I've been to three escape room experiences and this was by far the best. The owner Jenn's…read moreenthusiasm, careful planning and clever setup make this room great. Not only does the room have a great theme with the emerald city, but the clues themselves are decipherable while still being challenging. I've been to escape rooms that don't make sense because you're trying to escape for a certain reason (zombies, to get to a spy etc) which is why I like that this is called Game of Clues. I also really like the hint cards--if you find one, you answer an icebreaker question with everyone else and Jenn will radio in a clue for you. What a great idea! I can't wait to go back and try the other rooms!

Next, we tried to call to inform them we were having troubles finding the entrance causing to be a few minutes late however they did not pick up (we were the first session of the day). While in the escape room, I will say it was incredibly toasty and I wish there were a couple more vents in the rooms themselves to provide some ventilation. Finally, without exposing the escape room, I felt all the puzzles were linear and so without the continued clues it would have been impossible to complete the room in the time limit given. I feel that if they wanted to do this room without any clues it would need to be a 2-3 hour room although the puzzles were well designed. Finally, there was no like end picture of us breaking out which would be a nice addition to the experience.

For some reason, the code did not work at all which was disappointing. I mentioned this to the person that greeted us and she said she would let her manager know. We weren't given that discount though. That's the only reason I give it a 4/5. We walked over to a lockers. We were instructed to put our phones and any other belongings in it. We were given a key for it to keep while we go into the escape room. We went over all the rules and then walked over to the room. One of the rooms we wanted was sold out, so we chose lock down. I must say the room was pretty difficult and a lot of fun. We finished with barely any time to spare. The screen shows you little hints along the way. We got our photo taken at the end. I did mention to the other woman that we would like to come back again, and if the code will work in the future. She said they will work on fixing it.

I have a channeling time on this one because I didn't directly pay the experience. I have escape…read morerooms before in the past that I thought were both easier and more creative. Also, the instructors previously were way more proactive with directions. That being said, I thought the concept was clever and there were some creative clues leveraged. Check in was easy enough and the instructor kindly offered to walk us through what we missed. I'll also add - it's in a mega complex with an arcade and laser tag. We ended up a few people short and they were great about comping us the extra value. Arcade games are standard fae but seemed to be well maintained. Prizes for the arcade are pretty much exactly what you'd see at a Dave & Buster's. Ultimately we had fun, but not sure I'd rush back

Puzzles were troublesome at times, but so fun! Lots of communicating through rooms needed at some points to speed up the process. Theres key locks, number locks, a fun book with a story. A couple jump scares occur too, which was super fun, especially cause I love scary stuff. There's one point with a hockey puck that had us laughing while we struggled. We were able to collect the eggs and successfully leave the room! The mechanical door at the end was super cool. Definitely recommend this room.

He was hooked on the claw machine with rubber ducks and made me play it over and over to win ducks. I successfully won 6 before we used all the credits. He wanted a purple and brown one and had a meltdown that I couldn't get them for him. The lady at the counter went in the back and got him 1 of each for free and saved the day. Then I went to grab a fountain soda and water. They gave them to me no charge. My son dropped the water immediately and it spilled everywhere. They instantly started preparing another and called for a mop. They were very kind and generous and it really made my night easier. Great people!

I personally like to play laser tag with the kids from time to time, and maybe play a videogame or so. The kids love to get the slushies, especially the large ones in the plastic robot. This is also a great place for parties. Although we have not taken part in their activity nights, they will do events, like a New Years party, etc... where participants have a pre-paid charge and can play as much as they like. This is a great place, certainly underrated, and must do if you like rides, tag, golf, junk food, and games.

A difficult start for us, would have helped if we looked a little closer at a couple things. One clue we didn't even see right away even after she told us where to look. The black light is a fun aspect that definitely requires teamwork! Lots of interesting puzzles, such as number locks, keys, codes. We got stuck several times. One step we got stuck on, probably from us pressing buttons too fast or something, so Allison had to play the audio over the speaker. There was one other object we had some issues with because we didn't rotate it enough before setting the correct locations for the item. She actually had to pause the time and come check it out to see why we weren't getting the next step unlocked. We had just enough time to stop the train! Overall, great room, great use of group work at times. We found it helpful to have a cell phone note app open to make a list of items at times, otherwise you're definitely yelling from room to room for multiple steps. Allison was definitely helpful making sure we got through successfully when we got too stumped on what to do. We all had a great time.

Terrible experience at Brighton Escape Room. Our host was rude from the start, likely because we…read morewere 10 minutes late but my group are perpetually tardy for just about everything and never before has this personally offended an escape room host. If you exceed the grace period they will start your game timer. That's fair but not even the case in this situation. Instead our host decided that she would assert her authority as an escape room nazi. Less than one minute in we were scolded for not paying attention to the video. It is apparently against their rules to look around the room and god forbid, don't touch anything before that video ends! That wasn't my experience the last 3 times at this location, but okay we just laughed it off. Later my daughter was yelled at for picking up candles. "Don't touch the candles, they are not part of the game!" Oh, no, someone vaped. Another scolding. This is going to be a long 45 minutes. When we asked for the first clue the response was, "You are not there yet." We had to ask again for some sort of guidance, please. Pretty please? I did not pay $170 to be yelled at and beg for clues. They ended the game with 1:30 left on the timer. We let ourselves out. When I asked the lady at the desk to please tell me the name of the host, I was immediately met with confrontation. "Is this about the vaping?" No, I respect that, this is about the host's poor attitude and complete lack of customer service. She still refused to give her name -actually said it's confidential but a good host introduces themselves to their guests, right? Now I'm told her rude behavior was justified because we started the game before watching the video when we were specifically told not to! I'm a bit taken aback by this response. Not only were my concerns completely dismissed but now I am being scolded again! By this time I've gone from annoyed to irritated. Long story short, the staff ruined what should have been a fun experience. The game was fun, challenging and well designed with interesting props but the Manager, Morgan and the host, Allison could benefit from basic customer service training. The lady who refused to give the name of the host was the manager and instead of acknowledging my concern, she accused us of wrong doing. It was bizarre. Don't waste your money here. There are plenty of other escape rooms, some with staff who actually enhance your experience and management that knows how to handle customer feedback professionally.
