I was very nervous about going because I just moved to Alabama and I picked this practice from my insurance list. I checked for reviews and called to make an appointment. The appointment setter was very patient with me as I tried to find my insurance info. She then sent me all the forms electronically so I could fill them out at home. When I arrived I was greeted by two very friendly front desk associates. I barely sat down before I was called to the back. I was provided a treatment plan with prices and they explained everything along the way. Although I went in because my crown came off, I stayed for a much needed root canal. I don't think I've ever sat in a dentist chair and felt so safe and comfortable. No pain at all and they asked me multiple times to make sure I was pain free. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Parking, however, can be a little tight. Unfortunately, the relationship had to be terminated due a billing dispute for $165. I ended up being compelled to pay the full amount despite explaining to them the unfortunate circumstances around the issuance of the bill. The receptionist was somewhat rude (not ugly) as she explained the situation on their end. I asked if we could meet in the middle to preserve the relationship (something their web presence says they value), but she was unable to come to an equitable resolution for me. They may have received their cash payment for $165, but will lose out on thousands of dollars worth of future claims payments from my insurer because they were unable/unwilling to compromise with a long-standing, reliable patient. With all that said, I will miss Dr. Davenport and I wish her well. I hope her office management team learns to see the bigger picture when it comes to preserving patient relationships, especially when the amount in question is so paltry in the long run.

He is so kind, compassionate, personable, and genuinely cares for his patients. His financial staff up front (Natalie & Holly) are two of the nicest women I have ever met.
