    Ruben panini.

This place should be ashamed of the Ruben sandwich they make. The young woman behind the counter was very nice and kept her cool when a long line formed and she was the only one behind the counter to do anything. Three super thin slices of pastrami....You literally can't even taste any pastrami over the buttered bread and sauerkraut. I understand prices of food have gone up, but for a $16 price tag, it really should have been more meat and meat all the way to the edges of the bread too. That panini was very, very sad. I would be embarrassed to serve that to a customer.

Stopped by this bakery with a friend over the summer for a quick drink and treat. Nice location, large, clean restaurant with plenty of seating. Overall, it was ok. The menu has a lot to offer, and the staff are incredibly nice. We shared a chocolate chip cookie, my friend got a latte, and I got a pumpkin spice iced chai. The cookie was yummy and my friend enjoyed her latte. Unfortunately, the chai was so, so bad I didn't even drink it and dumped most of it. It tasted mostly like syrup, and you honestly couldn't even tell it was supposed to be chai. A bit disappointing, but maybe this spot is just better at coffee based drinks.

I passed by this bakery and had to try it. I'm so glad I didn't keep walking! I bought a scone and some type of a croissant muffin with cinnamon sugar. wow! Both were amazing! The scone was really crisp on the outside and very soft on the inside with great blueberry flavor. The croissant muffin was outrageous, really buttery and flaky with lots of cinnamon sugar. Crispy on the outside and airy like a pop over on the inside. So tasty! I'm actually still dreaming about those! I will have to cross the bridge and stop by this weekend! The woman behind the counter is so fast and efficient! Really nice also. The menu is really enticing, and I can't wait to try some of their sandwiches. They look really delicious.

I always love stopping here! I've been coming here for years during my bike rides through this town. I've always loved Runcible Spoon! The food is always fresh and the service is consistent and positive. I'll definitely be back again soon!

After having a really good experience ordering a cake from them for my cousin's birthday, I decided to go with them again for my son's birthday. José really went above and beyond my expectations and we couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. The cake, cookies and cupcakes we're not only delicious and fresh but beautiful too. I got so many compliments on all.

As a cyclist i'm a big fan of "the spoon" as cyclists call it. It's a great spot in Nyack on training rides where you can relax and have a cup of coffee, eat some lunch, and chat away with other bikers on the bikes parked out front with the provided bike racks. A huge plus. Great service, fresh muffins and croissants. It's great that they offer sandwiches and wraps at half portions. Perfect for a training ride so that you are not overstuffed. I always go for the brie, turkey, cranberry wrap, a arnold palmer, and if in season a pumpkin apple crumb muffin. Moist on the inside and a crunchy top. Definitely taste the pumpkin and spices. Feels like Autumn when i bite into one. The croissants are fluffy and flakey with the layering that a croissnat should have. It's great as well that they offer containers of water outside as well for us to refill our bike bottles. It's a great local neighborhood spot as well as i see many locals stop by in the morning for breakfast, baked, goods and coffee. They serve up full breakfasts as well as my friend had a omelette and potato fries. It looked great and cooked superb. I'm going to order this next time i'm there.

Blueberry muffin. Where are the blueberries?

Meh. Very underwhelming. 1130 in the morning on a Sunday, and they're running out of things. Biscuits and scones are rock hard. Staff looked like they didn't want to be there Very cold environment. Removed artwork that used to be there. Need music or something to make it more inviting. Picture of blueberry muffin says it all. One bloody blueberry in it Two stars are for the cinnamon rolls only. They're that good..

The dishes that this team puts together in that kitchen are absolutely magical and filled with flavor. I discovered them a few years ago when I had a craving for fresh homemade pasta. The pasta is made fresh daily and also sold by the pound for take home meals. I don't get the pleasure of dining in often because it's always packed when I visit but this time there was a lonely table waiting for me. The restaurant is small and intimate. Casual but perfect for a date night or solo dining. In the summertime they have picnic tables outside to dine at as well. The focaccia bread is made in house daily and is served warm with a drizzle of good olive oil and flakey salt. Don't ever skip out on the bread!! The cucumber salad was inspiring. The cucumbers were served on a bed of hazelnut fava bean hummus??? Excuse me? My mouth is still watering from looking at the photos. It was so fresh and tangy. The pasta dish was warm, filling and cozy. It settled in all the right places and makes you feel warm and fuzzy. The chocolate chip cookies are also a must!! I'm not sure if they use cake flour or something because the cookies are crunchy on the edges but think and chewy once warmed up. They are not skimping on the chocolate inside either! Overall my meal was perfect, I cannot wait to dine here again to taste the love and magic that goes into each dish. PS- the menu is mostly seasonal so try what you can before the menu changes!

Scott & Joe is coined "the gayest cheese shop in America" & while I haven't surveyed all of the other cheese shops in America, I agree. It's a quaint little shop tucked amongst other small shops on Broadway. Scott is behind the fully stocked cheese case serving & SERVING with a smile. He was patient while we perused the case & asked questions. We sampled some cheeses to figure out what we like & what we didn't & ended up leaving with some yummy treats. Scott & Joe also have a little bit of a marketplace with delicious options of cured meats, crackers, jams, jellies, mustards & the like: perfect for any dinner party or snack plate. In my opinion, the best part is a not so secret little bistro section in the back where you can have a seat & be served some of the most delicious sandwiches, salads, & cheeseboards in the Hudson Valley. I got the Ciao Bella this time around, but it was hard to choose because I wanted them all! Everything was so fresh & delicious - I can't wait to return! Scott & Joe also hold various events regularly, so I recommend following them on Instagram to stay in the loop.

My husband and I came to dinner recently. It is housed in a large space (that used to be some kind of burger joint), with a semi-open kitchen, a full bar and lots of tables. For appetizer we asked for their chili cauliflower. For my dairy-intolerant vegetarian diet, the waitress patiently explained the ingredients of all the options, and we chose Mushroom Hara pyaaz and Martban ke Choley, a chickpea stew that came in a mysterious clay pot :-). The cauliflower was crispy batter fried, dowsed in a tangy sweet and sour and spicy sauce, truly tasty! The mushroom hara pyaaz was the champion of the meal - all familiar flavors yet unique and memorable - comfort and satisfaction rolled in one. The chickpeas were less well-cooked, a bit more al dente, than the usual Indian fare that we have been exposed to, but still very nice. The waiting staff were very friendly and attentive, and the bill was quite reasonable. We'll definitely come back.
