The service provided by Behrouz was attentive, friendly, and warm, which definitely helped enhance the dining experience! Now onto the main topic, the food: This is by far one of the better middle eastern/seafood restaurant in all of Staten Island! The appetizers that were amazing were the chargrilled octopus, which is a MUST-GET, and the half dozen oysters which was by far one of the sweetest oysters we ever had (it was so good we ordered 3 orders!) The tuna tartare, calamari, and lobster bisque were all decent but nothing too special. For entree, the lobster pasta was perhaps one of the best tomato based pasta I ever had! Although the amount of lobster in the dish was on the smaller amount for its price, the flavor was so savory, sweet, and perfectly tangy, highly recommend it! The sea bass was good according to my family, but the flavor was on the milder side in my opinion; they liked it nonetheless so perhaps it's just a personal preference at this point. The lamb shank I would not get due to how overpowering it was; the sauce was salty and intense, where it overwhelmed every part of the dish. It was unfortunate because the lamb was so tender and had a nice proportion between its meatiness and its fat content. The dry aged steak was only okay too, since the spinach was so watery it soaked the steak in its liquid (as you can see from the photo), which detracted from the dish unfortunately. Overall it was a decent dining experience, where some were amazing and others were less so. It's a pricey dining experience but if you get all the right dishes, it's worth the price tag! Sas efcharistó, this cute Greek vibe was a hit, came for my birthday dinner close to closing and the waiter BEHROUZ treated us like gold. all his recommendations were excellent (they have an amazing $50 prefix menu great with options). They offered hummus and bread--super fresh. Ohhh, Get the lobster bisque it had the biggest pieces of lobster I've ever seen in lobster bisque!!! The calamari were cooked to perfection. They had the grilled watermelon salad and beets apps also delicious . Bronzino that was given was a hearty amount. The drinks were on point. Don't waste your money or your time on this place!!!!overpriced inattentive and not tasty. I hate to leave bad or even negative reviews , but I have to warn others. The only good thing about this place is the nice ambiance and the busboys, they did the work of the waiters. Food was nothing special and overcooked and therefore overpriced. Yes don't judge we had ordered 2 steaks in a seafood spot, both overcooked, when notified the waiter once he decided to come over towards dessert time all I got was a sorry. One sorry for 2 steaks is enough. The other seafood dishes were also subpar, especially the $72 lobster special. Turned out to be half a lobster and some fish and clams, nothing to tell Nona. This newly opened seafood spot in this shopping center is geared towards Greek style cuisine. It is a huge restaurant that also has a private dining room. The bar area is immaculate. The staff are amazing. The drinks are flavorful. The food is delicious. I can brag about my whole meal, or you can try for yourself. The one menu item that stole the show for me was the fried popcorn shrimp basket. Wowwww, it was tender and not rubbery. Lightly battered but flavorful. Bite sized and hard to resist not popping them in one after another. The complimentary bread was charred which tasted amazing, but the side hummus kind of threw me off. You already have hummus on your appetizer menu so why give it away for free. I am BIG on extra virgin olive oil and bread. I mean, you're a Greek spot, olive oil is the way to go. We were seated quickly, given menus and offered dinner special menu. I did choose an item from the dinner special which after placing the order was told there was none left. Literally 3 items I ordered were not available. Had my family not ordered there food I would have left. The service they provided waa excellent, and what made them stand out even more was how friendly, accommodating, and welcoming they are. We happened to be there during game 4 of the Yankees world series and they offeres to us move closer to the TV, twice even! They never rushed us and allowed is to take our time and watch the game which was beyond appreciated. We talked to most of the people who worked there that evening and they are great. The food is also very good, I've been here twice now, once for brunch and then for dinner. I went with lobster based dishes both times (lobster Benedict and lobster pasta) and it was cooked perfectly each time. We also had the octopus appetizer this time for dinner and it was cooked very well and tasted delicious. Even their complimentary hummus with pita and bread is good and hard to stop eating. We also had this dessert that takes 20 minutes to make, well worth the wait, the vanilla custard inside it is delicious and the filo lovely and crispy. I also has the baklava during brunch cause I just can't pass it up when I see it, it was good too! The drinks are also really good and very creative. Had an incredible dinner here! The food was extremely fresh and the attention to detail and the plating of each dish was amazing! We started off with a Tableside Lobster Bisque that was delicious. This will certainly be a valentine's day that my parents and I will never forget.... I made reservations for 2 originally for 7:45PM, however I decided to treat my parents out for valentine's day as well. I called to update my reservation for a table of 4. The hostess told me that I would have to come at 8PM for a table of 4. I said it won't be a problem and she gave me an updated reservation for 8PM. We came before 8PM and was seated right away. Our order was taken