So far this location has been pretty good. I want to give a special shoutout to Dej at the kiddie gym. She is amazing with kids, introduced herself and interacted with my child right away. Unlike other employees I've seen & experienced in this area, constantly on their phones (while taking care of multiple children) which is a major RED flag in my books... Dej was actively watching and playing with the kids. She deserves a raise, and perhaps to be the head of that department. The women's area is spacious and versatile, I do wish there would be more cleaning when it comes to the floors since they tend to be a bit dusty. The equipment up there doesn't get as much love (some are out of order) but hopefully that will be taken care of soon! I like the women's only area & exec locker room b/c not crowded & I can leave my scrubs for work. I do not care for the fact that female staff members use that bathroom frequently so every time you have to wait b/c there is one bathroom , it's always (100%) for a staff member & they are never holding cleaning supplies so they are just using it as their private bathroom. This gym showed me firsthand how prejudice, microaggressions, and passive-aggressive racism are alive and well in their staff culture. I was treated like a threat for simply walking in to work out -- something I've done for over 2 years without a single issue. Suddenly, I was being questioned, challenged, and hit with the line: "This is private property" -- as if I was loitering or trespassing. Not once did I refuse to comply with whatever policy they were now trying to enforce. What I didn't tolerate was the tone, the disrespect, and the way the situation was being mishandled -- when the discrepancy was clearly on their end. When I calmly explained that nothing about how I checked in had changed, the employee -- Jamie -- chose to escalate. I tried to step away and speak to someone else, only for him to insert himself again. That behavior wasn't just unprofessional -- it was controlling, antagonistic, and unnecessary. He ended up calling the manager, Leanne, at my request. I was hoping for someone who could actually de-escalate the situation, but instead, I got more of the same. She minimized my experience, defended her employee without asking a single clarifying question, and showed zero interest in understanding what actually happened. That's not just bad customer service -- it's a complete lack of awareness and basic respect. If you're a Black woman, or frankly anyone who expects to be treated with fairness and dignity, you deserve to know what you're walking into. This wasn't just about one bad interaction -- it's about the culture: the dismissiveness, the subtle aggression, the coded language, and the clear discomfort when someone like me speaks up instead of staying silent. Also? The equipment is outdated. The AC doesn't work. The space is overstimulating, cluttered, and chaotic. Save your time, energy, and dignity -- and go somewhere with better standards. I had a very unpleasant experience today at CF Fitness - Dr. Phillips, Orlando. I was with two friends and, after finishing our workout, we decided to try the hydromassage room for the first time. Since it was our first time, we didn't know a code was required to enter, so we asked an employee. While we were trying to figure out how it worked, a man approached who also wanted to use the machine. We explained to him that we were just going to the front desk to get the code and that we had arrived first. Still, the man went to the front desk to complain with a rude and threatening attitude, saying we shouldn't be there. When we got to the front desk, an employee named Leeana scolded us in a disrespectful manner and didn't even allow us to explain what had happened. It was rude and completely unfair treatment. I felt mistreated and discriminated against. I decided to cancel my membership immediately. Not only because of the customer's behavior, but because of the lack of professionalism from the staff, who made assumptions without hearing our side and showed no impartiality. They should also provide better guidance to new members about how to use the facilities. Very disappointed. I do not recommend this place. read more

I'm a former weightlifter and trying to get back into my routine. I went to several different gyms (Zoo, Planet Fitness, YMCA) and none of them compare to this place. I have been a member for the past six months and it is one of the best decisions I ever made. The sheer amount of equipment they have is insane! Huge variety for whatever kind of work out you're looking for. There are 4-5 different lifting circuits, a huge area for free weights, three cable pulley machines, one room dedicated to bench presses, a room with punching bags, a room for deadlifting, and a room filled with cages (pictured), and so much more. At the center they have a huge area for cardio machines with 15 TVs in front of you and a movie that changes daily. They offer personal training and classes. Also LADIES, there is a LADIES ONLY floor. I don't use it much but it is really nice to have that option. Womens locker room is always kept super clean. I have never seen it dirty. Pricing-wise, I believe my boyfriend and I got a good rate because we signed up during a special offer. We pay $55/month for the two of us. This gym is a 15 minute drive from my house but it is ALWAYS worth the drive. I wish I could add more pictures but I want to be respectful of people during their workouts. Do yourself a favor and go to LA Fitness, this place had shady practices on allowing you to cancel memberships. When you go in to do so, the front worker will tell you only a manager can cancel a memberships, BUT they are never available. I went in to cancel my membership and was told a manager was not available, to which I responded I had all the time to wait. After 30 minutes, a girl came and typed something into the computer and said I would be billed only one more month. Then this month (March) I get a collection for 250.12 . This accouunt was cancelled