Great gym. But a complete SCAM! I purchased a one year membership, I think I might have renewed it once (maybe twice)... then after my pre-paid membership was complete, I never went back. And for whatever reason, now my wife and my membership is in COLLECTIONS!!! Please explain to me why your business feels the need to send a prior paying customer to collections for something they never used!!! This is bullshit! Now my credit score is impacted and I have to pay over $1,200 for something I never used!!! You guys suck! read more

Shady business practices. We specifically paid for a more expensive membership so there was no ties and no contracts. My wife then signed up for a private time with a personal trainer, o my to find herself tied to a contract because of the private sessions. This is absurd and we are filing a better business bureau complaint. The manager Rene did not act in good faith when enrolled her into a contract without her knowledge, knowing that we did not want to be tied to a anual contract. Stop payments are in place and we will report these practices to the attorney general and the main corporate headquarters. It's no secret exercise is not my favorite. The only exercise experience I ever enjoyed was Orangetheory, but unfortunately during 2020 and 2021 with reduced classes and other restrictions it became almost impossible for me to get in to the classes that fit my schedule. Weight was gained and I was not feeling my best. I thought "How can I continue to sustain my taco addiction without being offered a reality show about becoming morbidly obese in record time?" The answer was find a gym that was 1) affordable and and 2) open when I need it to be. Anytime fitness has checked both of the boxes for me! Love the open 24 hours schedule and this location is beautiful. Lots of equipment and space to get your workout in. Plenty of sanitizing stations that are stocked and easy to access. Friendly staff during staffed hours. I am now an exercise person again and excited to continue to on my journey to become stronger and more comfortable in my taco body. read more

It's a very nice, well maintained gym with a good training staff but it's super expensive and labels itself as a premier gym so if you are a member at a different AF you are persona non-grata. There are other gyms in the area, including a smaller AF in Winter Garden that isn't nearly expensive with a great staff and I didn't feel like a leper because I was not one of their members. I can't wait for Hamlin to open up so I can join their location. It's like the only gym in the Windermere area. I signed up with high hopes but it is a small gym and I've tried numerous times to get a feel for when it's low crowd but no matter what time I came in, I would find it's full. Past midnight and every other time. Most of the time it would be teenagers and hanging out at 1 am and hogging machines, dumbbells and squat racks. One of the nights the group was talking amongst themselves in the corner and moved to a different area so I walked up to a rack and one of them ran over and was like we're using that. I was like ok let me know when you're done and I moved to a different part in the weight bench area and the same kid was like I'm using that too with my supersets. I got frustrated and left. I tried again and same thing. Teens. I just stopped going here and made the 30 minute drive to the next gym. Tried to come here for the mornings and it was 10x worse. I liked the staff but it's unfortunate what happens here. read more

I've been going since 2015 and these guys are the best. I fee comfortable and welcomed. The cleanest gym I've ever been to, from the bathrooms to the equipment. Recently joined their Purple Burn group class and the only thing I'm upset about is that I didn't join sooner! Please consider a different gym if available. Anytime is overpriced and the hidden fees are treacherous. If you don't believe me, search online how to end a membership with anytime fitness. The only way you can is to pay a fee almost as large as your yearly discharge. Along with that, the facilities are generally less-equipped as cheaper options. Out of all the gyms I have been in Orlando, this has to be one of my favorite. It has all the equipments you need, friendly staff, around the hour cleaning and sanitizing, all wearing masks, and great energy. Another perk it that it is open 24/7 which I great for people who have to workout early in the morning or late at night. A great addition to the Windermere Trails area! Cannot recommend after the ridiculous experience I just had. New to the Windermere area and a friend recommended this facility to me. I received a referral email advertising a current promotion to join the club in addition to several text messages with further information on becoming a member, urging me to come in and tour the facility. I called to inquire, and I was quickly informed that the promotion they sent me was not valid at their specific location (even though the email was sent from Anytime Fitness Windermere). I was very confused and asked for further clarification. I was informed that because the club is currently "at capacity" they would not be accepting any new members for the month of January, and he could not guarantee that they would even be taking on additional members in February. He did say I could sign up for classes or a short-term membership at $70/month. Surreal customer service. I was a prospect looking to invest long-term in a fitness facility, and this business said "we don't want your money, go to the place down the road." So that's what I'll do. read more

