If I could afford to be a stay-at-home hu-mom to my 2 dogs, I would. But I can't. Monday to Friday, I'd leave them at home, knowing full well that they would end up "sleeping in" the whole day while I toiled away at the office. Sure, it made me feel less guilty knowing they were oblivious to my extended absence, but the guilt came back twofold when I had little energy to dedicate to them at the end of a long day. Our walks got shorter because of decreased energy levels, and in the winter, less frequent on account of the cold weather. Always an excuse, and they paid the price. ENTER DRAGONLUCK KENNELS. Dawn and her crew certainly changed things around. I entrust my dogs to her care twice (to three times) a work-week, and I know they are being well cared for and properly socialized and exercised. One need only take a look at the size of the lot - a stream literally runs through it - and the dogs have so much fun covering the impressive territory day in/out! I can immediately tell when I pick them up at the end of the day that they've had their fair share of fun and play and exercise (excited greeting closely followed by pre-slumber droopy eyelids on the car ride home). I've noticed their social skills improve (less fearful of other dogs of all shapes and sizes)... and I've even picked up a few tips/tricks myself to get them to obey commands as a result of the advice collected from the amazing staff on site. All in all, a true blessing to have such an amazing kennel available to me - and my girls - and I'm grateful to Dawn and the whole staff there for taking such good care of my furbabies in my absence! Our Lab X has been going to Dragonluck since 2008, both as a boarder and as a daycare dog. He is a social dog that needs the interaction with other dogs, and he gets that at Dragonluck. He loves the walks (runs) to the pond that they do twice everyday, snow, rain or sun; while the big play yard offers him lots of "hanging out" time with his buddies. The staff and owner, Dawn O'Leary are well versed in dogs of all breeds, and have a deep love of animals that shows in their interactions with their crew of dogs. Small, large, in between, each dog is loved for his/her self and allowed to be a dog. lots of sniffies, peemails, and general all around fun is the name of the game at Dragonluck. I would and have recommend Dragonluck to dog owners as a safe happy place for their dogs, either as boarders or as daycare dogs. Well done Dragonluck!! read more

I can't thank Dawn and her caring staff enough for the amazing care and love they show our pup. Our dog is a rescue that has some separation anxiety so at the recommendation of one of Dawn's clients we decided to try doggy daycare a couple of times a week. It has made a huge difference! Our pup is so excited when we turn into the driveway, and comes home happy and tired! We also tried overnight boarding this past weekend and it went so well. Arnaq was happy and well cared for. We bring our dog to day camp at Dragonluck Kennels once a week while we are at work, so that she can have a great day playing with her friends and running on off leash walks in both the morning and afternoon. We are confident that she loves her time at Dragonluck as she sprints the entire way up the walkway to the building when we drop her off, and happily settles into her kennel area. My husband and I are so grateful for finding Dragonluck Kennels, as we feel that it has allowed us more freedom than we expected after adding a pet to our family. This kennel is the best I have ever taken my dog to. We bring our border collie Archie twice a week for day camp and he comes homes happy and tired because he gets to run, play and swim. Dawn the owner is amazing with the dogs, she's friendly and very flexible if you need to add or change a date. All the staff are wonderful for that matter, but the most important thing is my dog loves it at Dragonluck, he pulls to rush in every time we take him. I will absolutely take Archie for boarding here as well when we travel, also the prices are very fair as you get a lot of "bang for your buck." I would definitely recommend Dragonluck. I have a 1 year old German Shepherd who's extremely hyper and I needed help big time. Taking my pooch to Dragon Luck for doggy day care is pretty much the only way I'm able to tire him out. When he comes back, he's totally wiped. I feel indebted to the staff at Dragonluck. They've really taken an interest in my dog and its clear they are all animal lovers. I've received great advice for managing my guy and they take the time to discuss issues. Great staff. Most of all my guy loves going. In the past I've felt guilty boarding my dog when going away. I trust Dawn at Dragonluck to take good care of my best friend when I must go out of town. Harry has been there twice, and as a city dog, has a blast at "doggy camp": he gets to play outside with other friendly dogs, go for off-leash walks and even a swim. As a young, energetic dog, 6 hours a day of outdoor time is great for him. With Dawn's years of experience with dog breeding, training her own dogs, and as a pet first aid instructor, I know she is more qualified to take care of him than I am! read more

We are so happy to have found Dragonluck Kennels for our Rottweiler, Basil. The whole team there are amazing and clearly love the dogs. Basil is always so excited to go there and is super tired the next day. We love that they go on off-leash group walks around the huge plot in addition to playing in fenced gardens.