on 10/29/24 the day the fire trucks were there in the gym. This shady practice is something they do over and over. I love "Fitness CF"! As a Dr. Phillips local & gym-member, these are my thoughts on this establishment... This gym right here is my favorite compared to any other gym I've ever been a member to, within a 5 mile radius during the past like 15 years... ((which would be YMCA, the OTs & the couple "LA Fitness'" in the area (all different reasons but main factors I considered: price changes too much & people there aren't my vibe& parking is too busy for me& its not as convenient & not as perfect as Fitness CF) lol Personally it feels like a local-favorite kind of vibe at this public gym! I've seen this gym change throughout the years and it just got better and better! Amenities: Cardio Machines are up to date, there's the Functional training area, punching bags, plenty of different work out classes and dance cardio classes, a private women area with weights, bars & some machines, clean bathrooms, sauna, weight rooms, cycling‍ which is all needed when you need to switch up from the daily routine, and need more variety of training! Speaking of training.... The Personal Trainer Manager, AJ, is one of the best people that work for this gym & a top tier trainer I know there! He's like Google on the gym floor if you spot him...if you have any questions concerning tips & tricks for working out and/or need guidance in training for all types of major sports, he's the Strength & Conditioning guy to talk to! ‍‍‍ Thank you to everyone at Fitness CF for being so awesome yall not only make sure that this gym stays top-notch in the immediate area, but also to the Health &Fitness Industry! We wanted a place to workout while on vacation. We called around, and me and the wife ended up getting a one week membership for 90 bucks, total. There may be cheaper gyms, but 40 to 45 bucks, per week, per person, seems to be about the going rate. The facilities at Fitness CF are outstanding. They have everything from Atlantis (exercise equipment) to Zumba (classes). There's no human in the world who couldn't get a great workout at this place. The ONLY thing that I noticed that MIGHT be a liability for some people (dudes...big dudes) is that the dumbbells only go up to 110 lbs. The machines and the weights are in good shape, showing, maybe, a little wear and tear. Unless you're a total Rogue-Snob, you'll be satisfied. As per my wife, the exercise classes were fun and challenging. Not that I'm a CrossFit guy, but they did have a large and pretty well equipped area devoted to CrossFit stuff. The clientele? Plenty of steroids and plenty of silicone, baby!! (And no, I'm not one of those guys who thinks that anybody who is bigger than me must be on the juice...but...I know it when I see it.). There's plenty of that, but there's all kinds of bods. No reason to be intimidated. Bad reviews? If you notice, most of the bad reviews have to do with billing problems that took place when the facility changed hands. Nobody is really complaining about the equipment. Decided to post since I've been coming here since November of 2014. What can I say... I love coming to the gym! At first when I signed up for Gold's Gym I was intimidated by the name, but it's all about fitness people! With that being said, as soon as I toured the place I knew it was meant for everybody and anybody. I love coming here because of the machines they have. They have a lot of machines for any muscle you are targeting. Of course, they are ample on many machines but there are favorable ones like the chest flies, calf raises and quad extender are limited. Maybe we can get more of this? There is a facility fee that I believe should be a lesser amount. Why? Because I don't see much improvement. Regardless from Gold's Gym or Fitness CF, I don't see much improvement. Yes the lockers are nice now but the door at the hydro massage is still busted so anyone can walk in and the machine itself still does not work. Idk... I guess the machines are nice but I don't see where my facility improvement fee goes. The staff at the counter are nice, well some of them. The trainers, one or two you can tell have a passion for training while quite of them are in it for the money, and don't really care for the trainee. I LOVE this gym. I've been going here for a few months since I moved to Orlando and transferred from their Clermont location. The staff here is phenomenal, the amenities are great, and of course the fact that they have childcare for just a few additional dollars a month is my favorite part. I do not like working out around people so it's nice they have a women's only area. I recently got a personal training session with Maria who was absolutely wonderful and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to fitness. She will push you to your limits without overdoing it and you will certainly feel the burn in your workout. Brian, Nicole, Maria and the rest of the staff are remarkable and the gym is very fortunate to have such a great staff! read more

They will lie to get you to join and tell you how easy it is to cancel if you ever decide to and/or move away. Read their reviews on Google before joining or visiting them. They have all kinds of annual fees on top of monthly membership dues. They will say come in and speak to us. Then they will say, "call this number which is for our financial people" which doesn't work. Then they will say come in (waste more time) and speak to this manager because we don't have a "secure line" is what I was told and some male manager will give you an email. If you email you won't get a response for a few months after sending three emails. Then they will say they aren't with company and they quit. Their official email for the company (fitnesscforlando@gmail.com) doesn't send any responses either. What kind of idiotic company does that? If you want to cancel this gym membership you have to speak to your financial institution and mention fraudulent charges are being billed and let them know that the gym isn't