I would not recommend becoming a member at this location. The gym is completely overcrowded. The owner/GM has over sold memberships and they do not care about their members. This location is all about making as much money as they can. They also have areas inside the gym that are unused and they will not open the space up to members. It is a complete waste of space especially considering they are severely overcrowded. Been a member of Anytime Fitness since 2009 when I signed up at a different location up north. Every single Anytime Fitness I have ever been to has been above average and this location in Windermere is no different. I don't think its a gym for everyone but if you are looking for a simple gym that is super clean and has everything you need than don't look any further. Many people I know seem to prefer LA or Gold's because they feel that Anytime is too "small". It is pretty rare but there are times when I wish they had more benches or equipment but again this is pretty rare. 90% of the time the gym is fully available and you won't have to wait for anything. One thing that is cool about this location is the availability of bumper plates, fairly priced protein/pre workout and the free bananas (nice touch). As for Anytime in general, remember that the keys work EVERYWHERE and the gym is a true 24/7 gym. Literally. 24/7. No closing on Sunday for a few hours till Monday AM. No closing early on holidays. Also of final note is the cleanliness of the gym. It is a small gym so it's probably not hard to keep it clean for the staff but it still should be noted that this gym stays clean all the time and they are doing an excellent job in that regard. Rare but when I do have questions or concerns I have found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend giving this gym a look. I really don't think it is for everyone since some people like to have a ton of equipment to choose from. The reality is you don't really need all that fancy stuff at the other gyms but I can respect anyone who wishes to have it. For someone like me who just needs a barbell, plates and dumbbells I can't ask for more. It feels like a private gym that I just share with people and I love it! read more

A lot of member to member support when we are all here to achieve some sort of goal no matter what the goal may be. Awesome fitness classes and conveniently located next to a Publix as well. 24 hr usage. If you have a hectic schedule, especially if you are in that theme park life, this is the place to be. Convenience is a huge factor, but through and through I have no complaints about Anytime Fitness, especially the Windermere location. Anytime Fitness in the new Lakeside Village shopping center in Windermere opened on 8/10/12, and I'm thrilled to have a gym around the corner! My husband and I joined as part of their preopening sale, and the prices are very fair and comparable to other gyms in the Central Florida area. So far I've only dabbled with the cardio machines, which are top notch - touch screens, plugs for iPods, and built in TVs! They have a second phase opening in the near future where they will offer classes like Zumba and yoga, that may be when I mark my rating up to 5 stars! read more

Simply put if you want a clean gym with new equipment, a staff that cares and an owner that absolutely strives to please his members. Look no further. True you don't have 4 leg extensions machines, 5 bench press setups and 2 hack squats. Guess what? You don't need that many sets of equipment when the gym is never packed. Not to mention the high capacity gyms are flithy. It's just the reality of a ton of people and 30-40% not having the decency to clean after themselves or put weights away. Won't find that here. It's an absolute rarity you see someone leave weights on a machine, on the floor or not wipe down the bench/machine/equipment they just used. Anytime Fitness Windernere rocks and is a unique gym experience I highly recommend. This gym is a little gem in Windermere. The staff is fantastic and helpful, but not pushy. The equipment is new and generally always in working order. It's not a massive, gaudy monstrosity like the new gym in town. It's a bit tight when it's busy, but with my schedule, I almost never run into crowds. I was one of the first to join this gym after much anticipation. The equipment is top of the line and the atmosphere isn't stuffy. I feel like it is my own private gym with the secure entry and flexible hours of 24/7. The extension will be open soon and I look forward to the group classes.
