For being in the middle of nowhere (or on your way to Bear Lake from Evanston), this place is worth the stop. There isn't much in this town, so the rating takes that into consideration. (In that case, it'd be 5 stars since it's the only game in town.) The staff is friendly, place is clean, and menu has plenty of options for everyone. We came during COVID-19, so every other table was unavailable, but we ended up in the second dining area all by ourselves (6 adults and 2 kids). The chicken tenders were really juicy and onion rings a plenty. I couldn't get over how great the fries were, so much that I'd go out of my way to stop again just for those. Wished that the beef patties were more medium rare, but they had decent flavor. Buns are soft and the toppings fresh.

Formerly "The Gator" and with an equally unfortunate name, this is place is as straightforward as a small town can give. Burgers and fries and ice cream. The inside is fun and well done and was MUCH needed. It is very clean and modern. The pickled asparagus is delicious AND they even have a VEGAN BURGER!!! Their salads are pretty amazing too. Better than what I've found in Garden City. This is AMAZING for such a small town. This is a great place to stop!! Good place good food!

Great food at reasonable prices. Home cut fries. It is a cheaper option if you are going to or coming from Bear Lake.

We were seated at a table in far end of the room. Once seated it's hard to get in and out from the wall seat because the table are pretty close together. I ordered the Spinach, Mushroom and Swiss 4 Egg Omelet. They asked me if I wanted 2 or 4 eggs and I chose 4. As a substitute for the potatoes, I opted to choose the avocado which came as a slice 1/2 of avocado. For my toast option, I chose the single pancake, but could also have chosen a scone. The scone wasn't on the menu as a option, so I missed this when I ordered. My omelet was very flavorful, although a bit dense. I attributed that to the 4 eggs fitting into a 2 egg form factor, but I really don't know that for sure. The avocado was a good complement to the omelet and worked out very well. The pancake was delicious. There was syrup on the table and butter came on the plate. I gobbled it right down and thought that I maybe should have got another one. I have eaten here before when I was in the area, and will likely return again when up here. The busy nature of the restaurant is offset by the good quality food.

We walked in at about 9:40 pm. The kitche closes at 10. We wouldn't have been surprised to be turned away, but the wonderful woman covering the bar and kitchen, forties, glasses, dark hair, was very friendly and gracious. She also took excellent care of us, despite really having to hustle. I had the pulled pork tacos and my wife had the teriyaki wings. The tacos(I ordered two)were stuffed with pulled pork that was very tasty, and came with crema, a sweet relish salsa, and cheese(a slight upcharge). My tacos came with tortilla chips that were crispy and well salted. My wife liked her wings. If we're passing through again, we would definitely stay in Evanston and have a meal at Lincoln Highway Tavern.

Some locals were playing pool and the waitress treated us like we were in that same category. Onto the food - they server two mains, burgers and hot dogs. We both went with the burgers. Cooked perfectly and we savored every bite. The wife went with a double cheeseburger with bacon and I went with the classic Star burger - two patties and a krautwurst. Notably my wife doesn't like bacon all that much but she ate every single bite of the double burger and did not even give me wee bit of bacon. Chips were chips, just fine. It is a cash only (and Venmo) and they even have an ATM, just in case. Have not seen one of those outside of Vegas in years. Can't say enough good things about stopping in to grab a burger or dog, soak up the atmosphere and just relax for it. Comprehensive beer menu but we did not partake that day.

If you go, take alcohol wipes, and wait until afternoon. They should be able to keep up after the brunch lunch crowd finishes. We saw three groups leave disgusted while we were there.
