Espresso Martini. Complimentary bread with garlic butter. So good!
Rhea Z.

Been in this area for 10+ years and my first time stepping into this place. Abs loveeee it. My husband and I stopped by on a Friday night around 7pm. No wait and wasn't busy. Seated right away. We opted for the table instead of the booth. They have seating for larger groups which is great. Our server was amazing. Other servers also checked up on us. Just fantastic. Now I saw some reviews saying they waited a while for their food, however our food came out in a timely manner and I thought was spaced out perfect for us. It gave us time to enjoy the apps along with being able to digest for a bit in between meals. Espresso Martini--delish with some Baileys. Baked Clams- they were good, but nothing crazy. Sesame Crusted Yellowfin Tuna- it was also good, but could be better for sure. Stars of the show for me were the porter house (med rare), the spinach, mash and the garlic butter with the complimentary bread. Steak was cooked perfect and just melted in your mouth. The sides complimented it so well. Garlic butter was amazing! Abs love how it's also kid friendly and will stop by to try more of the menu. This is where I'd come for steaks instead of the city for sure.

The service was professional and attentive. The old bay crab mac and cheese was beyond delicious and decadently appealing. The atmosphere is not fancy but it has a cozy and friendly feel. I'll definitely be coming back!

I've lived in Staten for about 38 years and finally got to this steak house. Had a show at the St. George which is a few blocks away We both started with French onion soup which had an off taste - like too beef bouillony. We both thought the same so I know it wasn't me. The wait for the entree was one hour - just too long. Filet mignon rare was good but I should have ordered very rare. Tasty spinach and mashed potatoes for the sides. My friend had the filet mignon steak salad which (the steak) came out cold The server was good but the wait was just too long. There's metered parking around which goes off at 7.

I really enjoyed my time here, I had lunch, we had the roast beef and steak a sandwich with homemade sweet potato fries and regular fries. When I say it was beyond delicious. Our cocktails were delightful and refreshing. Service was out of this world. I'll definitely be coming back!

The food was very good but my steak was a little too hard and too chewy, overall the service was amazing!, they were there to assist you with anything you'd like, the ambiance was amazing as well, I felt so comfortable in there! I am definitely coming here again!

We had reservations, but it seemed like the restaurant was overbooked, so instead of being seated in the main dining room, we were placed in one of the booths at the bar. At first, it wasn't exactly what we envisioned for such a special occasion, but the cozy atmosphere and overall vibe made it more than okay. Once we were settled, everything else completely exceeded our expectations. The service was exceptional. Our waiter was incredibly attentive and made us feel well taken care of, even in the busier bar area. And the food? Absolutely outstanding! I ordered the steak and lobster, and it was perfection on a plate. The steak was cooked to a beautiful medium-rare--juicy, tender, and full of flavor--and the lobster was buttery, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The combination of the two made for an indulgent and satisfying meal that I'll never forget. My husband went for the cowboy steak, and he was blown away by how perfectly it was prepared--seared on the outside with that smoky, charred crust but still tender and packed with flavor inside. He paired it with the sweet potato casserole, which he raved about so much that we ended up catering it for Thanksgiving that year! It was rich, creamy, and had just the right balance of sweetness and spice. Since I was pregnant, I couldn't drink, but the bartender went out of their way to make me a custom mocktail so I could still toast with my husband. It was such a thoughtful gesture and really elevated the evening for me. The drink was fruity, refreshing, and made me feel like I wasn't missing out at all. Despite the initial seating hiccup, Metropolis Steakhouse turned what could have been a disappointment into a night to remember. The food, service, and overall experience were phenomenal. We're already looking forward to coming back--hopefully in the dining room next time--to relive the magic. If you're looking for top-notch steak, excellent service, and a place that feels special, Metropolis is the spot to go. Highly recommend!

Option to sit at the bar (there are two bar booths) and then the dining room. We sat in the dining room. To start, we got the lobster bisque - creamy and delicious with pieces of lobster and potato. The serving was larger than I imagined! Perfect to share. At $17, the portion was right. For our entree, we got the rib eye for two cooked medium. Delicious!!! Sides of creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. The creamed spinach is veryyyy creamy, I almost wish there was more spinach but I can't complain because I love the cream. Mashed potatoes were tasty too. For dessert we got the hazelnut gelato. It had an ever so slight crunch to it which was SO GOOD. The only thing that I would love to see is a more robust wine selection. The server was attentive and made sure to ask if everything was okay several times throughout our visit. Happy I found this place, will be back again.

