapeños added too much of a tang that contrasted the rest of the dish. The oregano on top was burned and made it super bitter the bites it was on. You are unsure when you walk in if you go up to the counter to order, as there is a giant tablet facing out, or just sit down. Tables seem a little gross, a tad sticky. They also have the most tacky standard red and white picnic tablecloths on all the tables in the tiny dining area. Nothing is really worthwhile and I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Building is a warehouse where the front portion is being turned into a dine in service area. No sign that I saw to seat yourself so we stood there waiting to be sat. Young kid serving didn't greet us so I had to ask him if we seat ourselves or not. He told us yes so we sat down and I eventually had to get up to get our own menus. Sign up front stated that they are in the process of figuring out how to be a dine in restaurant so I'm good with cutting them some slack. Ordered the 6 wings which were decent. Sauce seemed to be just red hot mixed with butter and Italian seasoning sprinkled on top. 4 flyers and 2 walkers which was good since I like flyers better, good but not spectacular pretty much normal chicken wings. Ordered 16 inch supreme pizza and it was cooked really well. Didn't have uncooked toppings like others have complained about. Crust lightly crunchy with every bite and a nice chewy crust. Sauce lightly sweet and topping evenly distributed and not too heavy. Pizza I would say is very above average. Not sure if I would call it New York style as I think Dave would give this pizza nothing better than a 6.5. Ambiance of the place is a weird cyberpunk with pictures and tapestries of the genre hanging everywhere. I generally prefer a secular dining experience but you're not going to get that here. Loud christian rock with just enough bite so as not to offend the Virgin Mary played through out my meal. They have a dedicated tv rotating bible verses which would be convenient for religious types since Verizons signal is void up here. There is also a little kiosk with free bibles and a prayer box to let god know you liked the pizza. Overall decent pizza and wings but I could do without the religion being pushed on me. read more

The pizza is not impressive--quite subpar. There was hardly any sauce. The crust was dry. The cheese and topping were very average. Nothing stood out in the pizza. But the sides are quite good. The wings were meaty and juicy. The bread sticks were very good and garlic knots were good. The service was friendly. I'm not likely to go back because the pizza was just not impressive. There are many better options nearby. While good, it's not with going just for the sides. read more

Horrible! Garlic knots were completely burnt on the outside but not cooked at all on the inside; they were just inedible burnt raw dough with no flavor. Pizza was horrible, also; completely black (burnt) crust, no sauce, very little cheese and no flavor at all. We paid $40 for a meal that we couldn't eat- so disappointing. I've been driving by this restaurant for a while wanting to try it and tonight was the night. Now I regret not trying it sooner. I ordered two pizzas for carry out and they were ready and waiting when I arrived. I had to try a piece in the parking lot. Wow! I'm so excited to have this place close-ish! The pizza is VERY tasty! We got a pepperoni, and a margherita. The crust was perfect as were the other toppings. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next pizza from here. Don't waste your money here. This place is dirty and the food is terrible. The marinara tastes like burnt tomatoes and they microwave their noodles. Worst I've ever had! My order was supposed to take 30 minutes but took 50 and then they forgot my salad on top of that. The garlic knots had no "sauce" or cheese as described on the menu. They were simply plain, dry lumps of pizza dough. This place is seriously gross and very expensive. We threw all the food in the trash because it was that bad. read more

