Tied the whole plate together. Then I got the PIM burger. Spicy pimento cheese, applewood smoked bacon, and bacon jam. Sounds like a lot going on, but they balanced it right. Every bite was solid. Paula was my server and did a great job. Stayed on top of everything and my tea never got low. Good food, good service. I'll be back.

On this evening, I met an old friend and we were greeted and seated fairly quickly despite there being a full house. Our waiter was a little 'spaced out', but he was fast, efficient, and effective. He was extremely attentive and gave stellar recommendations from the menu. I had the Naan Chicken Philly. It was delicious. Not to mention, the gulf shrimp were an excellent appetizer as well. Troy is lucky to have an establishment like this and I look forward to stopping through again, soon. Don't pass through Troy without giving it a try.

For clarity, au poivre literally means "with pepper" -- the classic French preparation features a steak crusted in cracked peppercorns, seared, and finished with a brown Cognac-and-peppercorn reduction made from the pan drippings. Nowhere should a simple Alfredo-style cream sauce be called "au poivre." For the upcharge, I was expecting authenticity and depth of flavor, not a misrepresentation. The service was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant, but my first visit also had issues -- my wife actually found a piece of plastic from a salad bag in her salad. Mistakes happen, but after two visits, it's hard to overlook the lack of attention to detail.
