From the moment you walk in, the immersion is incredible. The outside is set up as Castle Byers, and then you walk through a short hallway designed to look like the middle school dance floor from Season 2. Right away, you know they put real thought into the details. Once you enter the main seating area, it gets even better. They had Chrissy on the ceiling from Season 4 (yes, that scene), the couch from the Byers' house, and the iconic alphabet wall with the Christmas lights. Our table even had a Pac-Man game built in that we could play while we waited--such a cool touch. The themed menu was great, with a whole lineup of Stranger Things-inspired drinks. I ordered the waffle sliders, which are tiny waffles with a burger inside, served with fries. They were absolutely delicious--perfectly sweet and savory at the same time. My son ordered the large TV-tray-style plate inspired by the show, complete with turkey and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, and more. Everything on his plate was genuinely delicious and comforting. Even though the Stranger Things pop-up is no longer available (they rotate themes--SpongeBob is currently up), I'm so glad we made the drive. The seating was very casual and nice. We got the 16" capraola. The toppings were good with the highlight being the sausage. The crust was definitely the highlight of the pizza. Crispy with no flop, and still an airy crust edge. The only negatives of the crust would be a little too much semolina and not enough salt in the dough. When you get to the crust edge there is barely any flavor and some extra salt could help. The chicken parmigiana was definitely the lowlight of the meal. The breading came off the chicken easily and wasn't crispy at all. The pasta wasn't salted enough and was too soft. The sauce was the worst part and it was overly sweet with not a lot else going on. Luckily the chicken had a ton of mozzarella on it which did save it a bit. The cannoli was also great. Large enough that you can easily share and fairly cheap at just $3. I love when a cannoli has the little chocolate chips in the cream, just wish there was a little bit more in the cream. Overall I will go back for some pizza and dessert but probably not for any of the other entrees.
