The coffees are watered down brown water. The " breakfast " is not that good either. We ordered the big breakfast, mom breakfast and avocado toast. It was mediocre at best. Came for the Aebleskivers and they did not disappoint! I got the Peaches 'n Cream and it was soooo delicious. Generous portion of fluffy goodness and drizzled with a good amount of peaches and cream. We also ordered the Red, White, and Blue; and the Nutella one; both were devoured quickly. We also ordered a couple sandwiches to split. I got the Grilled Turkey Pesto, sooo yummy! Also the cute blonde that took our order was sooo sweet and helpful, I wish I would have caught her name to give her a true shout out. The outdoor seating was great and perfectly shaded. Disappointed, especially after seeing all the hype for Ruca's. The avocado toast was nearly tasteless, I'll never get it again. As for the raspberry Æbleskivers - there was practically no crème inside, the raspberries were super sour, and they tasted old like rancid oil. This place is perfect. I love ebelskivers so much and grew up eating them on special occasions. This place is cute and has lots of seating outside and the service is fast and the food is fresh. The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant a drove 2 hours just to have these on a Saturday morning because this place is so good. Everything is delicious and I don't think you can go wrong I've now tried all the breakfast options. I do lean towards the Nutella and strawberries because I love that combo. This place was nice! Quick service and a cool outdoor environment. We came for breakfast and my husband got the parfait and thoroughly enjoyed it! His favorite part were the larger chunks of granola and the freshness of the fruit. He wished there was more granola though. Overall, he'd give it an 8.5/10. I ordered the avocado toast without the tomatoes (not an heirloom fan). Everything was good, but I think it desperately needed salt / pepper or some sort of light seasoning. The balsamic glaze was great, but the blandness of the unseasoned egg and avocado was a little overwhelming. I also ordered a hot white chocolate mocha, and it was super sweet and very delicious. While not the perfect duplication of an Abelskiver it was fabulous! Could not get enough of their razzle dazzle one! So fresh and yumo. But I thought it was only 2 per order it was lots so you could share with 2-3 people( rich). That being said I also ordered half a sandwich which comes with chips. The turkey pesto panini was one of the best I have ever had. A must stop in Garden City for sure.you order and then sit at an outside table. Stopped by Ruca's on our way to Jackson. It has a nice beachy vibe and friendly staff. We ordered a caprese sandwich which was made with fresh ingredients and was good. We also ordered peach aberskivels which took a long time and they had forgotten our order. The owner gave us a partial refund and apologized for the mistake so it was all good. The peach ones were good but the family thought they would have liked nutella better. The restroom was also super clean. read more

Ruca's! .... I think we are off to the start of a wonderful friendship. We have a place in Bear Lake and are you there often. We have just now given them a try. Waited far too long!!!! Foolish. LOL We stopped by last Saturday to give them a try. It was fantastic. Of course I had to try their Æbelskivers (danish pancake balls). It might sound boring... but I like to stick close to the basics for my toppings - butter and maple syrup. So...for me, no strawberries, no Nutella, no whip cream. (Which the Mrs. absolutely loved! And admittedly, it looked amazing). They have a bunch of patio tables with umbrellas and great music playing. The views and surrounding are beautiful and exactly what one would seek on a Saturday morning, while relaxing at Bear Lake. The staff is friendly and take the time to make sure the presentation of what you order is top notch. If you happen to find yourself in Garden City and looking for a great place to have breakfast or a quick afternoon/evening bite... be sure to give them a try!! You will enjoy the visit. First time at Ruca's and here are my thoughts: Roast Beef sandwich - disappointing. Had a half piece of cheese on it and some deli meat. It tasted really plain and needed something more to it for me to pay the price they ask. I make better at home. Do not recommend Ruca sandwich- this has a kick to it for sure. The turkey meat is super yummy. Good sandwich Razzle Dazzle- this is what this place is all about. They were super yummy. I wish they had a bit more of the cream cheese sauce in them but what a tasty treat. This is what will bring us back here. The set up is really nice. Fun relaxing music. Comfy and shaded seating. Even amid the COVID rules, this was a great breakfast stop on our last day at Bear Lake. They were very diligent in observing COVID guidelines, and they had all the tables spaced out to safe distancing standards. The specialty, Danish pancakes, were amazing! (Hint, the serving is huge, so you probably won't have room for much but them!) They have several variations, and I went with the berries. They use only fresh berries, and they were wonderful. Came here because of the 4 1/2 star reviews... extremely disappointed, were given an estimated time of 10min for shakes and 45 min for food, shakes took closer to 40min, food was over 1 1/2 hours... I wouldn't necessarily been upset since I was with good company.... but one of our sandwiches had a nice moldy surprise. Hands down the slowest service in the area... and the lackluster sandwiches were not worth the long wait. Update... 2 of our meals never came out.... friends waited over 2 hours and still go the wrong order. All I can say is don't be sorry... be better. Wow - 25 minute+ wait - even for coffee. It is exciting you got a very large order of coffee, waffles and abelskevers, but to turn off first time customers due to poor logistical planning is not good for long term business. With large orders - consider reserving a small portion of the kitchen for regular orders to keep things moving. We considered going to the several other breakfast places we have been to many times and never had much of a wait - even with the local crepe place. We wanted to support a new local business, but aren't sure if this experience today was abnormal or what can be expected. We will question if we chance encountering the same experience or stick with our other tried and true favorites in town. Update: We had nothing going on this morning. So we waited the 30 minutes. Well worth the wait. Recommended. Will be back. Another update: Based upon the professional and understandable response from the owner (plus the amazing and unique food offering) upping my review to 5 star. It did look like they had a lot of family working - which is good to know family will step up when needed. It is hard to control when staff is not dependable. Fully recommending.