by a very kind server on his notepad on his phone about 30 minutes in. Everything started out great but QUICKLY turned into a nightmare. Our drinks came about 30 minutes later, our ONE appetizer came about 2 and an half hour, and approaching the 3 hour mark - there was still no sign of our entrees. We asked for the bill and left. In addition to the 3 HOUR wait... there was NO server in sight for the first 2 1/2 hours. The man that took our order in the beginning just vanished and no one ever checked in with us until the last hour. ** I am very certain that our order was never placed to begin with since the table behind us who came in about an hour after us got all their food. They also had to wait nearly 2 hours for their drinks/appetizers/entrees. All the surrounding tables were complaining as well. This was the first valentine's day that my parents had in more than 10 years and they were so patient because I really wanted to leave, but I stayed for them. They insisted to stay and wait for their food since they were excited to have a dine-in experience. Seabar was such a disappointment!! To add on... after waiting 2 an a half hours for our appetizer (calamari). We had to ask for it 3x before receiving it. I'm sure something did happen at the restaurant cause the hostess ended up being a server towards the end. However, she was rude by telling us to be a bit more understanding and patient because they were understaffed. EXCUSE ME? We waited patiently for 2 and a half hour for just one appetizer, WHICH came out warm and soggy. If we never voiced to the staff about the appetizer would it have ever came? ALSO, how is it the customers fault that the restaurant was understaffed? Why did they keep taking restorations then? I saw they kept taking reservations after us and I am sure they did not disclose the situation to the customers because everyone ended up frustrated like us. To make it up to us - They gave us pita bread and hummus to all the tables. Guess what? All the pita bread were burnt, but my mom was so hungry that she ate some of it. My heart aches seeing a wholesome moment for my parents turn into a horrible experience. I could go on and on about how bad the night went.. In summary, this restaurant had horrible customer service and from what we ate.... inhumane to pass out burnt food and make your customers pay for soggy food after making them wait hours for it. Sea Bar boasts an absolutely beautiful interior, it truly evokes the charm of the Mediterranean! The meal begins with complimentary grilled pita bread and hummus, excellent flavors. Service is friendly and well-paced. Note that it does get loud in the space so it makes conversation a little difficult. My sister and I ordered the Five Spreads Pikilia and Fried Calamaria for appetizers, I had the Colossal Grilled Shrimp entrée and she had the Shrimp Basiate, and we shared Gelato (1 scoop baklava and 1 scoop Fig) for dessert. The Five Spreads encompassed 5 dips of hummus, spicy feta, almond garlic, tzatziki, and carp caviar. They were not created equal. The carp caviar (taramosalata in Greek) flavor was off balance with what tasted to be excessive mayonnaise and it had been overly blended to the point where it had zero texture. I did not enjoy that at all and couldn't finish it. The tzatziki had mediocre flavor. On the other spectrum, the hummus, spicy feta, and almond garlic (skordalia) had lovely flavors. You are better off ordering those three individually, or just the spicy feta if you like heat (it really is spicy!) and the almond garlic as the table does get served free hummus. The fried calamari we received were unfortunately not crispy but did taste fresh and the marinara sauce was good. My Colossal Grilled Shrimp was grilled too much and the shrimp had dried out. On the other hand, the mashed potatoes side dish was phenomenal! My sister informed me that her Shrimp Basiate was overpowered by bell peppers in the sauce, so that tempered her enjoyment. The baklava gelato and fig gelato blew my mind they were soooo good! If I'd known in advance, I wouldn't have shared, haha. For drinks, I had a Sunrise Margharita that was very strong. I couldn't even taste the pineapple and grenadine flavoring, I just tasted alcohol. So, if you like strong drinks, that's a bonus for you. If you prefer better made balanced cocktails like me, then you may choose to pass. All in all, it was a pleasant evening, and you will enjoy yourself in this scenic paradise. read more

If you're thinking about dining here on a special occasion--think again. We visited on Valentine's Day, expecting a wonderful experience, but it was anything but. Every table was waiting endlessly for food, and complaints could be heard all around. We waited over two hours for our meals, which is simply unacceptable. That being said, when the food finally arrived, it was exceptional, as were the drinks. But great food doesn't make up for poor service. The staff seemed overwhelmed, inattentive, and unbothered by the long waits. No updates, no apologies--just frustration. No bread either. Nothing to compensated anyone. If you don't mind waiting for amazing food, go for it. But if good service matters to you on a holiday , I'd suggest looking elsewhere, especially on a busy night. read more

My wife and I went there for a Valentine Day lunch. Unbeknownst to us they had a fantastic fixed price week day menu. $49 per person for appetizer, main dish and desert. The apps were a in my opinion not downsized , I had grilled sardines ,she had air loom beets with a garlic aioli. Both awesome. For our mains she had the Grouper fillet with rice and asparagus and I had the pork chop with hot cherry peppers,again dishes were large and delicious. Lastly dessert, both excellent.
