Visiting from out of town felt like pizza so I tried papa bears. I went in and ordered i don't think I was there 20 minutes. Very friendly service very quick and the pizza out of this world good. Fresh ingredients and excellent taste. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. read more

This place is great because they only use clean ingredients. No seed oils! That is very rare so what a treat to have a place we can eat out at. The owner is so nice and helpful and the service has always been great. The pizza tastes great too, unique combos. Thankful they are in our area too. read more

Amazing pizza! Fresh ingredients and the service is friendly as well. I'm always looking for a no seed oil place and this place is great.

Spent the last night in Colorado with the pleasure to dine in at probably the best pizza spot in all of Colorado! Found Papa Bear through Yelp and saw the great reviews so I had to try it myself..and I was not disappointed!! Don't be fooled by the "emptyness" in the photo, this was a Sunday night and they were almost closing! The owner was nice enough to let us dine despite them almost closing for the night. I got a half margherita pizza and half olive. Pizza took about 25 minutes to come out which is totally normal for fresh pizza!! It was absolutely delicious!! You can seriously taste the freshness in the ingredients, the dough was absolutely perfect with the perfect crunch with every bite as well as baked to perfection. You can tell that this pizza is cooked in the correct old school style... We had the pleasure to meet the owner, Nicholas and he was a great person to chat with! He mentioned that he worked for Michelin star restaurants for a very long time and I can tell..his pizza is certainly the BEST! Overall, if I am ever in Colorado again...I would absolutely swing by this place again! Do yourself a favor and come try it! read more

You can't sit down and eat, not when we arrived there. It was really confusing and frustrating, actually. I was trying to talk to the person working the counter and it was so extremely difficult to talk to him/them. I don't know if was the owner, seem like it, and gosh -- can we just Q&A properly, normally, simply in that 1-2 sequence? It was such a hard conversation trying to understand what was going on with this place. It was a rough experience just walking in and starving we, of course, left. Also, update Google, your website, all they ways that NEW customers find you so that they understand they CAN'T eat here and you are ONLY doing takeout as there is certainly space and seating to eat it. A new customer would never know. I was disappointed, I really wanted to try their pizza. This was some months ago so I don't know if it's changed, but wow, it was really a nightmare when I tried to go here those months ago. read more

I was in the mood for pizza and decided to give Papa Bear Pizza a try. Called in the order and the owner said it would be ready at 7:30. Went in and rang the bell at 7:29 and was presented with a Boulder Pizza that was hot, fresh, and delicious. The owner had movies playing, which would have been the perfect combo if I was to dine in, but I had this order to go. Overall great place in a quiet little spot. read more

Second time goin to Papa Bear Pizza. Holy Wow! We picked up take out tonight. @papa bear pizza ... and I love you! Seriously incredible texture in the crust! Perfect balance in flavor. Wow! Are you kidding me, Pot Roast and Potato on Alaskan starter dough?! Bestpizza I have ever had!! The genuine care of the chef/owner, specially sourced ingredients and attention to every detail is unmatched on the front range, if not further. Cheers!! Update: 4/18/2024 This place is a real Gem! Unbelievably fresh and no compromises or corner cutting. Chef starts his sourdough prep 4:30am and sources top shelf ingredients from around the world! Get your order in early! read more

They've clean ingredients (no seed oils) that tastes good with some fun variety in types of pizza.

Pizza was definitely tasty! I value quality of ingredients and you can definitely tell this pizza has pure fresh ingredients. The cheese was my favorite part:) read more

We absolutely love getting pizzas from Papa Bear! We've never had a bad one, and love trying the Chef's Specials based on what's in season! It isn't a big chain and is locally owned, so know that when you order that they only make a certain amount of dough per day, so plan ahead. Additionally, usually there is only 1-2 people working in there, so don't wait and think you'll get a pizza in 20 minutes. We call ahead to schedule our pickup for later in the day, which helps them to plan. Really awesome people and so happy to have such a great pizza place close by in Monument! read more

Got take out. Cracked a tooth while eating the pizza. $1000 later... doubt if I will return.

A Local highlight! First timers who tried two pies for carry out. Outstanding but pricy - for two $58.73. One size, one type of fresh made crust on the thin side for us. Bright, welcoming inside location seats about 40 in downtown Monument. Call in order was ready on time for pick up. Will be back! read more

The best pizza in Colorado. They use quality ingredients that taste amazing and don't make you feel bad afterwards. Our favorite pies are baby doe and mt. massive. Love this place! read more

I know not everyone appreciates food quality and realizes you pay a little extra for it. However this is some great pizza. No leaving the crust at the end dip it olive oil to finish off the slice, great flavor. The Greek was fantastic flavor combination. They have several unique pies or build your own. The salad has great ingredients but have to come home and chop it all up as still in big pieces. Not recommended to dine in as very bare bones restaurant. Service is not overly friendly but efficient as pretty much just counter service. My go to for pizza pick up! read more

Great organic pizza with fresh ingredients. We had a 1/2 cheese, 1/2 mushroom and a mile hi Hawaiian. The mile high was so good! They use fresh pineapple. I also liked that the pizza was not greasy at all. A large pizza is not that large. So plan accordingly. The other thing to know is that you need to call ahead. Essentially if you know you want their pizza, you should call when they open and place your order for the time desired later on. I forgot to take pics! read more

Nicholas the owner was a very kind to our kids youth group and the pizza was good too!

