    Onion rings, so good!
    carissa p.

Best onion rings ever! Not much to say other than you need to try them. Pizza with hot honey was good, crust was delicious. Portion was perfect for lunch and made a great midnight snack. Brisket sandwich wasn't my favorite, the meat was shredded so finely, it felt like there was more slaw than protein. Was a bit messy and tricky to eat, the fries were my favorite part. I wouldn't order it again, but everything around me looked so good I'm excited to come back and try more. If you can sit outside, opt for an outdoor table, it's a bit warm and stuffy inside. Staff were super friendly, responsive, and everything there was loving it. Will definitely be back again.

I always walk by this place and finally decided to pop in for a quick brunch. Their eggs were the fluffiest I've ever had so delicious it makes you want to lick the plate clean. The brioche toast was a nice touch as well. Our server was super nice and fast good service. I will have to be back to try their dinner!

Delicious pizza!! Great indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside and enjoyed visiting with people and their pups. (The only downside is our table was lopsided and glasses kept sliding) Servers and hostess were kind and efficient. I already want another pizza! The crust was amazing! Perfectly crisp and chewy at the same time. We ordered a Margherita with burrata and spicy chili honey drizzled on top. So good!! Our Caesar salad was also good but the pizza was definitely the star!!

My friends and I stopped by this place on our way down hwy1, and tried their brunch menu ( they don't serve lunch menu after 1pm on fri and sat). Overall, the food was quite enjoyable, and the service was very welcoming and friendly. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was just bit on the bland side; i think it wouldve been better if they provided some more sauce, but that's just a personal preference. Their portions are quite large, and they go to every table offering takeout boxes.

    Chicken parm- lasagna like.

Amazing! Cute little spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Menu was full of savory options, and a sweet dessert menu. We got two chicken dishes that were SO BIG this was definitely enough to feed 1-3 people. The chicken sandwich was moist, full of savory flavor, and a sweet bun. The chicken parm was lasagna like, with lots of layers. Both were easy to cut, eat, and enjoy. The atmosphere was lively and outgoing. The Brussel sprouts with bacon were AMAZING and I highly recommend them. Our waiter was kind and quick.

Last Wednesday my husband and I were looking for a date night spot that we hadn't tried before. Rudolfo's had been on my list for a while, and it was perfect in every way. We walked in (sans reservation) around 6 last Wednesday night and they had room to seat us outside. The service was attentive, friendly, and the recommendations were wonderful. A lovely gal sitting at the table next to us noticed us struggling with what to choose and recommended the fig pizza. She said she visited a few times a year from Santa Barbara and always came here for that dish specifically. She even gave us a slice prior to us ordering! She wasn't lying- it was otherworldly. Don't go here without trying it. We started with some tasty beer and wine and with the caesar salad with chicken which was crisp, refreshing, and huge (plenty for 2-3 folks to split). My husband got the fig pizza (fig jam, basil, generous amounts of ricotta, and added prosciutto. I ordered the spicy rigatoni alla vodka (a wild card for me, since I don't typically do spicy but it's one of my favorite dishes at Jon & Vinny's which I've been craving). The pasta (albeit a tad spicy for me) was absolutely delicious and plenty for a lunch the next day as well. Overall, I can't believe we waited so long to try Rudolfo's. It's become our new favorite date spot and we look forward to returning!

Brioche French Toast and biscuits and gravy

Highly recommend. The French toast was amazing and best biscuits and gravy that I've had in Monterey! Very friendly staff and they have a patio if you want to bring your dog.

We ordered for take out while on vacation and we were pleasantly surprised at how fresh everything tasted. The pasta was definitely homemade and the pizza was delicious! The food was ready in a timely manner and easy to pick up. It was definitely busy in there when we went in on a Thursday night, but they did have outdoor seating available with lighting and heaters. I'm glad we stopped by, would definitely visit again!

This is a great place to eat in the Monterey Bay Area. The menu is loaded with great dishes but the XO Burger spoke to me. The combo of the spicy sauce, bacon, and onion ring really hit. The star of the show was the beef which was tender and flavorful!. It also had a cool small town vibe!

Wowwy!! This place is absolutely wonderful. The service was great - kind, courteous, and friendly. The food is delicious and the portions are large. Inside is tight but they offer outside seating. It was a bit cold (typical Pacific Grove weather) so we waited for a table inside. All our food came out fresh and hot. We didn't have to wait long either. See my pics of the entrees we ordered. I highly recommend giving this place a try. I've lived in PG for 8+ years and I've been to this place many times for their wonderful gelato. This is the first time I tried their food but it won't be the last. My new Italian "go to" from this day forward!