honest, legitimate or responding to your many attempts to cancel your membership. Try posting and messaging through Facebook and you won't get a response for a few weeks and then they will promise to resolve it and never respond. Try posting and messaging through Twitter and you won't get a response. Try messaging through Instagram and they will ask "which email did you use?" Cancelling a gym membership should not be this difficult. Take a clue from 24-Hour Fitness and others. You can't hide and pass the buck like a bunch of pathetic idiots trying to prevent a person from cancelling so you make an extra $30/month. If the ownership changed or they brought in a manager that knew how to properly run a gym then it might be worth it. These people actually have a gym they posted on Twitter about that nobody downloads, and they wasted money on removing carpet and putting down idiotic, butt, ugly, brown rubber matting in places that didn't need it and putting in new CCTV cameras all over so some voyeurs can sit in their office and watch people move about the gym. I would give this place a zero if I could. You go in and they tell you that you are not under a contract and you can cancel at any time, which is a lie. I hope people would actually look into businesses reviews. Before they get themselves compromised. I wanted to cancel my membership right after they started letting people into gyms around the pandemic and they told me I had to pay $200 to cancel and their annual fees I could swear they charged me it twice in a year. As a recent UCF graduate I was hesitant to sign up after all the terrible reviews I read about unprofessional staff and dirty equipment but I recently moved closer to this area and it's the closest gym. I don't normally even write reviews but this experience was awful. My first red flag was there are no real pictures or reviews. This company uses STOCK pile pictures to promote the gym. The people advertised on their social media DONT EVEN GO TO THIS GYM. After coming to sign up I can confirm this place is a dump. Starting from the management all the way down to the state of this facility. I met a young lady who introduced herself as the manager. Immediately I noticed she was acting as if my boyfriend and I were bothering her when I was inquiring about the gym. She was extremely hostile and aggressive for no apparent reason. We all have bad days but it doesn't give you the right to be rude. I will not sign up nor will I ever step foot into this dingy gym again. Also having read some of the reviews on both Google and Yelp.. a lot of these 5 star reviews are fake. It seems as if every time someone has a bad experience several "5" reviews pop up to offset this place. The operations manager has implemented a policy that discriminates against men. She restricts clothes that men can wear because she doesn't want their backs or pecs exposed. Meanwhile women are free to wear sports bras freely throughout the gym (and most do). She claims that she doesn't want to see a man's nipple, however I'm not sure how a Y back tank top shows a man's nipple... what's interesting is that this is a gym full of young people in extraordinary shape. I'm not sure why she wants people to cover up. They are there to grow their bodies and be proud of them (both men and women). The sign above is posted in the men's locker room telling men to cover up. When speaking to the staff at the gym they have stated that she is difficult to work with, has an aversion to men and myopic. This policy seems to body shame men who are into working their physiques very hard. This is a double standard and she's imposing her personal views on members. I would caution anyone from joining this gym. Neither a man or woman should be body shamed and we should be proud of our bodies and not be taught to cover up especially at the gym. In addition, with today's environment of staph infections at gyms, this gym uses recycled towels that people use over and over again wiping down equipment. All that is doing is transferring sweat and possible staph infection from one bench to another. When the operations manager was questioned about this she blew it off. Her response is you can use a paper towel instead. She just doesn't get it. Using the same towel over and over again just spreads the dirt and possible infections. For the woman who are allowed to wear sports bras to this gym, be careful letting your back touch the benches...bring your own towel and lay it down. read more

When I joined cf fitness I signed a contract after being a explained Verbally it was just month to month. Unfortunately I signed without reading. This was an Error I admit was stupid. I was living in an apt after selling my house in Orlando. Long Story short. I bought a house in Ocala am in the process of moving. Tried to cancel my contract but cf fitness would not take my word. Charged me 100 dollars to cancel before my year. Zo the manager I would not say helpful.I'm moving on Thursday I packed all my paper work for mortgage and it is 90 minutes away. why can't they take a persons word? I cancelled 24 hour fitness due to closures and covid then joined la fitness cancelled because I moved to Mt. Dora . it was simple I sent an email cancelled. since I had no proof I couldn't receive 50 dollar discount. I tried to show signed documents on my phone of home purchase. Then realized it had personal information. I don't have time to go back and forth with proof. The place is nice, don't get me wrong. The 3 stars is primarily because it's just such an awkward layout, which makes it ALWAYS feel so crowded. The location feels more like it was meant to be an actual building for sales or something, not for gym equipment. Everything is super crowded and almost feels thrown together. There are rooms and more rooms, all sectioned off, and the free weight area even feels cramped which is really weird to me. This used to be a Gold's Gym. Gold's didn't even let anyone know that they were closing when they did it. It was so bizarre. I was on my way to the gym and I noticed