#4 Tofu Wendale

Went here tonight for an early dinner. I've never had Bahn Mi before and was pleasantly surprised. It was very yummy! My partner got the #3 Chicken Lemongrass combo and I got the #4 tofu wendale combo and they were both great. We also got the special of the day, goyza which was good, I could've eaten so much more. My partner got the Cajun fries as a side (delish) and I got a salad (nothing special). The combos also came with canned sodas. The server was super knowledgeable and helpful when navigating the menu. We will definitely come back!

Such a perfect meal for a cold and rainy day touring IU's campus!!! My daughter is a huge fan of Pho but often can't find a vegetarian version. Rush Hour had SEVERAL options for her. The Pho was warm, comforting, and had a delicious flavor. Plenty of toppings and hot sauce made for an ideal lunch. We also shared veggie fried rice (yum) and a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. If she ends up at IU I see many meals here in our future!

Horrendous quality in 2024. Ordered the Pho and the soup was very obviously just watered down. The meatballs were actually frozen Italian meatballs from the store instead of the Vietnamese style ones you'd expected. Not even an exaggeration. They actually are. Beef was overcooked and were clumped in balls. The restaurant used to be alright before, but this is just sad now. I ordered doordash, but while I might expect less food or it being cold, the quality should at least be the same. Never ordering from this place again. Also they have severely reduced the amount of food you get. I'm not sure what changed, but dang.

A hidden gem! The pork banh mi w/ korean was so yummy and ordering at the counter & takeout was easy and fast.

The place was a lil hot but it was a very hot day outside so understandable. Plenty of seating where you order first and pay first, get a number and choose your table. I ordered the vermicelli noodle dish with egg rolls and a fried pork chop. We also got crab Rangoon and spring rolls. For me, the veggies didn't taste very fresh. I enjoyed the pickled veggies and the egg rolls. I think I was expecting more flavor in the pork and sauce. The spring rolls had bean sprouts in them which is not typical and changed the flavor profile a little bit. I'm a little particular as I just got back from Vietnam. It was way too hot for me to want to try a pho bowl but it's definitely on my list to come back when it's cooler. Love the noodle soup options and appreciate that they have such a full menu that offers Vietnamese, Chinese as well as Thai dishes.

I am so glad my friend took me here because now I am a big fan of King Wok. They have great Vietnamese food! The vibe does feel like a no frill restaurant, however that is where you usually find a gem- great, affordable food. I love pho of course, but I was in a mood for dry noodle instead. Mi Kho is my go-to noodle dish, but the gentleman who took our orders strongly suggested that I get "Mi Xao Thap Cam" instead. He knows more than me, and I am open to try something new. and it was wonderful. Big dish full of shrimp, chicken, beef and vegetable. I did not feel the need to add any sauce to it, it was served just perfectly. I think the prices are reasonable for the amount you get. So happy to have found this place. I cannot wait to back to try their pho next time.

The hot and sour soup was fresh and hot. Compared to others, the spice level is on the mild side. The soup was rich and filling. The Szechuan Shrimp was packed with large shrimp and lots of fresh broccoli and other vegetables. The portion was generous and deliciously filling. My husband had the Hunan with chicken. The generous portion of chicken was tender and the veggies fresh. During the week they offer a handful of lunch option specials at a great price. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall lot. I'll be coming back.

I love the blend of cilantro, carrots and jalapeños with the meatballs. The sauce is spicy sweet and the bread fresh and chewy. The sandwich is perfect. I wanted to try one of their mochi donuts or a smoothie, but I'm watching calories. I will be back a different day for an ubi mochi donut. Restrooms are clean and modern. Parking is easy in the large lot.

Not as many GI issues I've faced considering my baseline with pho. Which is saying A LOT. I got the summer rolls too and they were also so amazing. If you like seafood, get them. The pho I got was the house special one. All of it reasonably priced in this day and age.... Place was clean when I entered. No problem there. A couple of minor details why it's lost a star. Only person in there was the girl working there. I'm pretty sure my food order was the only one there at the moment (to go through their site). With that said, minor detail I wasn't a fan of was I came in and said my name, and she was like did you order xyz and I was like yeah but I wasn't absolutely sure because their ordering menu could use a small subtitle of the dishes instead of their Vietnamese name (when you click on it, it tells you what it is in English verbiage but would rather simplify it than click on each one). Other than that...peanut sauce could be a bigger ramekin and the pho things could come in a different container to make it easier to put into the broth without pouring the sprouts basil etc in with it....