I've ordered pizza from Papa Bear since they opened. Papa Bear is legit the best pizza that I have found in the area. It is pricey, and you do need to call early to get your order in but it is worth it. "The Leadville" by far the best pizza I've ever had- I was hesitant- sliced corned beef, homemade thousand island dressing, topped with sourkrout- doesn't sound good but it is!!! read more

Excellent pizza and salad .... all clean organic ingredients. Great husband and wife team who do an incredible job . Went above and beyond! and delivered our order right to our car. Because their kitchen is so small, they are only able to make limited quantities of the dough, therefore put your order in early, because they do run out quickly. Very delicious! read more

Unreal how good this pizza is! Totally worth planning ahead and paying more! We got the roasted garlic cheese bread, Mile High Hawaiian, and the Apple Crisp dessert. We loved every bite, with the exception of the ranch tasting like straight Mayo. But tbh this pizza doesn't even need it. read more

Wonderful and delicious food! Support local businesses. You will not be disappointed.

Best pizza in the Monument area! Always fresh, hot and delicious. So good we don't even mind that they don't deliver.

A slice of Italian heaven in Monument. Did you know the art of making Neapolitan pizza is included on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage? I certainly didn't. Papa Bear has brought this wonder to southern Colorado. Each pizza is made with the best authentic, fresh ingredients. You can tell the heart in each bite. We got the Twin Sisters and Hawaiian for 3 people, we had enough leftovers for another meal. Papa Bears markets themselves as to-go pizza. Just because it's meant as take out and there's Papa in the name, don't confuse it with the likes of Papa John's (nothing against them, makes great work meeting food). Papa BEAR is artisanal, therefore, expect to spend more than your average takeout. You can dine in, there's only counter service. The building stands out among the residential background. Although it's an old building, you could tell it was well taken care of, everything looked new. I'd describe the atmosphere as romantic casual (if that's a thing), pretty lights align the ceiling and the booths can provide an intimate setting. There's an outside patio that I can see myself chilling in during the summer time. It's also connected to an art gallery so you can admire some art as you wait for your pizza. There is a little wait, especially if you walk in and don't call ahead. There's a limited amount of dough each day and most of them are reserved few hours ahead. I highly recommend calling ahead to preorder. There's a small parking area in the front and plenty around the neighborhood. I will be definitely be back if I'm in this part of Colorado. read more

Incredibly delicious pizza and amazing service from the owner Nicholas, who served us and crafted our pizza! All fresh ingredients that perfectly paired with some delicious craft root beer. Will definitely return when I'm in the area for the pizza and great conversation with Nicholas who really knows his stuff and has a great personality! Thanks for the very full tummy! Ate it too fast to take a picture, but it was as beautiful as it was yummy. read more

The world of pizza you live in is not real! Wait ! Wait ! Wait ! Let me start from the beginning... if you are familiar with Monument Colorado, you will know that there is Not 1 Not 2 Not even 3 But over 4 different types of places you can grab a pizza !!! (To the best of knowledge) Not that it's a problem. (Just had to clarify) However, Papa bear pizza has been recommended to me Over and over and over and annoyingly over again... Not to fall victim to peer pressure but it is just my turn.. So I had to try it.. First impressions Customer service is huge. You can have the best pizza in Italy Best bourbon in Kentucky And the best burger in the country But if your a poo poo head(insert poop emoji here__) to your customers then I don't care I will take my business elsewhere. So with that said I watched the brilliance of customer service at its best!! A customer prior to me was expressing a misunderstanding and with more grace than a figure skating brown bear hand tossing fresh dough (that's at least what I saw) the owners gracefully defused the situation and sent the two upset individuals home with pizza in hand and smile on their face! Now my curiosity was peaked. .. Either this pizza was medical grade voodoo or this family owned business was that legit... At the will of the pizza family I forfeited my sneaky yelp identity and confessed I was there to do a review on their pizza per request and to give me what they thought I should try. (Of course I paid.. I don't work for food network I actually support small businesses) I was provided a 1/2 pueblo 1/2 rankin Kelly pizza All is made from scratch !! They source all their meats cheeses and vegetables from the best places they can find. And yes you can absolutely tell the difference! It was so dang good that I have given it 5 stars just for the pizza alone not even the customer service was accounted for in this rating. This place is a treasure waiting to be discovered here in little monument Colorado Note: I will forever accidentally drop their menus in random locations as I walk business to business just to spread the word. Stop in say hi to these amazing people and their beautiful family. Be sure to tell them I sent ya and ask for your free high five. Great pizza Great customer service And amazing people (who are truly locals) 5 stars for creativity, taste, and customer service ! read more

Delicious! Great service and pizza was made with the upmost care. Taste was superb! Recommend you try

Very good pizza. FRESH wonderful ingredients! Love the many selections and quality!!!!

This was a rare weekend indeed. We went to Papa Bear Pizza twice! First was the Cali-rado pizza. A pizza flooded with avocado! If you're a fan of all things avocado, you have to try this out. The avocado/cilantro sauce is an understatement. There are no less that 20 ingredients in this sauce and it's a must try. We also had a fail-safe Twin Sisters (which I consider a pepperoni pizza that goes to 11. Then we met another couple there and had a combo Mount Massive and BLT. I've never had the Mount Massive (meat lovers pizza) before. I expected it to be heavy and over-salted with all that meat. It wasn't! If you want a meat pizza, you have to try this one! read more

This a sweet mom and pop pizza place with specialty pies that you can tell are made with care and love. The crust tastes homemade. The topping ingredients are WONDERFUL. The only downside is I'd like to have more toppings for the price. I like toppings with every bite and I didn't always get that. The 1876 has a good smattering of toppings. Overall the pizzas are really good!! read more
