Best restaurant in Charlotte, by far. Flavor packed food. We got: Appetizer - 5 Pieces Pakora (like spicy chicken nuggets). I liked the 2 sauces that came with it. Chicken Tikka Kebab. Came in a cast iron pan. Not too spicy, good for my 12 yo son. Butter chicken (not too spicy) Special Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani some pieces of chicken on top, then a large amount of delicious rice then slow cooked dark meat fall off the bone chicken at the bottom. Huge portion. Special Hyderabadi Goat Dum Biryani was amazing as well. Both of those dishes do not have sauce. So, we ordered 2 tikki masala sauces on the side. 2 Large gravy boats of sauce. This was my favorite part of the meal. I poured it on everything. Creamy, similar to the butter chicken sauce but a little spicier. 1 Garlic Naan 1 Butter Naan We should have gotten 2 garlic naans instead. Best Naan we've had in a while. Freshly made. Service was awesome. Restaurant is brand new and clean. We moved here from the west coast where there are tons of Indian food restaurants and have been on the search for a good one. Found it!!! Everything is fresh, clean, and new at this smartly designed Hyderabadian restaurant. The menu is extensive and there are little nuances with the colors and flavors of the dishes compared to the usual Indian restaurants. Instead of getting a plain bottle of water, we were served water that was infused with what tasted mainly like cucumber. Very refreshing. I ordered tandoori chicken, garlic naan, and raita. The raita had a slight pink tinge to it which was unique. The tandoori chicken came out sizzling in a small iron skillet very reminiscent of fajitas. It did take a bit longer to come out than the dishes of my colleagues but the flavor didn't disappoint. I would have preferred a spicier chicken but the flavor was still very good. Also, the portion was a little small. I'm used to getting six pieces of chicken when I order tandoori but only four were provided in this order. They really accommodated us with To Go packaging which I really appreciated. Definitely worth coming back to in the future. read more

We have been here 3-4x. Gobi is fantastic, we had manchurian Corn, delicious bread, service is great. Pretty much whole restaurant is taken care of by one of the owners, and everything comes quick and fresh and hot. We appreciate such great food, and the perfect spice level for everyone. The leasing agent of the Promenade needs to put up a little better signage so folks can find this place. We are so lucky there are delicious Indian restaurants to go to nearby. The food is just TOP NOTCH! its fresh and hot....so wonderful We had the GOBI agian...Two orders..could of eaten three , so crispy and wonderful1 Had the Green Chili Paneer - spicy and sumptuous! The Crispy Corn was just incredible with every kernel fried. The Dal Makani was rich and creamy. We had four orders of different Naans, Buttered, Garlic, Bullet , and a Onion stuffed one! Noticed this restaurant on social media and being a big fan of Indian food, I wanted to check it out as it is close to home. The food was excellent!! Naan bread was one of the best I have had and the butter chicken although a little light on the spice was also very good and had flavor hints above the usual that made the dish different than the usual fair from the typical Indian restaurants. The samosas were excellent and the sauces were fantastic (we wanted more!). This place is a hidden gem and worth tracking down for a savory and satisfying meal. The portions are large and I would recommend going up on the spice meter if you like to taste the heat. read more

My wife and I are staying at the hotel right next door the Fairfield Inn, which was also a fantastic place and experience, we were there because our air-conditioning unit died and it was approximately 95° in our home. I was dropping off my dog at Pet Folk yesterday and saw this new restaurant. I didn't feel like cooking and we love Indian so why not right? This is new and right down the street. The food was not authentic, all of the dishes we ordered tasted so strange. The malai kofta was flavored with only salt and pepper. The naan was flat and very chewy. This was our first time at Ruchi and we will be returning with all our friends! The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming, plus the restaurant is very clean. They have outdoor seating available & will serve alcohol soon. The hostess was so friendly and helpful when we ordered our meals. Their spice level is 1-10, I got a mild 3 and my husband went for a 5. We were both pleased. For appetizers we got the Indian salad and samosas. Both were fresh & flavorful. My husband asked for a modification to his meal and the chef was happy to accommodate . We ordered rice and garlic naan to go with our entrees, Chicken Tikka Masala & Mutar with lamb. We just went for our second visit- which was as good as the first or maybe even better. Our server was wonderful and remembered us and even remembered our favorite drinks. If you've never had Indian food before, don't be scared! The food was fantastic, and they will help you order. When we walked in, we smelled this amazing aroma and asked what it was. So, we started with a paneer appetizer with onions and garlic. It was delicious! Then we ordered the lamb saag, which I'd never had before, and it was so tender and flavorful. You can't go wrong with chicken tikka masala, and it was so good, that when I had the leftovers for lunch today, I ate it standing up... no wasting time to prepare a place to sit!
