Aldi has stepped up so much in recent years. I'm so glad for the new self checkout lanes. There's always a section for limited time offerings. My favorite things here are ingredients for charcuterie, fresh veggies and canned cat & dog food. My kids love the Choceur milk chocolate bar with almonds - Hershey's who? Their choceur brand is completely top notch! This location gets busy and I wish it was a bit cleaner but overall it's a good location. read more

I'm a long-term Aldi shopper in Lansing, MI, Ithaca, NY and Chicago Northside. I usually get good customer service from the floor staff and cashiers. Today's experience was not good. After standing behind a professional shopper with a huge checkout, when it was my turn, the shipper was still stacking the cart in front of the register, blocking my stepping up. The cashier, Marlene, barked at me to step up. When I said to her there was someone in the way, she frowned as if I had done something wrong. I remarked that she was being very rude and poor customer service. She ignored me. I asked her name and she responded it was in the receipt and turned away I frequently shop there and also at Meijer across the street. My choice of store is based on quality, price and good service. Huge line at check out. Only one cashier. Not standing in line for 30+ minutes to save 80 cents. Went to Meijer where they have fast self check out lanes instead. Do t waste you life here to save a few cents per item. read more

Just visited our neighborhood Aldi where cashier Susan thought it best to totally disrespect myself and my husband as loyal customers. We rang for help at least five to seven times at self checkout only to have Susan look over, take a breath, roll her eyes, and continue to ignore us. Thinking this can't be real my husband said "excuse me", and Susan replied loudly "what...what do you need?". Shocked by her tone my husband responded "you don't need to talk to my like that. I was just asking you to take this off (holding up the item)". Susan responded " I didn't talk to you like anything". To that we both responded "yes, you did", then in the midst of us responding Susan threw her hand up and twirled it , which in my experience usually means whatever. That's when we both went over to ask her name because she wasn't wearing a name tag. Susan then suggested we talk to her manager. We agreed because clearly she did not want to help us at all as paying customers. Finally, manager Jasmine came over to listen to our complaint. Then, meekly said "I'll talk to her." The entire experience lead us to know that we needed to do more then simply talk to an in store manager. While we can understand the plight of frustrated employees, we cannot understand or tolerate disrespect in any form when we are being nothing but respectful. Aldi please ensure that Susan or any other employee whom has ever gotten your stores a poor review does better. Thank you read more

I normally don't shop for groceries at Aldi but I think I may be coming here just a little more frequently. All of the grocery products at Aldi have been replaced with Organic foods. You would think that because of this upgrade that the prices would go up right?, nope! The prices are still very low and reasonable. All produce is very fresh and well stocked. Aldi does not only have groceries but they also sell household items and baby needs. Be sure to have a quarter handy when visiting as you need it to get yourself a cart. Also if ylu do not have shopping bags with you be prepared to pay for bags at the register. 10cents for plastic and 6cents for paper. Happy shopping! read more

The Aldi store in Merrillville IN has items out of stock for days. I have my groceries delivered by Instacart because I am on oxygen and can't shop for myself anymore so I can't see what items on my list are out of stock. When my shopper starts shopping we keep in contact. Three days ago I had an order and the store was out of 5 of my items. I am addicted to the Sundae Junior pops because I really like them and they haven't had them for three days. You can't get ahold of anyone to find out if they are going to keep carrying this product or not. If not I will find an other store to start shopping at. They were out of orange juice, lemons, the frozen chicken in the box, cranberry grape juice, and my popsicles. This store also has really bad produce most of the time and products that are moldy, rotten, or spoiled. Instacart will always refund me for items but the store needs to check their products. They also carry to much organic and foreign brand foods that I have never heard of. I have shopped at the Aldi stores since the early 1980's and have always been very pleased with them, but this store needs to be checked into. Thank you for letting me vent. read more

I find this store has some of the most amazing people working there! Always helpful and with a smile. The blonde lady in produce needs to take some notes from her co workers, because she is short tempered and is quite rude! I avoid her as much as I possibly can! I have found myself shopping here more and my big chain grocery stores less often. Thank you very much for always making me feel like I'm your priority when I need help with something! I had my purchase figured down to the penny, I said I thought Indiana didn't charge for food. She said it doesn't charge for food and walked away from her register not telling me that Indiana charges for candy if you are not on food stamps. I did not know this, since I recently got off of food stamps. I have never had a cashier be so rude in my life. Never will I go there again!!!!!!! read more
