Food was delicious, and we really enjoyed the all tacos plus service was very friendly and fast. Toppings were your choice and included white onions, cilantro, lime, radish, jalapeños, spicy and mild salsa, etc. While we were waiting Casa De Arte had some art pieces to look at, which were available for purchase if interested. Margaritas 4 out of 5; chips (on the border) & salsa 5/5 shrimp taco had great flavors 5/5 , other meat (pork, steak and chorizo) tacos were ok 2/5 - meat was dry but u get to add your own topping.... First time visit to Casa De Arte at 1227 SW Adam Street, Peoria. What started out as an art gallery, has morphed into a fine restaurant and gallery. The restaurant was immaculate. The menu is varied and has a number of items not seen on most Mexican restaurants. We started out with guacamole and chips. $8:00. Perhaps the best guacamole I have ever had. I chose the shrimp tacos at $5:00. My friend went for the Bistec (beef) and she also thought it was a great choice at $8.00. While at Casa De Arte, enjoy the art work of Arturo Vargas. read more

It's my first time coming to this place and the food was amazing! We ordered street corn, horchata, some tacos, guacamole, and churros. The guacamole was so delicious and was made fresh as soon as we ordered it. The churros were just as tasty, hot and fresh!! I've never had such good churros! We tried this spot out for the first time on Saturday afternoon! It was DELICIOUS! We asked the host for a few recommendations and I'm so glad we did. We ordered a few tacos and the volcanes, along with an order of guac and salsa. I can wait to go back and eat it again! I sent pics and recommended it to my family once we were done eating. Forgot it was authentic and our jalapeño margaritas were a bit spicy but oh so good! The spicy salsa was yummy and luckily not super spicy. First time here! Since Covid 19 is making everyone eat outdoors they are prepared! Menu is small but it is authentic Mexican - no taco salads because that is Americanized food. The guacamole is fantastic - try the tacos! The pina colada is a surprise and great and the lime margarita is refreshing and not a mix! So glad we stopped in! I will be back!!!! read more

I'm not usually in the area, but stopped here last week. I had al pastor and shrimp tacos. Both were very good, and the shrimp taco in particular blew me away - best new thing I've encountered in Peoria for a few months. My wife had mushroom and lengua tacos, and loved the lengua. Casa de Arte is a wonderful Peoria surprise! The neat, cleanly kept, corner restaurant located in an up and coming neighborhood serves delicious tacos and displays emerging artwork from local artists. We found the restaurant warm and welcoming and the food fantastic! Our favorites were the volcanos, street corn and margaritas. Currently open Fridays and Saturdays, next weekend can't come soon enough for us to return. read more

Visited Casa De Arte for the first time a few weeks ago. Weather was nice so we decided to eat outside. We ordered 6 tacos, chicken, steak, lengua, mushroom, and 2 al pastor, as well as guacamole, and palomas to drink. The guacamole was some of the freshest I've ever tasted. The paloma's were very refreshing in the heat. The tacos were each better than the last. I've always been hesitant about lengua, but that ended up being my favorite of all of them that we tried. It was tender and flavorful, better than any lengua I've had before. Can't wait to get back for more! read more

Wow!! The new standard for Mexican food in Peoria! The food, drinks, ambiance and staff were all exceptional. For starters, the salsa was great but the guacamole was insane. It was so creamy with a nice burst of lime. I got the steak taco, which I normally don't order, and the meat was incredibly tender and closer to shredded beef than chunks of steak, which is just how I like it. The al pastor was also fantastic - tender seasoned pork and spices with chopped pineapple mixed in. I got it with a charred jalapeño on top to take it to that next level. I got a Toritos cocktail and it was ok, it was like a screwdriver but with tequila. I tried my friend's house lime margarita and it was probably the best one I've had in Peoria. Came here on a first Fridays art day. They had an exhibit nicely done for the artist. Here's the food scene which was disappointing because the place has a nice vibe. You have to go to the bar to order and then get a number so they deliver the food to your table. Prices are cheap. Tables are small and they delivered all food including the chips and guacamole appetizer at the same time. The table was packed with food. The service at the bar was short and curt. Maybe someone more friendly taking orders. The food came and we each got two of the tacos, split the elote and chips and guacamole. Plenty of food. Here's the thing I didn't like, you get you taco meat on a shell and that's it. You have to go to a communal condiment bar and put topping on. I want my taco to be put together with the optimal taco flavors and condiments. Plus I don't want to use a taco condiment bar that everyone else all day has been digging around it. How long has that been out? How clean is it? So the flavor of the taco wasn't great. Not my favorite. I had the house taco and the volcano taco. The volcano taco was weird to eat. Do you hold it? It was a cute place. Tacos were good but not special. Margaritas were not good. Tasted like a mix which I would have expected real lime...

Really good tacos, they gave me sliced radishes with my meal I was confused on what to do with them until I realized they were a healthy alternative to a tortilla chip to picking up the leftovers that fell out of the taco onto the plate. Delicious I had the steak and beef tongue tacos. Only about 8 dollars for two tacos that made me full and also the art is nice touch to look around at. I think they have some kind of beer garden type thing on weekends but I went on a Thursday so I don't know for sure. read more
