Cute little boutique featuring rustic/farmhouse/shabby chic home decor…read more I stopped in last week and thought the name of the store looked familiar to me. It was and for good reason- it's the sister store of a home decor shop in Tawas City that I remember shopping last summer. That store was super cute and kinda eclectic and so was this one. The store just opened in April and is very much like the shop up north. They mirror each other pretty well, from layout and service to selection and price point. Customer service was nice and attentive and the stock was ample, showcasing plenty of "farmhouse chic" type of decor- candles, vases, furniture, clocks, artwork, signage, etc, much of it in a rustic, upcycled motif. The prices are kinda on the high end for even simple items, but the furniture was pretty reasonably priced. Some of the pieces are pretty garden variety and nothing that unique or that you can't get at Target for much less, but other items (larger pieces) are rather interesting and worth a real look. Overall, a nice store with great service and a mid-range price point for the most part.

Price points range from very inexpensive (around $7 or less for decorative outlet/switch plate covers) to a few hundred bucks for some paintings. I like the eclectic nature of the merchandise and the fact that most of it is produced by local/Michigan artists. There's nothing cookie cutter about it. Plus, I like the idea of supporting local, independent businesses. The staff is usually pretty helpful when it comes to inquiries about pieces. I've seldom (occasionally, but not often) had to wait to receive an answer. It would be nice if they were open for more hours during the week, but since they are housed in the Flint Farmer's Market, they are only open when the market is.

When I asked the owner about it he showed zero signs of compassion or concern he only cares about his shop. My son who has a learning disability and emotionally impaired left 15 minutes after starting a game here from being harassed by one of the long time players here . I don't recommend anyone playing or shopping here. Especially after seeing how the owner is. He needs psychological help. Especially running a shop for kids. My son started walking home and this place is in a really rough neighborhood while carrying a couple thousand dollars of Pokemon collection in his backpack. Don't come here it's very very schweaty play and the owner has the personality of a card scalper

The staff replied: "We will have the boxes available." Based on that confirmation, I made the trip. When I arrived, I was told their shipment was still being unpacked, so I waited in the area. After everything was sorted, I was informed that NIKKE wasn't part of the shipment at all -- not delayed, not street-dated, simply not included, which directly contradicted the message they sent me earlier. I understand shipments can be incomplete. The issue was being told the product would be available during the event period and only finding out the opposite after waiting around. I'm leaving this review so other customers know to double-check availability before making the drive. (Screenshot of the store's confirmation included.)

Affordable art in the heart of Flint right across from my old alma mater?! Absolutely!…read more Located in the back cornerof the Flint Farmer's Market over by the AT Sweets Bakery in a permanent shop area is this petite but powerful art collective. When reading about them online, I thought the artwork was all done by one man, but it's not. It's curated by one man. The art is diverse, from sculptures to ink, to ceramic to jewelry and so much more. The pieces I bought were ceramic trinket holders and I picked up 3 for $20. That is insane. Three handmade pieces of art for $20. How can I not buy it? How can I not come back again and again?! It's the perfect place to grab a thoughtful gift without breaking the bank. This reminds me so much of the art for sale in Ferndale, but at a fraction of the price. It's an opportunity to make your home unique and quirky - on a budget. And let's be honest. That's most of us right now. I wish there was a card to tell about each artist next to their offerings. They told me a lady made the ceramics I bought as they wrapped them in bubble wrap and put them in a paper gift bag. I wish I would have asked more about her! I say "they" because two people worked in usison helping me and taking payment while talking about the art. I felt fawned upon and special. I felt truly excited when I gave the gift right in the little paper bag. It was excitedly and well received by my friend. Will I be back again? You bet! Every time I visit Michigan.
