I went with a group and they handled us very well with rotation and combinations. I had the massage and facial combination, Cassie was amazing. I wish I had gotten a double massage. The facial was ok but it's not a service I normally indulge in and there wasn't anything fantastic about it or different that would make me want to get another. The place is very tranquil and relaxing. A variety of teas were offered, mimosas and fruit infused water. The area we waited in as a group was nice. I am a detail person and wish that instead of house slippers that they had spa slippers and matching robes. Most rooms the robes matched but with my luck the ones in our room didn't. The were comfortable robes but just wasn't the quality I am use to at a spa. Overall I would return for the massage. They were priced well and it's a place I would use again if I am in the area. I was looking to get a facial for my teenage son before "back to school" because football season always does a number on his skin. I read the reviews for many places online before settling on Rubyz. We showed up for his first ever facial on a Saturday and he was a little hesitant and unsure what to expect but Ruby made him feel extremely comfortable and talked him through the whole process. She is very knowledgeable about skincare and gave us some great recommendations on how to care for his skin during football season. I got a Groupon for 50 minutes facial and 50 minutes Swedish massage for $69. I did not have high expectations given the price but hey it was a fab deal so I couldn't help myself. Upon getting there I was overwhelmed by incense or rose perfumes. It was giving me a headache- not a good start. The massage was perhaps the most painful and uncomfortable one I've had in my life. I had to tell the lady to ease up a few times and still I felt I was being pummeled. I was literally hoping it would be over soon. I was soooo relieved when it was finally over- there was not an ounce of relaxation in me. The facial was OK. I treated my family to an outing here; my daughters got as well as myself got Henna tattoos and my spouse received a Medical Massage and Male Facial. The ambiance is very soothing and the staff was very friendly. My spouse loved his massage and his facial. I noticed an difference in his appearance immediately. His skin was clear and his under eye was visibly brighter. I've had facials before and I've never seen a difference immediately after. During my appointment I emphasized on my pain areas with my massage therapist and I'm here to tell you that I only wish that I had made my appointment lot sooner. The place was super clean and from the owner to all the staff was super friendly. They listened and showed me a great deal of respect , courtesy and professionalism. Oh and my pain it's all gone. I love this place. I've been going for about two years now, I've received facials, massages, wraps and I go once or twice a week to use the infrared sauna. The owner has been very accommodating on several occasions. She has literally met me at the spa on days when the spa is closed or after hours to let me use the sauna. She is always friendly as is the staff. I stopped in today to use the sauna and the entire place has been renovated and it looks incredible. I honestly didn't think it needed it, it was always clean, relaxing and what you would expect when visiting a spa. The renovations look awesome. In my opinion this is a hidden gem in Frisco. My husband got me a package for Mother's Day for a hour long facial and hour long massage. The massage was not bad, but she was very hard, and I was wincing several times. I told her to go lighter and it didn't make a difference. The lights in the massage room were so bright and I was laying face up for most of it, with the light blinding my eyelids. After asking if it could be turned down, and being told no, I was offered a "eye pillow" which was basically a bean bag I laid on top of my eyes, no band like a face mask. The CD player also seemed to not be working, so there was no calming music playing. The masseuse tried to fix it, to no avail, and wasted 5 minutes of my time. The facial was the worse of it. The owner did it, and I guess their receptionist had called in that day, so she left 5-7 times to answer the phone while doing my "relaxing" facial. She initially tried to up-sell me a different package for $40 more. So thankful I declined. Every time she left and came back, the hot towel on my face was stone cold. At the end she slapped on some cinnamon plumping gloss ( which I can't stand cinnamon) and it was not even applied right, like half on my face not lips, and then she rushed out. I felt very rushed, and it was over after 45 minutes ( not an hour), let alone the fact that I probably missed out on an additional 15 minutes worth due to her constantly leaving the room. It was the worse facial I have ever had, and will never return. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Ever. read more

I found Rubyz online while hunting a good salon in Frisco area. We spend A large amount on our skin, it's very important to trust your esthetician, in a safe clean environment. When I made the appt I wanted a facial and detox body wrap. I am getting over an upper respiratory infection so I thought that would be helpful. When I called, she made a suggestion for massage, so I booked that as well. She was not forceful, just informative on why she suggested that. I agreed. She was very polite. I want to note the reason I chose Rubyz instead of my other spa was because their website was really nice and informative. They have a wide array of wraps and massages, facials, peels, sauna etc. I arrived right on time. Filled out a couple sheets about myself and changed into a robe to sit in the sauna for 20min. As soon as I arrived I saw the variety of salts, lotions and skin care for retail sale and I knew I picked a great spot. Several items I use at home on a weekly basis for detox, aches etc. if you have ever had a massage or wrap you know how imortantbwater your water consumption is. They