A generous helping of fettuccine, garlic knots and stuffed mushrooms. Everything was cooked perfect and the taste was just as good. We did take out but they offer dine in and delivery as well. So Wednesday night I needed to eat a hot dinner... But I was not feeling any type of vibes toward anything and was feeling very uninterested. I was driving around Northgate area, along all the restaurants in the strip malls, and I remembered that I had read a KRDO article about food safety and health inspections and Papa's Italian had passed with a perfect score. So I attempted to use their online ordering system and it was broken and not processing orders. I called ahead and had good service on the phone, and placed an order for Spicy Sicilian pasta (their only red sauce dish) with one garlic knot, it's accompanying side salad, and an order of Italian stuffed mushrooms. I was quoted 15 minutes, I gave it 20. It is in the same complex as the Dart Wars and there was quite a few people 20+ standing in the parking lot milling about, which is an interesting thing. (I can see how this safe parking lot would be very attractive to teenagers, it's a great milling place that where there's food and it's off of a main thoroughfare, this would be a safe outdoor space) I entered into the restaurant and it is humble, with only three patrons inside. Very stark. Clean. Yellow oak tables in contrast to a modern warehouse feel, with a very interesting mural. (If you like Cold War Russian inspired imagery) I remained neutral. Even though I had waited 20 minutes, my meal was not prepared. I then waited an additional 15 minutes. The young man at the register was appropriate, but when he delivered my food to me-- he literally just handed me the to-go boxes stacked, hot and greasy with no bag to hold them. I had to ask for a bag. No silverware or napkins were provided. I went home and the first thing I ate was the mushrooms. Yes, I know mushrooms weep quite a bit, but my black-to-go box with its assortment of-- I think eight mushrooms, was sitting in water. These were not large, in fact these were petite mushrooms. They were not stuffed and overflowing, they were a teaspoon filled. There was not overflowing cheese that was bubbling or melty or crisp edged. The chilled and bright red marinara dipping sauce was lovely, And I was hopeful that this would be the same sauce on my entree. This appetizer was very disappointing. Edible, but what a lost opportunity to make a great dish. I then moved on to my entree. Immediately I could see that it was a dark red robust sauce, not the fresh bright red marinara. I would say it was a medium sized portion, and I did note that the pasta was done perfectly, and that for Angel hair pasta it was beautiful separate noodles, Not a conglomerate mass. I did not care for the deep robust sauce, it did feel as though it had been on the stovetop for many many hours and had lost vibrancy. The three meatballs were golf ball sized and had shrunk with cooking, and they were soft and lovely. In the KRDO article the owner is correct when he says his best dish is the meatballs, they really are! The garlic knot was a great disappointment. Huge chunks of uncooked garlic made it so that I was unable to even eat half of that golf ball sized garlic knot. The salad looked fresh and was just a bag mix... But they had forgotten my salad dressing. My total for pasta and mushrooms was $27. I was displeased with the price point, the medium portion size, the poor execution of the small appetizer. You couple that with the teenagers that served me hot-greasy-to-go containers with no thought and it was a really poorly done presentation. That all being said, I can absolutely see myself picking up a meatball sub at some point in the future, because they are great meatballs and I do like a fresh red marinara sauce and I need food in the Northgate area. I really think the owner operator could zero in on a lot of these customer service / execution issues, and make this more elevated, if you're trying to hit that price point ---you need to deliver. -better to-go containers, provide utensils, napkins and all to-go containers need to be bagged and a receipt. Lost opportunity to include a to-go menu or promote delivery. -fix the online ordering system, Also missed opportunity to use digital marketing and digital coupons. -upsell featuring beverages Italian themed or desserts that could be taken with to-go orders. -clear out the hallway near the restrooms from the stacked storage items -The cottage goods presentation of home-baked bottled breads and jams etc is pokey and actually discredits the restaurant grade food you are trying to sell -You offer only the one spicy Sicilian deep robust sauce, a second option that might be more crowd-pleasing and definitely child pleasing- for pasta would probably go well. - revisit your garlic knots and tweak them. read more

I ordered online via the website and when I arrived at the time indicated, they scolded me for being over an hour late...meaning my food sat there for an hour ‍ I purchased garlic knots (would have been delicious if they weren't cold), a large supreme pizza, a small hawaiian pizza, an antipasto salad, and brownies. The salad was subpar - very little toppings and wilting lettuce....and they were out of Ranch! The pizza was decent- not $28 for a pizza good though. And the brownies were stale- tasted like they had been out for days. For a quick meal for the fam- it is a no go. Expensive and poor service! read more

Ours was a takeout order for a calzone and 16" pizza. It was ready when promised, the service was prompt but the food was a total loss. Both the calzone and the pizza ingredients were so sparse my wife commented the calzone was partially empty. I wish I could show a picture of the sausage, green pepper, onion and mushroom pizza. I use to really love this place and would choose it first over all of the pizza options around Northgate, but recently their service and food have been terrible. I ordered a half cheese, half ham and pineapple pizza over the phone. The girl who took my order could not understand the word "ham". She kept repeating, "can?" How does that make sense over ham? I was told 30 minutes over the phone. The pizza order was not ready after 50. When the pizza was finally done, it only had pineapple on it, no ham ‍. It took an hour for my order to be ready and I was never offered any compensation for all of the issues. It was stupid of me to come here at 5:15 on a Friday. Won't be back. read more
