IT WAS ALL FANTASTIC AND ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Mouthwatering tender and flavorful. We also opted with Baghali Polo and Lubia Polo instead of the plain basmati rice, which was so yummy too. We also ordered the beef ghormasabzi. Probably the best I've had in a long time. Everything tasted homemade and worth every penny. So happy that this place is located in Corona and that we don't have to go to OC to have quality Persian food. Decided to give thos place a try, we've been craving Mediterranean food. Walked in was greeted with friendly staff. Got seated, the brought us some warm lavash bread and butter. So delicious. I ordered a bakhtiari (half chicken and half filet mignon) with basmati rice. My husband ordered lamb koobideh. We also had two side orders of beef koobideh. I've eaten here many years before. I don't recall much about the experience other than it wasn't really worth driving out for. Not from around here. Since I was in town and looking for a place to eat I randomly pulled into this plaza driving around looking for something and recognized the name. My favorite kind of food is Mediterranean food, specifically Persian, Iranian, Armenian style kebabs. Most of the kebabs in the Inland Empire are Arabic style, Kafta Kebabs. They tend to be Lebanese restaurants. You would have to look for Persian restaurants to get the kind of kabobs called Koobideh. They are similar but the seasoning is different. I've driven to Orange county, Glendale, Arcadia, to go to my favorite spots. I wanted to like this place because it's a little bit closer than the one that is my current favorite, in Rancho Cucamonga. Unfortunately, this was not one of my favorite examples of Persian style. First of all, the reception wasn't very warm. It might have been because it was past 8:00 p.m. but that's still 45 minutes to closing. They don't have garlic sauce but I suppose that's not a required thing. If you look at the pictures of the dine-in plates they include onions and what looks like parsley. My plate only had the two skewers of beef, half a tomato, and a bed of rice. There was a bag of bread with no butter and that's pretty much it for close to $20. Other restaurants would at least have a small side of Persian salad or Tabouleh depending on the restaurant. Sometimes you'll get a grilled pepper. I can live without those extra sides really. However the beef was overdone and dry. The rice was pretty good but that's pretty standard. Maybe it would have been better to dine in at this place. But other restaurants are able to pull off delicious to go plates that aren't too far off from their dine-in quality. It's like there wasn't minced onion included in the ground beef which is usually what makes the kebabs juicy at other spots. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place would otherwise be a good sit-down restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Perhaps their other dishes are better. But the typical signature dish would have to be the ground beef. If a restaurant can't get the most common dish right, why would you think they would excel in any of the other ones? I hope they improve. I would really like good options in different areas of the IE if I'm in town. read more

What can I say about this place. We were craving Iranian cuisine and randomly came across this gem. We went with low expectations as we have had very mixed experiences with a lot of Iranian restaurants... some turn out great and some leave us underwhelmed .. any how when we came we took the staff's recommendations.. we ordered their noodle soup and boi oh boi it was soo good.. warmth in a bowl. Followed by the main course .. we ordered their soltani platter, mixed plate koobedeh and salmon platter ... the barq in soltani was soft juicy and so well prepared coz normally it tends to get dry or chewy.. so we had chosen medium ... and it was amazing.. I chose their salmon platter as i was contemplating on white fish but i went as per staff recommendation.. even their mix koobedeh was delicious... it consists of one skewer of chicken and one beef.. not only is their food delicious their portions are very decent .. so much flavors .. we had no room for dessert so we skipped it .. My wife and I tried Rumi's Restaurant for the first time tonight and we are so happy we did! We ordered via DoorDash, but my wife had an errand to run in the area and opted to swing by and pick it up. Our order was packaged perfectly and everything was delicious! We ordered the Chicken Breast Shish Kabob, Adas Polo (my absolute favorite Persian dish), and Hummus. The char on the chicken and veggies was so flavorful and the chicken that came with the Adas Polo was so tender and juicy. We will definitely be back for takeout and dine-in! This place is so incredible I could literally eat there everyday. I cook a lot at home and do pretty well but I couldn't do anything as close to these dishes. The hummus starter was excellent. We also had the eggplant baba ghanoush that I typically never eat. This time it looked so good because it had crispy thin sliced onion rings with roasted garlic on top. Oh my, it was the best. The show stopper, however, was the juicy chicken. That is the name of the dish. So incredibly good. This is what I could eat every single day. I want to try a salad next time. This place is a joke... spent $65 for this? Two packets of sumac and this salad that costed me $4 MORE bc I asked for the shiraz salad instead of the regular one.. Good Persian food but customer service is a hit and miss. They have an excellent selection of options, including vegetarian. Prices are average and portions satisfy a single person. The lavash and basmati rice needs love. Every time I've had the tahdig, it tastes old. They also need to use better sumac. Khoresht is what Persians are known for so that's what you need to order. The fesenjon is my favorite. It's not too sweet and not too tangy, it's perfect. The gormeh sabzi is good but bland. My family ordered and enjoyed the lamb shank, chicken fesenjoon, and koobideh sandwich. The meat as tender and flavorful. read more

If you're in the mood for some great Persian food, and live around the Corona area, Rumi's is worth a try. It's situated next to Betty Faye's restaurant, if you're not looking you might not see it as it's on the south side. There's both indoor and covered patio seating area, but on this weekend where we saw triple digit temps we were more than happy to dine indoors. We were greeted and seated promptly, it was a HOT this week and Labor Day weekend so luckily it wasn't busy. 4 of us ordered the beef koobideh and our son ordered the salmon. For appetizers we ordered their hummus and the burnt rice with a pomegranate sauce over it. The flat bread that accompanies the appetizers made eating the dishes easier to handle and shove in your mouth. Everything is made to order, so with 4 orders of the koobideh it took us around 10 minutes to get our dishes brought to our table which was fine with me as it gave us time to eat up the appetizers. Really enjoyed the beef koobideh, perfectly seasoned and with a healthy sprinkle of sumac over the meat and rice just enhanced the meal. Short story, we were visiting the Mission Inn Christmas lights festival park, and we were looking for a place to have a date dinner night. We found a couple Italian places nearby, however, I was not impressed by the menus, nor prices for the quantity of food. We start looking for places a bit further and out of the area; we found Rumi's Restaurant. It's absolutely worth the drive. The food was amazing and absolutely fresh. The flavors were balanced and they complement each other. We got the small hen with bones and it comes with a side of your choice of rice and some chard veggies. We ordered the yellow rice with dates and herbs. The prices were reasonable and were just happy with about everything we ordered. Our server was polite and friendly. Also, they still do the welcoming butter and bread tradition which I was very happy to see. The bread was warm and yummy. For drinks we got the mint yogurt drink (Ayran) and it was really tasty. The atmosphere was quiet. It's family and friends friendly to have celebratory dinner or take your love one for a nice dinner night. Door said opens at 11am, yelp says they open at 11:30am but I waited outside with an employee until 11:45am when I had to leave and use the restroom across the plaza at DDs. The customer service was non existent. He overcharged me and tried to apologize after he was not kind or friendly while I placed my order. I just left the cash on the table and walked out with my food because he was extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming. It was also really expensive for what you get; we ordered 3 salads, two with chicken and one with filet mignon that totaled about $52. It was a very unfortunate experience that I had to share with my family that I was visiting out there so they know that this is not a business we should support.