No bother, the lady upfront was nothing but kind. As we were seated, we were immediately taken care of. They give sour dough bread and butter to start, it was very good. I really liked my NY strip steak, it was well seasoned and fatty which was also good. I asked for a medium rare steak and they delivered as requested! As for their garlic bread, it's done on Italian bread and I absolutely loved it. A bit overdone on the baking, but delicious regardless. The burger was larger than I expected, and came with a crab cake too. Would definitely come again for their cuts of meat! What stood out to me the most was my kind server. Since I loved the sour dough and butter so much I asked for some to go. She then later came back with a whole loaf for me to take home!! I think her name was Darcy- she was so kind and I really appreciated the gesture. It's service like that which would bring customers to dine in more often, as I will for sure. Only issue at the end was the choice of payment being apple-pay. One server claimed they didn't take it, and Darcy corrected this and helped us to pay. Clear clarification would be greatly appreciated among all employees, rather than being told 2 different things. Great food, selective service, loved their interior design, and their bathroom was very well kept up as well.

We had a lovely night out with a couple who are our long time and good friends and we looked forward to this evening! However, there was a problem at the beginning of the evening that is unacceptable... my husband went to park the car, our friends were waiting at the bar for us, I walked in first. My friend ordered me an Aperol Spritz and my husband a diet coke. My husband does not drink and has been very successful with his sobriety for many years. The bartender, (I later found out her name is Maureen and apparently she is a manager there), misunderstood the drink order so my friend reiterated that we wanted a diet coke and an Aperol Spritz (two separate drinks). The "diet coke" arrived in a soda glass with a lemon wedge (just like a diet coke would) and the Aperol Spritz arrived in a cocktail glass. My husband took a sip of the "diet coke" and asked me if it tasted like there was liquor in it. Sure enough there was. We immediately returned it and the other bartender confirmed that it was a mix of Aperol Spritz with diet coke in the soda glass. My husband confronted the bartender and told her about her grievous mistaken and full disclosure, he said this is a "big f$%ken mistake you made". She took absolutely no responsibility for her error and shouted at him that she "was told to make a diet coke with Aperol Spritz". Truth be told, we clarified the drink order to her and why would she present the "diet coke" in a soda glass if it indeed was a cocktail. She went full "Karen mode" on him when she should have apologized. My request is that she re-trains in customer service and her ability to mix drinks! Like I said above, the food was excellent, the waiter was great, but this error is a serious error. People do make mistakes, but please acknowledge your mistakes and take care with serious issues. The dining experience was great, but I cannot give a 5 star due to the error.

Seating is limited, so patience is part of the experience. We did have fun at the bar while waiting. They had a more limited top-shelf liquor selection than expected, no Don Julio and no Disarrono Amaretto but the Fortaleza tequila was excellent and definitely worth ordering. Very clean tasting. When we finally sat, a few things on the menu stood out more than others. The bread service was good, though the "butter" felt more like a roux-style spread than a traditional butter and I wasn't a fan. The double baked potato was an absolute must-have...rich, flavorful, and honestly one of the best parts of the meal. The porterhouse, while cooked perfect, fell a little flat for me and didn't quite have the wow factor I expected but one could say that's how a steak is supposed to be- well cooked and the cut as the flavorful star. Nevertheless it was delicious. Overall, great atmosphere, solid experience, and that double baked potato alone is worth coming back for!

Interior design is so aesthetically pretty and provides a wonderful and elegant dining experience!…read moreThe service provided by Behrouz was attentive, friendly, and warm, which definitely helped enhance the dining experience! Now onto the main topic, the food: This is by far one of the better middle eastern/seafood restaurant in all of Staten Island! The appetizers that were amazing were the chargrilled octopus, which is a MUST-GET, and the half dozen oysters which was by far one of the sweetest oysters we ever had (it was so good we ordered 3 orders!) The tuna tartare, calamari, and lobster bisque were all decent but nothing too special. For entree, the lobster pasta was perhaps one of the best tomato based pasta I ever had! Although the amount of lobster in the dish was on the smaller amount for its price, the flavor was so savory, sweet, and perfectly tangy, highly recommend it! The sea bass was good according to my family, but the flavor was on the milder side in my opinion; they liked it nonetheless so perhaps it's just a personal preference at this point. The lamb shank I would not get due to how overpowering it was; the sauce was salty and intense, where it overwhelmed every part of the dish. It was unfortunate because the lamb was so tender and had a nice proportion between its meatiness and its fat content. The dry aged steak was only okay too, since the spinach was so watery it soaked the steak in its liquid (as you can see from the photo), which detracted from the dish unfortunately. Overall it was a decent dining experience, where some were amazing and others were less so. It's a pricey dining experience but if you get all the right dishes, it's worth the price tag! Definitely recommend giving Sea Bar a try and I can't wait to come back again one day to give them the five stars I know they can definitely accomplish! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:
