It was pretty empty, which most of the occupation being at the bar area. I like the decorations they had and plants all around. I ordered the enchiladas mole pablano under the lunch special. The waiter gave us the regular menu, and I had to get up to grab the lunch special menu. No worries though. The mole sauce is earthy, pepper, and nutty. Comes with rice and beans. Green habanero hot sauce in a bottle was very spicy and flavorful. Big portions. They also give free salsa and chips with free refills. Very affordable price, long wait time but it's understandable. Delicious food

We're in Peoria usually every week and one of our first stops is always Childers (I have to have my shrimp and grits). this week we stopped at Grand Prairie, ordered my usual, and the waitress informed me that you changed the recipe and are not adding andouille sausage to the shrimp and grits anymore, but substituted it with bacon?! for the life of me I can't figure out why you would mess with success, yes, the bacon was a nice touch, but that should be in there anyway in addition to the andouille sausage. And don't get me started on you removing chorizo biscuits, and gravy off the menu lol. OK, thanks for letting me vent, maybe you could reconsider and bring back the favorites again.

I didn't get pictures this time so I will do my best to describe it. I normally don't bother with food that is a trend of social media, but when you mention a chicken sandwich that makes the original Popeyes sandwich look like a slider you end up trying the viral sandwich. If you don't know, this is a gigantic sandwich. Some videos show a large sandwich while others show the chicken version of a tenderloin sandwich. If you have ever tried a tenderloin sandwich you know. We ended up having a version of each one. These come on a toasted bun with lettuce, tomato, mayo and pickles which is better than lettuce and mayo. There were fries and white macaroni and cheese. In other words, too much food. Seriously, share this meal with a friend. The fries at Chili's are decent. Good crunch with salt and pepper. I give them a 10/10 as they're a solid safe food. The macaroni and cheese was a white people version. By that I mean it was watery and somehow the pasta didn't mix with the sauce very well. I'd give it a 1/10. It wasn't a very safe safe food. Now for that chicken sandwich. Toppings were a solid 10/10. Chicken 7/10. It was cooked perfectly but it was too salty. I go heavy handed with seasoning but this was borderline inedible. Alright, that's the food. I'm going to give you a warning here. If you have a small mouth or TMJ, this isn't your sandwich unless you break it into manageable bites. I unfortunately went balls to the wall. I knew after that first bite I needed to eat with a fork but, I decided to "man up." Needless to say, I spent the day in a lovely TMJ flare with swelling too. Totally my fault. Just putting out my experience so you don't make my mistake. Chili's, I'll be back for this sandwich. I just ask that you dial back on the salt. Or give out a gallon of water with every order. I will probably forget all about the pain of eating that sandwich but damn, it's worth it.

As I was paying he fiddled with the register and as he gave me my change he slipped me a gift card. I was kinda taken back a little and we talked a little more then I went back to the table to finish our coffee to get ready to leave. I got to say the staff here is spot on. Never did we want for anything. The food was great and coffee was delicious. So we pack up the kids and go out to the cars to transfer bags and luggage when I turn around and here comes Oscar the owner. Evidently I dropped the card he had given me. He came right out and we talked a little more to the point I feel we made new friends with each other. I totally recommend eating here. You won't be disappointed. Bring your kids and family and enjoy a great home style breakfast. It's great!
