WOW. WOW. WOW. ¡VAMOS!…read more I signed up for the 10:30 AM spin class at BEAT Training this morning through the MINDBODY app. I'm not a member and didn't have a pass, but the process was incredibly easy and seamless--I was booked in just a few clicks. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's a predominantly Latina studio, and while I only speak a little Spanish, they were so kind and helpful getting me checked in and settled. Instantly made me feel comfortable. The studio itself was clean, well-organized, and full of positive energy. Everyone was friendly--and then the class started. All I can say is... WOW. Hands down, one of the best spin classes I've ever taken, and I've taken a lot. The instructor (I believe her name was Andrea) was absolutely incredible. She never sat down once during the full 60-minute class. The room was packed--every single bike filled--and the energy was electric. This studio is truly a no-judgment zone. Everyone looked amazing, and as I always say: if you've got it, flaunt it... and if you don't, flaunt it anyway. The vibe was empowering, inclusive, and motivating. The music was high-energy, the workout was intense, and I SWEAT. I walked out feeling accomplished and energized--honestly one of the best workouts I've had in a long time. If you're in the Orlando area, this place is absolutely worth the drive. Five stars for friendliness, cleanliness, energy, and far exceeding my expectations. I'll definitely be back.

The classes I've been to have been super upbeat and the instructors are blasting and dancing to Latin music and you really do get a good workout here. I gave 4/5 stars because while I do think you get a good workout both classes I've been to have been pretty similar and there isn't much differentiation in the workouts. I have also found that the staff is not as welcoming here as I have experienced in other gyms around Orlando.

What I love about this YMCA location is that there is ample equipment and I am able to get a productive workout complete. So far all machines that I have used are in great working condition. Other members too are able to get their workout done with ease unlike other locations where people are on their phone, taking up the machines and not actually using them efficiently. I have gone early morning around 7 AM and I have also gone in the evenings around 7/8 PM. I have not taken any classes yet, but will soon explore some. My only one complaint is that I have unable to use the sauna due to it being out of order. Hopefully, they're able to repair it soon. I have also heard and read in other reviews that it is frequently being repaired. Hopefully that gets resolved soon.

First, I do want to say the staff were absolutely lovely. We arrived before everything was already set up, and they let my two young children help with scattering some of the eggs beforehand, which was a really kind and memorable touch. They were also great about sharing information on other programs, including a YMCA date night service where parents can drop off their kids while they enjoy dinner and a movie, which honestly sounds like something we might try in the future. The setup itself was a classic "scatter and go" format, with plastic eggs spread across a field and kids released at the same time. While exciting, it always makes things pretty chaotic, and our two-year-old ended up with candy like hard Jolly Ranchers and gum, which aren't really appropriate for toddlers and felt like a bit of a miss given the age range advertised for the section we were told to participate in. For future events, it would be great if the eggs in the under-3 section were filled only with toddler-appropriate items to help avoid potential choking hazards and make the experience more enjoyable, and less stressful, for parents of little ones. The bigger issue, though, was the "golden egg" system. The idea is great, special eggs with prizes inside, but in practice it created some awkward dynamics. We saw families staking out golden eggs ahead of time, including one instance where a parent encouraged their child to literally sit with their hand on an egg before the event started. I'm not here to judge anyone, but it did take away from the fairness and fun of the hunt. A simple fix would be to go more "Willy Wonka" style next time, hide the golden prize as a surprise inside regular eggs rather than making them visible targets. That would keep the excitement while making things feel a lot more equitable for all kids. Overall, a fun event with great staff and good energy, but a few thoughtful tweaks could make it much more enjoyable and inclusive for everyone.

CLASSES: I really enjoy going for the classes, especially Zumba with Daphnee. She is one of their best and most popular Zumba instructors at this gym. Thankfully, the room can fit a lot of people and has an elevated platform so you can see the instructor. There is a separate spin room on the second floor past the sea of treadmills, ellipticals, and stairclimbers. (LA Fitness has an app that you can see the class times and instructors.) EQUIPMENT: I've always been able to use the equipment that I need to, even if I have had to wait a little for someone to finish up with it. AMENITIES: The locker rooms are nice and always kept clean by the staff. One thing to note is that there is no pool, like the photos seem to imply. Overall, I continue to come back here for the classes. I'd recommend checking out this LA Fitness location if it's convenient for you.

KNOW YOUR RIGHT TO RESCIND YOUR CONTRACT WITHIN 3 BUSINESS DAYS…read more Heed the warnings from all the other negative comments, this gym is extremely sketchy. If you are unfamiliar, there are two different types of membership - Basic which is cheaper but only allows you to work from your home location, and Classic which is more expensive but allows you to work out at LA Fitness nationwide I went to the front desk after a $20 day pass (they told me free trials don't exist, which I'm now seeing was an outright lie) to sign up. I asked the staff member to "sign me up for the Basic membership." He clearly understood I was asking for the Basic membership, because he asked me if I was sure I only wanted to work out at this location. When I said yes, he started to process the transaction and the subtotal didn't seem correct. I reiterated that I wanted the Basic contract which does not have an initiation fee. He "corrected" his mistake and had me sign the paperwork. After returning home I was checking my emails and was notified I was signed up for a Classic membership that did not have an initiation fee. Sneaky! Know that you have a 3 business day time limit to rescind your membership contract and get a total refund, and it's easy to do online.

As a member who pays dues in addition to a "Maintenance Fee," I would hope that there would be routine maintenance on the equipment, but I can't help but notice that slightly dirty TRX bands have been replaced and walls have been painted while all 4 rowers remain barely usable. (A good number of the ellipticals also have issues, but there are enough ellipticals that you can always find one in working condition. The rowers, however, are limited.) Instead of rowers, we have a rower graveyard. The one usable rower now has a ripped foot strap. For months, the other rowers have had issues. The second rower's seat pops off the track. The third one has a chain that slips. And the last one has a very heavy, squeaky chain. These all seem like things that could be easy fixes, but here we are.
