The one big negative for me is they have the store's phone connected to the speakers playing music. Music plays at a moderate level, but the ringer volume is really amped up, and they don't answer it right away. Hearing that gives me the urge to abandon my cart and leave the store. Also, don't shop on a Wednesday evening, not that many do. They have many of the prices removed as this is the day they are changing prices.

I mean, who needs a personal chef when you have fried catfish sizzling away right before your eyes? After I've made my seafood sacrifices to the food gods, I waddle over to the prepared foods section, where those buttery mashed potatoes and green beans await. I swear, those mashed potatoes came from someones grandma versus the store kitchen. Oh, and the prices? They're so good I almost feel guilty! It's like finding money in my winter coat pockets (compared to Indy). I leave feeling like I've hit the grocery jackpot! I can't help but visit them over and over when I'm on the road. It's practically a ritual at this point! And don't even get me started on the stuff I couldn't find in Indy (Marsh closed). There isn't anything fancy about this place. It's old, but kept clean. This store had a nice big parking lot, a roomy store, and carried all the usual things you have come to expect at a Jewel. God help you if there are other customers in front of you...settle in. 2) Re-stock is awful. Aisles are constantly packed with boxes/carts/dollies/etc but you can be sure if it's on sale this week, it won't be in stock. 3) Constant "errors" on receipt. Always in the store's favor. Likely a chain-wide issue being their "_#_ items minimum" or maximums are microscopic or not printed at all in the first place. What is the point of "must buy 2, limit 2"??? Do you want to sell them or not? 4) Other sale items that require purchasing 4 or 5 of an item. I don't have an army to feed. What am I supposed to do with 4000 gallons of Coke? It's not a staple! 5) Price increases far beyond inflationary number. Still $6+ on most of the eggs they sell. 6) Why do I still shop here when they seem to be trying to convince me not to?? The last experience we had here however last night (9-25) is the icing on the cake for why we will not be back here though. We were missing sour cream and my husband shows me as soon as he takes the lid off, disgusting spoiled cream. Beware that almost all the good reviews on their page are about the restaurant in the back or the meat department rather than their actual produce or refrigerated items. Their fruits are usually over ripe. One day we went in and the door to their cooler where some of their drinks were was broken and did not fully close therefore nothing was staying cold at all in their anymore. Workers suck.