consistently give you water and make sure you are doing ok or if you needed the bathroom. I liked the rooms bc it had room for two treatments. Two beds etc. that's always helpful to know bc that means you can accommodate it into your ladies day with a friend. I first did a detox wrap (first time). It was amazing! You get bundled up in hot wet wrap that has been soaked in herb and oils that smell amazing but they help your body detox toxins. Very relaxing and effective. I was literally sweating so much out by the end. That really prepared my body for a good massage. My skin was so soft and I was so relaxed. My massage therapist was very friendly, professional and helped me out a ton. She helped me breath better and clear up my infection with certain scented oils. Then I went for a facial with the owner. I cannot tell you how much I adore her. She is from Pakistan and uses organic products that smell awesome and work really really well. I have oils skin and m trying to get it recovered from a bad hormonal season. She didn't fuss and she didn't say it was hopeless. She explained to me what she was doing and using each time, told me she could help and advised on what to use. Again- it was not a forceful sale, it was a suggestion. She also upgraded my facial, allowed me to use a groupon deal and have me extra samples. Usually someone says come back in a couple weeks, she said just once a month and begin to exfoliate, that's pretty much it. I bought all three products she suggested, you only get one face. The Products are from Hungary and they are organic, which I love. We chatted, she didn't pressure me to make another appt or but anything more than what I needed. The owner really is very sweet, she cares, she is accepting of your flaws and wants to help in the best way. She won't advise something you do not need. I found a real gem at Rubyz. I was hesitant at first because from the outside, it looks like a plain storefront and rather small. Once inside, things were neat and nicely decorated. I was warmly greeted by Ruby, the owner and sat in the relaxation room. I was offered to help myself to green tea/water and some valentines day cookies. The glasses were dusty, but once mentioned, they were taken away with an apology and a clean one was brought to me. The cookies were fresh and yummy. My appointment began on time and Shawna, my therapist was introduced to me. I began with my detox body wrap. This wrap was one large thin blanket-like material that was placed on the bed and I was wrapped up in as opposed to having each limb individually wrapped. I recommend getting onto it as fast as you can stand because the heat loses quickly but once wrapped up, it warms again because of trapped body heat. The therapist came to check on me 10-15 mins into the treatment, as promised, and I was barely awake so she quietly exited again and returned after the 50 minutes was over. I was promptly moved to the next bed, which was nice since I didn't have to redress/switch rooms for my back facial. The back treatment was substituted for the massage since there was not a massage therapist there at that time. I had called to schedule my appointment a mere two hours before I came in and the treatment was offered to me via phone so I thought that was a great idea. The back facial was nice- I had never had one before so I can't comment too much since I wasn't sure what to expect. Shawna collected my clothes into a basket for me and was very patient with me as I had to use the restroom a few times. Next was my facial, which Ruby did for me. She was very nurturing and offered a great $20 upgrade to my microdermabrasion which I will do my best to describe as an organic paprika deep pore warming mask. She did have to leave the room once due to a customer no-showing for a massage, which she apologized for but I didn't mind. The facial was very relaxing and she did a good job on the extractions; her technique was gentile and professional. I was impressed so far, so I decided to get a massage from the therapist that had shown up at this time and had the client cancel on her. The massage therapists name was Danielle and she was a bright girl that did a wonderful massage for me. She was very in-tune with my needs and did a complete job of all my trouble areas. She recommended some stretches for me and we had a good conversation as well. I much enjoyed the decoration of the massage room, which was laid out in matching bright blue colors. Overall, I was very impressed. I was not expecting much given my first outside glance at the spa and the incredible deal offered on groupon for their services. I was never rushed and each service was done on time. I could not hear the music in the rooms, but I do not have good hearing and I was so relaxed it didn't cross my mind to ask for it to be turned up. There was a sign that 20 percent tip will be added to each service, but my card was not charged the extra amount. I paid most my therapists in cash. All my things were brought to each room so I didn't have to keep track of them and I was given a thick and comfy robe to wear between rooms. I went to Rubyz to use a couples spa day. After reading the reviews on here I was almost afraid to go at all but I had a wonderful expereince. I found Ruby to be extremely helpful in the booking process. They were booked until April but Ruby continually checked in with me when there was a cancellation to see if I would like to get in sooner. The location itself was beautiful and romantic. I was kind of suprised to find that the "hot sauna" that was advertised was a small 2 person sauna in the corner of the waiting room but when we got into it it was actually very cozy. They closed off the waiting room with curtains and turned the lights down low to allow an intimate moment with my mate before we began our massage. Our therapists were fantastic! They kept a nice banter in the beginning to make my boyfriend more at ease because it was his first professional massage and the techniques that were used on my shoulders were extremely helpful for my chronic pain.
