Seven years ago, I sustained a serious injury that most trainers do not know how to train around. I knew I needed someone with a physical therapy base, but most trainers who also have a working knowledge of PT, work in PT instead of training. That's the #1 reason I chose to work with Rudy. He has the background I was looking for in a trainer. I have been training with Rudy weekly for almost a year, and I can say I have never had a trainer whose mind works like Rudy's does. The way he connects the movements across muscles and joints to build the supporting areas for optimal strength and performance. The performance difference since we started training together until now is notable visually as well as functionally. I am stronger today because of our training together.

I truly look forward to and enjoy every minute I spend here - even when I'm pushing myself to do things I've never done before. Ali is such a creative trainer that I know even when I'm not 100% she's going to figure out a way to get a quality, safe, fun, and beneficial workout in. I've made noticeable progress and feel like I've progressed further than I ever would have on my own. The Gym Lab has been invaluable! And also sometimes there are puppies.

Likewise he and I worked together to create realistic goals. Every day I walk out sore, but I guess that's a good thing. He also worked with me in terms of my nutrition so that I would still be able to eat what I want and see results. He would recommend things I should maybe include in my diet and a few things to exclude but overall there were no major changes. He also has a upbeat and enthusiastic personality. My dad also uses his services and loves his approach!

Doesn't hurt that he's easy on the eyes, too. And yet he's not a cheeseball or a jerk. He won't spend your time checking himself out in the mirror, like so many male personal trainers. I've seen him help people tone up and lose weight. But he also knows how to help someone like me, who didn't need to lose weight, but wanted to develop strength in a proportional, gender-appropriate manner. He helped me make that happen, and I'm pleased with the results.

This place is really just a cut above every other gym I've ever been to- though it's almost unfair to compare it with any other place because the model is so different. FFC offers one-on-one and small group personal training, that's it. There are no drop-ins or self-directed exercises where you mindlessly use a cardio or weight machine, etc. All of the trainers are friendly, supportive and unintimidating (yeah even you, Wayne!) I started out obese and desperately needed structure, discipline and support. I found all of that and more in my trainer, Travis Sillery. He showed me the patience and encouragement I needed, kept me motivated, challenged my ability, believed in me and always made the workouts fun. I actually looked forward to each visit! I'm not gonna lie, there were times I was pushed to my limits, but I loved it. Travis isn't just another trainer, he is is truly a caring person who will become a friend. Not only does he educate his clients during workouts, but he really lives what he teaches! His positive attitude will permeate your entire outlook and will live on far beyond each personalized training session. Travis quite literally changed my life. Today, I am in the best shape I have ever been in and finally fall into the normal weight category. There is still some room for improvement, but I couldn't have made it this far without him. (THANK YOU!) I only left FFC as a client because I moved out of the state, but had I been able to take Travis and everyone else with me, I would have! If you are serious about getting in shape, check out Travis and FFC! Travis's rate is VERY reasonable, and he will help you succeed! Trust me, you won't regret it!

Great studio space, all the equipment you could ever want, cozy but not cramped, and everyone is so darn friendly. You can really tell that the trainers love what they're doing! My go-to guy was Jarret. I can't say enough good things about him! He always made our sessions fun (even though I secretly think he was trying to kill me!), pricing was very reasonable and he was super flexible to accommodate my ridiculous schedule. Jarret is the BEST. TRAINER. EVER. He helped me lose almost 25 lbs and, more importantly, feel better than I'd ever felt! I haven't been able to find anyone who compares out here in California. Booooo! When I win the lotto I'm going to pay him to move to the west coast and hire him to be my PERSONAL personal trainer! lol

I've been training with Nick, the owner, for over a year now. I enjoy our sessions together. I…read morefinally have a regular schedule with Nick, but I started out going to random sessions throughout the week, based on my schedule abs his availability. I always found him to be very flexible with me. The sessions don't come cheap, but hey, you get what you pay for. That's a common theme in life. Don't forget it. Nick monitors my progress but is also very open when it comes to movements and weights. Some days I have knee pain, some days I don't. If the weight looks easy, he will increase the reps or the weight. Sometimes I am the one who says I can do more weight, and he increases it. Sometimes I am tired and sore and he asks me how I'm doing/feeling and makes adjustments based on that. I've never been injured working with Nick. He watches my movements and corrects me as needed. He asks me if and what I've trained outside of the gym so he can tailor my workout to areas I've missed. I enjoy conversing with Nick as I train. The studio is private, so my sessions are always one on one, but the gym is a membership only place, so occasionally there are other people working out. The personal training clients get first dibs on the equipment when with Nick, but there is enough stuff and space that we are never negotiating with other people. He moved to a new gym space recently and it's more spacious than the prior spot. He also has gathered more equipment. Parking is way better now too and there are separate male and female bathrooms. I'd say the new place is a major upgrade. I only do the personal training. So while I can't speak for the gym membership, what I know is- the price is reasonable, you get 24 hour access with scheduled appointment (so the gym isn't overbooked) and there are security cameras for your safety. Check his page on IG for more info, @theweighthouse and his website theweighthouse.com as well. He also has some fantastic merch for sale.
