Basically mini crab cake balls, deep fried and served with a side of the house cajun ranch. It was a great size for sharing, but I could have easily put down 2 orders of these. They were moist inside, perfectly fried, and the ranch had a nice flavor without being too hot. For my main I ordered their Maine Lobster Roll. Fresh cold lobster mixed with mayo and celery salt and comes with a lemon wedge on the side. I've had some really good rolls while visiting New England and this roll stood up to the others. Generous lobster portions, and the perfect ratio of mayo without making the sandwich soggy. It was delicious and hit my craving. At the Port, the outdoor seating is where it's at. A fully enclosed patio, fans, and a full service bar. Inside, they have a fully stocked beer wall with loads of beers on tap to try. The down sides here are that it is in a residential neighborhood with on street parking. Get ready to drive around looking for a spot and be prepared to walk. The Port is currently rated a 9.1 on my Beli and is worth a stop whether you're looking for some good beer or delicious pub food.

It is a bar, not a pub, and certainly has no right to call themselves a restaurant. I have been to many, many true pubs and this is nothing even close. It is a low tier bar, at best. The "restaurant" is a drab room with square tables, no table cloths, the room has no decorations or environment. It is drab and blasé, just like their grossly overpriced poor quality food. The Manheim Diner a few miles North serves MUCH better food tan here and it is a third of the price. I have actually had far better hot food from vending machines in bus and train terminals. I ordered the crab stuffed haddock and my wife ordered the 12-oz. ribeye steak. We asked for rolls with my French onion soup while we waited for our entrees. We decided the soup had to be made in fifteen minutes as it tasted poorly, onions were hard and NOT caramelized at all and there was no bread whatsoever under the cheese. Our requested rolls was not forthcoming until after our dinners were half eaten. The "rolls" were actually a small piece of halved hoagie roll which came to the table charred, hard as a rock and fully burnt on the entire bottom. We could not eat them as they were so hard and burnt. And, they charged $3.99 for that ! I requested the crab-stuffed haddock only have the light lemon butter sauce with no added salt, pepper, Old Bay, oregano, etc. it came to the table overcooked, dry, hard and tasteless. The "stuffed crab" was the same and had portions burnt on the bottom. My wife's "12-oz. ribeye" was more like eight ounces, tough as leather, appeared to us to have been hard beaten with a tenderizing mallet and almost unable to be cut with a steak knife. It was hard to chew and had little taste. We seriously doubt it was a ribeye as it was as tough as a flank steak and was most likely a cooked frozen piece of meat. The entire dinner cost almost $100.00. It was worth, at most, $30.00. We dine out a lot and enjoy good food. This was definitely NOT good food. It was not even mediocre. It was just poorly prepared low tier bar food. Save your money and go get hot food from train station vending machines. It will taste better and be appropriately priced.

It was surprisingly delicious and full of actual lumps of crab meat. For my main I did the surf and turf. Filet with lobster tail. My tail was overcooked and rubbery. My friends was cooked to perfection. Maybe I was just unlucky. My steak was a little more done than preferred but it was tender and had good flavor. You could choose one side and I got mashed potatoes and gravy. They tasted like instant potatoes and canned gravy. It was the biggest disappointment of the meal. The service was ok, our waitress was somewhat attentive to us. The atmosphere was very casual even for a special evening. I was hoping to see a little more effort put into table centerpieces or general decorations.

The steaks were okay -- they seemed tough and mine, for medium seemed slightly over cooked with hardly any pink inside and what there was was very light pinkish / brown color. Jenni said her steak was done to her satisfaction -- medium well. I would say mine was probably also medium well. My steak had a lot of fat and gristle that I didn't eat. The mashed potatoes were amazing. My asparagus seemed stingy in size and number of stalks and added little taste or filling to my plate. Jenni said her green beans were okay. The iced tea was great. My Pepsi didn't taste flavorful though Alyssa said she checked the soda bags and they were full. I swapped for sweetened ice tea. Alyssa was a super friendly server who checked on us regularly. We want to patronize local businesses but we probably wouldn't get our meals again and would try something else. Jenni said she'd rate our experience as a 2.5 which is exactly what I'd give so we're going to round up since maybe our experience was just a little off this evening.

I had a brisket sandwich, wife had a really immense chicken salad. My son had a ruben sandwich and I can't remember what my daughter had. However, all the food was really great and I really did enjoy myself. After lunch my daughter took me to the Rusty Rail store and I bought a nice T-shirt. If you do buy a T-shirt, I want to say, while the shirts are great, wash up nice and feel really comfortable, make sure you buy an upsized shirt. Normally I take a large but I decided on an XL and I am glad I did because after washing the XL fits perfectly. And I got to speak with (I think either the manager or owner) about the music they were playing. They were playing songs from my favorite singer, Bob Seger. I have every Bob Seger song he ever published on either, CD, Cassette Tape (yeah, still got one that works), or vinyl record. Told him he needs to check out the Bob Seger song Little Victories. I actually have a vinyl record with just that song. It is the large 78 version. That was a rare find and I actually found that in Germany in the mid 80's. The song says a lot. Anyway, after speaking with the man, my daughter said I could pick out and mix my own six pack of beer. Let me tell you, Rusty Rail makes some really, really fantastic beer. I would have to say my two faovrites are Wolf King, a stout with coffee & oatmeal and the other is Fool's Gold, Peanut Butter Hefeweizen. Oh my God, those two are absolutely great beers. I should be living in Mifflinburg because I would be making a weekly stop at the Rusty Rail. And for all you ex-military people, the Rusty Rail does give a discount to military. I hope my kids take me to the Rusty Rail again next year. Oh, in case I did not say it. The kids took mom and dad to the Rusty Rail and the Wild Animal Sanctuary as a gift for our birthday's and Mother's Day and Father's Day. It just so happens my wife was born on Mother's Day and I was born the day after Father's Day. The atmosphere of the Rusty Rail is great, it is simply a real nice place to socialize. And as a compliment to the Rusty Rail, I want to add this. When I go out to eat, one of the first things I do is use the restroom. Why? To see how clean the restrooms are. If a venu's restrooms are dirty, find another place because if they can't keep the restrooms clean, then they don't care about your food much either. The restrooms at the Rust Rail were immaculately clean. JUST TO BE CLEAR, THE RESTROOMS AT THE RUSTY RAIL ARE IMMACULATELY CLEAN. Thank You Rusty Rail for a wonderful time with my family.

They also have a wonderful beer selection. I tried the blueberry beer, which was very tasty with a smooth blueberry finish that really stood out. The naan itself worked well as a base for the hummus, although the hummus was neither smooth nor flavorful. There was no fragrance from the chickpeas, and it tasted rather unseasoned. The selection of peppers, carrots, and cucumbers was decent. *Garlic Butter Mussels: their monthly mussel dish. The mussels were cooked well and coated in a one dimensional sauce. The sweet wine was cooked down with lots of garlic, while the butter was subtle. I wished there had been a bit more toasted baguette to balance the one pound of seafood. Note there is a 3% credit card surcharge. I could not find this listed on their menu and but I saw the charge on my receipt. I enjoyed the few beers I had, and the food was acceptable for a bar.
