I've been using Daynas Sitting Service for a couple of years now and have no issues whatsoever…read more Different sitters do come in as the ones I've originally met are not available but I still get a constant standard of care. I get updates and pictures (I've asked for it) and the sitters give me heads up on things they notice that might be out of the ordinary. I have the confidence now to leave for an extended time and not worry about my critters, even with one having ongoing health issues that can flare up.

At first I thought a simple phone call to discuss the issues could resolve things and we could move forward, but I was advised that Ashley was unable to call me after 330pm weekdays and other than suggesting emails she was unhelpful after that. Btw one issue was that they gave my keys without telling me to another sitter. Also they refuse to contact you by phone so as I had no internet where I was going, this was an inconvenience that I would have lived with jad everything else been fine. They overfeeding my senior cat and when I asked why (expecting to hear that they misunderstood so again wanted to fix it before the next time) they flat out lied. How do I know This? If my cat had eaten nothing the entire time there still should have been less food in the dish than what was left over. Poor service and possibly unhealthy for your pet too. Also I had asked to arrange a time to return my keys last Tuesday and other than an invoice for the cost of the key return, have not heard back to arrange a date and time to return my keys. The invoice was sent without other communication and I paid it today (Friday) following which I sent an email at 310pm and left a voice message aT 330pm asking for my key and fob back. Horrid service do not Use!

My dog is very needy (I baby her way too much), so I was really nervous leaving her for a week. I refuse to lock her up in a kennel. I wanted my dog to feel like she was at home, and still get love and affection while I was gone. Maggie Mays was a smooth experience. We were invited over for a one hour interview process where our dog was able to roam the house and see if she was comfortable staying there, leading on to a series of question about our dog; likes, dislikes, health issues, walking schedule, ect. I really enjoyed the communication from Maggie Mays while we were gone, with daily updates on our dog, as well as photos. Price was right. $150 for five nights ($30/night) Say what? Other kennels can charge up to $90.00 a night. Would recommend if you are looking for a local pet boarding company.

I looked at several school for Bodhi's puppy education and decided to go with the Ottawa Canine…read moreSchool located on St-Laurent Blvd. The Ottawa Canine School has several classes to choose from such as puppy kindergarten, obedience, agility and Canine Good Citizen preparation. I wanted to enroll in puppy kindergarten and was glad to learn that the registration is on going. You can start at any date and will get 5 lessons of 1 hour. On his first day, Bodhi got to meet with Alana & Roxanne, the trainers, and was right at home. We were shown the proper way to have dogs greet and moved to the hall where the training happens. The training hall is large and clean. The classes have a nice flow and are very interactive. You also get to interact with other dogs. There is a small break halfway through the class. Alana is very knowledgable and Roxanne gives your dog the extra attention that they sometime need. The Ottawa Canine School also has a day care including a one just for small dogs on Thursdays. Bodhi loved his experience and since he was already familiar with the settings because of puppy kindergarten, he was immediately comfortable. The only downside that I would like to point out is that you have to reserve/cancel in advance as there is no walk-ins. I would recommend both the classes and the day care and not to hesitate to contact them if you have any questions.

Not to mention that when my dog tried to PLAY (GASP!) at the PLAY DATE, she wouldn't cease following him around everywhere he went and giving the whole family looks, instead of approaching us with any concerns/letting us explain my dogs noisy and energetic ways. From the moment we walked in we all felt judged and considered leaving early after being told that we couldn't use some agility equipment because we were making my dog jump "too high" (maybe 3/4 of a foot?) while we were just testing out what he would be like. I was highly considering taking Timber there for some agility classes because the facility really is gorgeous, welcoming and well-kept but FAT CHANCE now. I have no doubt that their TRAINING would be fine, but this experience absolutely ruined it for me. Such a terrible waste of my $20.
