Menu is Greek food with good selection of entree and apps. We got the chicken plate, lamb plate, spinach fatyr, rice pudding, and ice cream to share. I had high expectations of this place considering that they had great reviews. There's plenty of parking in the structure or nearby and the restaurant is easy to locate, right across from Starbucks. Service was very friendly and restaurant inside is small but it seems like most of the people get their orders to go like I did. I really wanted to love this place, everything seemed super fresh but the chicken shawarma was very gristly that I was barely able to eat it. Met up with several friends to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant is small, but it was nice and very clean. After everyone arrived, we all, one by one, ordered from the counter. Staffs were friendly and helpful. After we all ordered, we sat around chatting away, while we waited for our foods. Foods came out fairly quick. I got the Beef Kebab (Grilled Filet Mignon). Had an absolutely "Dvine" time here last night with friends to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant was so helpful and accommodating for our large group! I've had this place bookmarked for almost a decade, but the Brea location--so I'm stoked to see it expanding into other areas and close to home! Everything was insanely delicious! The chicken and beef both had no flavor and was fatty/gristly. It looked like the boiled meat they give you at cheap Mexican taco spots. Even the rice didn't look right I took 4 bites and threw it away. What a waste of money. The pita bread is so thick and bready too. I don't know why the hell this place has so many good reviews, but never in my life had I had "schwarma" that looked or tasted like this. In my opinion stay away, go elsewhere. Prices went up and Quality went way down. I've been coming here for a number of years. When I first started coming, the chicken shawarma was amazing, and I had plenty of leftovers. I just visited today. 1) the hummus was gross. I'm throwing it away. A Mediterranean place that can't make hummus is a no-go. It tasted like it had been sitting out. 2) the pita was harder than usual. Maybe day old? 3) the portions were smaller. It was some small chunks of chicken layered over rice instead of a scoop of rice and a scoop of chicken. 4) the "Mediterranean" salad was all green bell peppers with one sliver of tomato and two slivers of onion. (Think part of a thin slice). Instead of a meal I relished and enjoyed for leftovers, I had a small portion and am throwing the rest out. I'm not sure if I received leftover food, because I called and sat out front thinking it would be 10-15 minutes to make. I saw a worker sweeping outside, and came in less than 10 minutes later and it was sitting on the counter, with no one else around. Usually, I wait while my food is prepared fresh. I used to come in at least 4 times a month. Not sure if the guys working there are still the owners, or if they sold it, but the quality went way down, it increased in price almost 50% over the last handful of years, and it's definitely not worth it. Edit: I'm not sure how to reply so I'll post an edit. If it's under the same ownership, then hello! I used to come in all the time. I'm sorry but the quality and portions are not the same. If they were, I wouldn't have mentioned the price. Prices have gone up everywhere. But when the food quality goes down, and the price goes up, that is my qualm. If I take you up on your offer to try it again, and I have a better experience, I'll update my review. But for now, I'm sticking to what I said. I think it'd be better to instead of immediately respond, to try to figure out what went wrong at your store that one of your loyal customers would feel this way. I ordered the Lamb Kebab Wrap and seasoned fries when I came here. The lamb was super tender and so full of flavor. Other places where I've had lamb usually cooked it to the point where it would be tough to crew and would take forever to chew it to the point where you could swallow it. Not here, the lamb felt like it was melting in my mouth and did not take a lot of chewing to enjoy the food. I've never been too fond of the tahini sauce so next time I come here, I'll probably opt for a plate instead where I can get the sauce on the side. read more

You definitely tell the food is made FRESH when you are served and everything is still steaming vs them packing you a bowl and being on your way. Very flavorful with every bite. Love the different options and the opportunity to pick your own sides. The cucumber salad is my personal favorite. The service was very fast and nice when I took a minute to see what I want instead of feeling rushed to order. The restaurant itself is very small with a few tables but there is outdoor seating as well. In a very nice location amongst other restaurants in the plaza. Definitely will be coming back. (The chicken was a bit dry but nothing some sauce didn't fix. I usually go for take-out, and I recently ordered the Choose 2 meat plate which came with Chicken Shawarma, Beef Kebab, with the choice of two Cold Mezza I selected Beet Salad and Turshi. Both the Chicken Shawarma and beef kebab were so tender and not overcooked. What I enjoyed most was the Beet Salad which was really fresh and flavorful. The only downside was the Turshi which was a little saltier than I prefer, but still good nonetheless. Overall, I highly recommend D'vine Express for anyone who enjoys Mediterranean cuisine.
