I did not have high hopes as the brands they carried are similar to every other store I have been to. When I entered the store there were more sales reps than shoppers in the store and they were very welcoming without being pushy. The young woman that assisted me was the most considerate of reps and she knew her shoes. She measured my feet, asked a bunch of question, listened to my answers and said I'll go get some for you to try on. It was an interesting experience. She actually knew that shoes don't all fit the same from one supplier to the next and she knew that it might take several trips to the back for more shoes before she satisfied my slightly odd requirements. She just kept on helping me until we found the perfect shoes. Thanks to Emma who was so patient and knowledgeable. This place is awesome and the staff are all terrific. Give them a try!!

I had peaked at SportChek's online store earlier, and knew they carried the brand, and style of suit I wanted, but now it was time to get serious, and see if they had my size in stock. Success, they had the brand and style in my size, with a few colour options available, and at a good value price. I ended up ordering three suits. Heh, when you're like me and truly dislike shopping for clothes -- it's so difficult for me to find 'what' I want, 'when' I want it, and 'in' my size -- so catching what you can while the option presents itself, is a personal shopping motto of mine!! Shopping at their online store went quickly and smoothly. And their follow up's to my order, were timely, and informative. There was no charge for delivery, as I had purchased over the minimum required amount. My order shipped via Canada Post (from Calgary) -- SportChek notified me of this Monday, I received the parcel in my mail box here Wednesday. Also, they host a very affordable Tuesday night clinic. $2 for the hour, which covers the cost of planning and organizing a group run (plus insurance, i'm sure). They do a rotation of intervals, pyramids, and hills so you can work on different aspects of your running. They have different speed groups, all the way down to a run-walk group, so you can go really slow and don't feel like you have to keep up with the faster runners. If you are interested, they have a marathon and half-marathon clinic that gets you ready for the May races. I just signed up for these this season, and I am amazed that I can run as far as I can now, and that I don't hate running. They do their best to keep it interesting and enjoyable. Great store with great people. oh - they have good stuff too. love my shoes. They fit your shoes to your running style, so you can get the most from them. It has a very large selection of running shoes on the right side, and also stocks plenty of apparel, gels, and other run accessories. The staff are all long distance runners, The store also offers a variety of run clinics, ranging from walk to run to training for a full marathon. You can commit to 12 or 17 week clinics, or drop into a training session for $2. The sessions are set up for skill levels ranging from 10:30 min/mile up to 7:00 min/mile, which is great! While the store was busy, a staff member was quick to help me out. I had taken a picture of the size and model number of my previous pair of shoes, but I was open to changing shoe brands. From that original shoe model, he brought out 4 recommendations in my size that all cost a similar amount. He laced each pair of shoes up for me and suggested that I take the shoes for a short run outside, which was awesome! After years of running, I know what works and doesn't work for my foot, so I was very happy to find a great pair of shoes. Overall, the Runners' Den is a great local running store in Port Moody. Instead of ordering online, shop local and check them out!

I was acknowledged by four different staff, two who proactively asked if I needed assistance. One offered to look for my size and found it, even though I did not have high hopes as it was a shoe on the back wall. I saw other customers being treated similarly. The staff at the cash was also very friendly. Discarded shoes and items were immediately tidied so the store was kept neat. Worth coming here.

Like in the past, Kentaro is personable, friendly, extremely helpful, and knowledgeable. He works so hard on his own and he is an asset to The Running Room. As long as Kentaro is working at the Running Room, I will continue to buy my runners from him. I hope the company recognizes his hard work, his talent, and his dedication to his job so one day he will be made the store manager. We are lucky to have Kentaro who is so knowledgeable with his products. I refuse buying at Sport Chek or any of these mall stores with runners because 99% of the staff has no knowledge of the runners and can;t provide a proper and appropriate fittings especially for problematic feet.

Being a discounted running shoe store first and foremost I did find some pronation-control products in my size on sale too but they're old , i mean like couple seasons old already . Believe it or not running shoes do have a shelf life as materials degrade over time even if unworn and just don't provide the same support as they used to when new .
