Great food, great prices, great specials and great service! I choose the Friday night ribeye Special with free drink.

Pappy's Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich

Second year in a row we have stopped here on our January 1st motorcycle ride. They were very accommodating for our group of about 30. They moved a bunch of tables so we were all able to sit together. I was a little worried that they might be overwhelmed with so many of us but I was wrong. The service was fantastic, they made sure our drinks were never empty and the food came out surprisingly quick. I had Pappy's pulled pork bbq sandwich with fries which was really good. Paying was very convenient, the receipts had a QR code that you could scan and pay at the table. Over all great experience and I look forward to going back.

When you walk into this place you smell freedom appreciation. The decor is mainly firefighters stuff and seems pretty authentic. We were warmly greeted after striking out on two other places it was nice to have that. We saw a sign said due to hiring shortage please be patient. So we did. We were kept up to date and we admired the decor. Ordered the western bacon burger which was delicious. The fireman burger was calorie rich. The pulled pork with Mac and cheese don't recall the name but was fun flavors in the mouth. The chicken tenders were a little over cooked. Overall a great meal. Our waitress did so good and we would love to have her again.

Went here with my boys tonight. The food was average to good. I was expecting better. Not sure why. They advertise everywhere around here. The restaurant boasts firefighter decor: a ladder hanging from the ceiling, a firefighter coat hangs on the wall, a firehose wrapped around a room divider, another leaning against the wall. A bookcase shows off a lot of small scale fire engines. I had the fried oysters which needed some kind of sauce. They tasted fine. But they needed something extra. The hush puppies were fine. The coleslaw was very good! My sons had crab cakes (very good), and vegetables. One son ate all his overcooked green beans. (It may be a Southern thing to overlook green beans.) The other son couldn't eat them. He didn't like those at all. I will definitely be back and maybe become a regular. The menu has a lot of choices that sound very good. We did have to ask for appetizer plates for our onion ring appetizer. The wait staff does everything in a hurry - when they come to check in, they will hear 1 answer and run off before another request can be made. So when they come back, they now have another thing to do. It doubles their work instead of being efficient. Next time, I will know to ask ahead of time for ketchup and sauce for the onion rings and cocktail sauce. The sauces won't come automatically but the food definitely needs to have the flavor added.

Nice decor!

Opened YELP and it was the first place listed. We decided to stop based on the ratings and appearance and selection of the food. Fire station decor and really quaint inside. People were friendly but on mountain time food came quickly. Meatloaf, hamburger steak and all the food was great-fresh cut fries! I would've given it 5 stars except I realized after a few bites the bottom of the meatloaf was red and not fully cooked and my meal was lukewarm. Brought it back, heated it up, ate it, and it's good hot!

Great place! We are on vacay and do glad we tried this diner! Chicken fried steak was delish as were the corndog bites and shrimp basket! Everything looked HOMEMADE and tasted great! The interior was cute with a fire station theme. Service was beyond great! Best service in awhile! Lots of homade cakes and pies too!

The veggies weren't soggy, the cheese was melty, and the bacon was perfectly crisp. Whatever chef was working on July 12th around noon please give them a huge thank you from me. I'm still dreaming of it. The home fries were also tender perfection and the biscuit rivaled my grandmother's, may she RIP. You can tell this is a place where the locals go. Atmosphere was homey, with old-time photos of FroRo on the wall, and waitresses wandered about offering refills of coffee and bantered with the regulars. We will return!

"Our Home Town Diner" sounded good, had positive reviews, and most importantly was open at 7am. What a treat and definitely a feel of home town friendliness including the aforementioned waitress who almost was from our home town. I spotted the Jar Bowl on the menu so I asked the waitress how their sausage gravy was. She said both the sausage and chopped beef gravies were "really delicious" so I said give me the Jar with its biscuit, gravy, meat-filled omelette and jalapenos (She did ask if I was aware of those spicy devil's and I just smiled ). The "Jar Bowl" was AWESOME and the gravy delicious (I only order "gravy" in southern states.)!! Everyone's breakfasts were delicious and more than reasonably priced plus the coffee kept coming!! The dining room had historic photos and we flew at home! What a great place to eat!!

That's pretty common for restaurants. One area that could use improvement I will note is the waiting/ host area. It felt somewhat disorganized, and guests seemed unsure where to stand or who was next in line. There was a host stand but no one there when we came in. Servers kept walking past. People were coordinating among themselves to determine the order of queue. Adding clearer signage or having a set host could help create a smoother experience for busy days. The food was average overall. Our waitress was friendly, and offered recommendations despite the busy time. After being seated, there was a wait before our drink order was taken. Honestly while waiting on my drink, I browsed the menu and already was ready to order by time they took our drinks. once that was taken, the food arrived within a reasonable timeframe. The restrooms were the biggest ick of our visit. They had single bathrooms with clear vacancy indicators on the doors with working locks. They were running low on toilet paper, dark, and there was a smell that was similar to a hot, sweaty gas station. On a positive note, plenty of parking with spaces both in front of the restaurant and in a larger lot on the side of the building. Signs to get to there were clear both on the highway exits and near the business. Overall, the experience was okay. I think we would come back for food and sit-down experience. The food was decent and convenient for a road stop, but i would highly suggest cleaning the bathrooms and strengthening the host/waiting area for rushes.

Simply put, the bodega breakfast sandwich might be the best breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten. I took it to eat on the road and was startled about how delicious it was. The freshly baked (you can tell) brioche bun with everything bagel seasoning on top added a great salty taste to go along with the tasty stuff inside. I think it was because they enjoyed working there. Or, at least it give them a chance to eat some really tasty food. I had their Cubano Tartine. That's kind of like an omelet with the ingredients of a Cubano sandwich, except for the roll, mixed in. (And yes, I get that the cooking process is a bit different.) ' Anyway, this Cubano Tartine shows up on a plate in front of me. I dig in and keep digging. The ingredients, ham, cheese, pickles, etc, were plentiful and delicious. They were sitting on an ample slice of their sourdough bread. That was the first issue. It was IMPOSSIBLE to cut. I guess I could have asked for a steak knife or maybe a power tool. But, there was so much other stuff that I was able to have a very filling meal without it. The other issue was that the lightly dressed side salad was doused in dressing. Again, didn't complain because, for me, it wasn't a problem during this visit. Issues aside, if I come back to Hagerstown, I'll look for an excuse to come back.