that the sign was gone and the words had been noticeably ripped from the building. Still, I saw people inside so I walked in to see what was up. Maybe they were re-doing it? Walking up to the door, the first thing you saw was this 'CF Fitness' sign. Now, I've lived in Florida for like 4 years now, and had never heard of CF Fitness in my whole life. So I was confused to say the least. When I got up to the desk I overheard the guy in front of me ask, 'so this isn't Gold's anymore?' - and the lady replied that no, it's CF now. He was extremely pissed off. He was paying for "Gold's Gym" (which is ridiculously overpriced and we all know it) and was getting "CF Fitness" instead. It wasn't a hassle, what so ever, actually the keycards still worked and everything but you were just meant to get a new one for CF Fitness. It was seamless and the staff was great. BUT having said that - it's worth noting that when CF took over, they didn't make any changes. Literally. Zero changes. The place still looks exactly like Gold's. Same exact equipment. Same exact everything. So to the people who got all pissed off, huffy and puffy over it..... it's silly and brandy as hell. It's the same damn place. There is no better example than this to show that people quite literally pay for the name. In my mind this place is still Gold's. I bounce around from LA Fitness, Planet, Gold's, Anytime, and CF Fitness centers. I go to whichever is most convenient for me and I don't choose the gym based on the name - but based on the functionality of the environment, the equipment, how clean it is, and how busy it is. That being said - this CF Fitness is just a little crowded for me. I have yet to find a good time of the day/night where it isn't overly crowded. I think it would do well to knock down a couple walls and extend it just a tad. There's just too much to fit into this one building, with it's awkward modeling, and way too many people who want to work out there to accommodate all that. But - they will have every single machine you want, I promise you that. You might just have to wait in line for it. read more

If you're looking for a decent 24-hour gym, this is a good one. Their memberships are reasonably priced and they have the newest, up-to-date equipment and they keep up with the cleanliness as well as they can given the amount of people that are always there. They used to be a Golds Gym, but I'd say their staff and philosophy improved since they switched. Everyone there has always been helpful and even though I've never had a personal trainer since my free trial ( I just couldn't afford the extra service), their staff is very open to giving me pointers/suggestions when needed. If you're looking for one and Kevin is still there, go with him! My only complaints are that they lost their cardio-theater and their website extensions aren't the greatest. Just do yourself a favor and don't go to this gym. I regret greatly that I let myself ignore my first impression which was dealing with a very pushy and very rude salesperson. I was hooked by the price and by the classes offered so I decided to go for it anyway. If you never need anything from the gym, will never have any issues, and don't plan to cancel until the day you die, this gym is perfectly fine. However, if you expect to be able to cancel with ease, feel valued as a member, or not be lied to, which unfortunately I expected all of these things, you're going to need to find somewhere else. read more

I've been a member here on and off (I moved away from Orlando for a period of time) since 2013. When I signed up, it was Gold's Gym and now I just refer to it as "Not Gold's". The name change kinda happened overnight, it was pretty strange, but I guess they didn't want to pay Gold's licensing fees. The gym is large and they have a good amount of equipment. However, they have way too many members. And a good portion of these members don't even come here to work out, they just stand around talking. You walk in and are 'greeted' very unenthusiastically by about 4-5 employees who basically stand around doing nothing. (Years ago it was about 1-2 employees who actually seemed to like their jobs). The woman's locker room attendant legitimately stands around in there talking and is almost never seen doing her job. A ton of the members can't be bothered to clean their sweat off machines or rerack their weights, so you find dumbbells all over the gym or smith machines with multiple 45lb plates on them about 5 feet high. The typical daytime staff is never seen cleaning up the gym, however if you come at 11pm, the night shift seems to be on their game. Overall, I was very disappointed and hated coming here between the messy atmosphere and the people. I finally decided it was time to cut ties with this gym and I have been much happier. read more

Females beware- I did email the owner to express concern with the gym environment, primarily because my girlfriend had her keys taken mid set from a trainer who wanted to use the equipment she was using, and was dismissed by the other staff member she reported this odd behavior to. She was then months later followed from the gym by a male patron and didn't feel comfortable saying anything to staff on duty because of the attitude of staff in prior interactions. When communicating this respectfully to the owner in effort to help rectify the situation and provide some feedback from a guest perspective on the staffs unapproachability and potential safety risk, he started his email reply with "I don't know who I am addressing this email to because I don't know if it is coming from Catherine when it sounds like Catherine's boyfriend." I was really trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but how unprofessional, bizarre, and not female or LGBT friendly that the owner assumes immediately that it's a boyfriend on his girlfriend's account instead of *gasp* a woman and another woman. I left Anytime Fitness since CF was cheaper but I guess you get what you pay for and I couldn't be happier to return to Anytime. read more