Amazing pasta, hands down one of the best I've had. Service was super quick and servers were friendly. Bolognese was super creamy and the vodka pasta was amazing. Would stop by if I ever am back in town. P.S get a gelato on the way out, you won't be disappointed. We saw so many people go in and out for gelato we couldn't resist and we now understood why

We've been coming here for years and I've never, not once, been disappointed. Everything about Mezzaluna is amazing. Mezzaluna's a fairly small restaurant so I always book a reservation. They have a smallish, but very nice, lounge area if your table isn't ready or you're just showing up for a drink. Their staff is beyond friendly and their bartender knows how to make a cocktail. The prices, in my opinion are very reasonable and the portions are what you'd expect. I RARELY, if ever, take home leftovers but this is one of my few restaurant leftover exceptions. I almost always get Rigatoni alla Buttera and my wife the Al Nero con Vongole but not always. Everything we've ever had on the menu is amazing. All the pasta is made fresh in house, and you can taste it. I've eaten at every Italian restaurant in Carmel, and sure Taylor Swift didn't eat here, but I'm glad she didn't. I want this place to be sucessful but I also want to keep this gem out of the Hollywood spotlight. This place stand on its own without needing that kind of notoriety. Restaurants like this let the food, which is what their, they're for do the talking. A few small notes for those who may not have dined here before: 1) Outside seating is right next to highway 68. So that's not the most "awesome" outdoor dining experience, but it is what it is right, but worth a note. 2) The parking lot can be a bit crowded so depending on the night, plan a little extra time to possibly have a small walk if the lot's full. 3) LOCAL/HACK! They have an awesome wine list (for in house dining or to take home). Their prices are VERY VERY good. BUT, the cool thing is if you bring a bottle of wine, and buy one from them, they will waive the corkage fee for that one bottle.

Love the wine displays dividing up the seating. Service is great! Our waitress was super kind and courteous. I liked how she gave her opinion on what we ordered. That tells you she's tried everything! The pacing of our food was perfect, giving us time to enjoy our appetizers before our dinner entrees arrived. They also didn't skimp on warm bread and olive tapenade. It was so good! But don't eat too much because their dinner portions are big. We ordered: San Vitor: My beautiful handcrafted pineapple cocktail. Delicious. Smoky. Strong. Clam Chowder: Omg! The presentation was amazing!! The chowder can stand all by itself with its flavor and real clams in shells - but with the bone marrow? Stop!! I die! Polpo Alla Griglia: Cooked perfectly with fantastic flavors. The sauce had kick! The potatoes were cooked well. Honestly, it was difficult to decide what to order for dinner because everything was described so deliciously on the menu. I wanted to try them all. The biggest hit was that their pasta is made in-house and cooked right! We ordered: CAPPELLACCI DI GRANCHIO - Excellent dish! It was a hit according to my hubby. Also recommended by our waitress. Filled with real crab and lots of it. RAVIOLI DI MAIS - simple corn ravioli but so wonderful. The corn filling was sweet yet savory. PAPPARDELLE CON BOLOGNESE DI MAIALE - Fantastic! It's like eating a fancy lasagna with amazing flavors. That burrata on top was so creamy. I had the special which was salmon and mushroom on green pasta. I don't know what it was called exactly but it was fabulous!!! The mushrooms sang, the flavors were well-balanced, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. For dessert, we shared the Flourless Chocolate Cake with a scoop of Pistachio Gelato. I died a second time during this meal. What a fantastic way to end our fabulous meal! I need to return and try more dishes. Seriously. Is it too soon to come back the next day?

Go out to brunch down at Pacific Grove and enjoy it at a leisurely pace when there are more locals than tourists. The weather was beautiful to enjoy a flavorful corn beef hash with poached eggs and Eggs Florentine Benedict outside under the Victorian facade of the house. Only note is I didn't see a price for the crab cake benedict so was surprised that it was over $30 when the receipt came. But I would definitely return, just maybe not for the crab cake benedicts unless I want a splurge. This spot is definitely worthy of my 1400 review and to take my childhood friend from back East for her favorite meal, brunch, the third time dining indoors. The service itself is organized well. But for this kind of pretentious presentation, the plates and silverware were not polished, with residue from dried water. I ordered duck medium-well, they brought it medium rare. The manager clearly noticed my surprise and offered to cook it more. I think that was a bad idea. The duck tasted as if it had been reheated on the second day. On top of that, it was completely drowned in a sauce that ruined the flavor. The side dish was obviously frozen, packaged vegetables and mashed potatoes with cheese. All of this together created a horrible composition. And even separately, everything tasted bad. My wife simply refused to say or write anything about the osso buco she ordered. What I liked: the bread was good, the olives were good, the orange in the duck they still managed to ruin. The service was good and friendly. What I didn't like: unpolished silverware with hard-water marks. Bottled beer only. I would fire the person who created the menu. The duck was simply terrible both individually and overall. And to the one who cooked it, I would suggest making burritos -- that would probably turn out better. Overall, good marketing, a pretty wrapper, and bad content. They spent money on marketing but didn't have enough left for a good chef and a kitchen team. After that, we went to the brewery next door and had an excellent pizza from a real Italian oven, with good -- not bottled -- beer. All at a price three times cheaper.
