The best of the two Ruby Tuesdays in Lumberton was closed a couple of years ago. I'll never understand why they chose to close that one. The food was better. The atmosphere was friendlier and I never had to worry about the quality of food. This Ruby Tuesday on Fayetteville is inconsistent. The hostess didn't like the look of us or something because she told us that the wait was 25 minutes and that there were no tables. This information was mumbled to us through a mask, so when we asked her to repeat how long the wait was, she mumbled, "I don't know, when somebody gets up." It takes real talent to mumble and come off as snotty, AND to avoid eye contact and glare at the same time, but she managed it. We had a great Mexican lunch at San Jose a few doors down. read more

You won't ever mistake this restaurant for a fast food joint. Lunch service took 45 minutes to get our food, and it wasn't that busy. The server claimed that it was because they were backed up with the burger lunch special, but if that were the case, they really should have planned better. My wife and I had an unpleasant experience here on Saturday evening. We were told that the wait would be 15-20 minutes. After 30 minutes, my wife checked the status and was told by the young lady that my name was called and I didn't respond it. It was a lie. We sat next to where she stood for the entire 30 minutes. She either called a wrong name or did not call my name at all. When asked how much more time we would wait for the next table, she simply said "I am not sure". Is this the service a client deserves? Worse Ruby Tuesday salad bar I've ever seen. If you are hoping to enjoy a fresh and satisfying salad, keep on driving up or down 95 and avoid this Lumberton location. We have had good experiences in the past, but the most recent visits we have paid them have not been too pleasant. We have either had to argue with the waitress over a flub on the receipt or have had to bite the bullet on a forgotten portion of our meal. We ordered the shrimp fondue one time, which we always have, and it never arrived. We didn't bother asking about it because by the time we had realized it, our entrees had already arrived. Another time, we came in with two coupons for our meal for 2, and the ticket was still $30+. Overpriced for what we can get elsewhere. Probably am not going to go back to this particular establishment, IF we even decide to give the chain another try at all. read more

Noticed 2 servsafe certificates on the wall and a 96.5 sanitary rating, but I would think that the hot the inspector drunk before he inspected this place. Very dirty. My wife and I went to this restaurant on a Sunday around 6pm. There wasn't many customers, and no wait. Well, it wasn't long before we figured out why. We were seated and the waitress came just a few minutes later and got our drink orders. She came back a few minutes after that and took our food orders. My wife got the salad bar and then had to wait 20 minutes before another waitress came by and asked if she needed silverware. The whole time our waitress made eye contact with my wife several times but never came to the table. Of note, we are white and there was a table next to us with 4 black people. Our waitress went to them several times to refill drinks and whatever else they needed. There was an elderly white man sitting by himself and he had to ask several times for her to come to his table. Then, when the food finally came, my steak was not cooked medium like I requested. It wasn't bad till I got toward the middle and then it was raw and bleeding. I had to wait about 10 minutes before the waitress came back by and to her credit she was nice and took my plate back and got me a whole new plate which was cooked perfectly. Despite the waitress being really nice she didn't give us the attention we felt was adequate, yet gave the other table her undivided attention. We will not be going back there. read more

I ordered a shared appetizer, which was good and a bit salty so I drank my glass of tea. I had also ordered the steak with a side baked potato, the potato was awful. It was hard and not hot at all but I endured it and finished my meal with no tea I remind you. I kept looking for the waitress so I could get a refill but with no luck. Customer service is a hit or miss. Never consistent. I have waited to be seated for 13 mins Max during lunch. And on top of that employees walking back and forth and not even saying hey. This rating is due to several issues. First waited 20+ minutes for waiter. Secondly, I ordered a Cajun ribeye and got a regular ribeye and I ordered med rare got well done after about another 20 minutes. Very nice people but changed to hamburger bc said it would be done quicker. Busy but not over bearishly so. Lot of wait staff. Just slow and quality of steak seems to have gone down. We are local and have eaten at both local locations often. Wife got ny strip but just not as good a quality as other steak houses in town. Probably last visit. One reason I come here is for the Garden Bar. Today, it is pitiful and disappointing. Many items are wilted and soggy. This is something many customers walk past. It should be representative of the food you will receive. Manager was aware. I still paid full price for my meal. read more

Stopped in last night at 9pm on our way north. The restaurant was 1/3 full. The hostess had her back to the door and was drinking a soda , not noticing us for 3-4 minutes. After being seated , no one came to the table for 10 min. It was hard to tell who worked there , as not everyone had a uniform on. There was a broom against the table next to us and tables left uncleared. The place was very messy and it seemed as if no one was in charge. The salad bar was messy with spilled salad all over the ice. Our food was ok, but this restaurant clearly needs new management. We will go to Outback next time, They are much better. read more

If you want great service - Do Not Come Here! My wife and I went there to eat for lunch and ordered a minis combo which includes a plate of minis and the salad bar. We ordered out drink and went to get our salad. When we came back, our drinks were not there. In fact our drinks didn't arrive until we were almost finished with our main dish. We asked for the check and when it came the server asked us if we had a pen. I told her no and she gave me one to use. I never look at my bill but this time I did and to my surprise we were overcharged for a salad. I brought this to the attention of the server and she said that my wife's order did not come with a salad. Oh well, we paid and were ready to leave. Right at the exit, I saw a menu and decided to make sure that I did not get screwed for $3. Guess what, I did get screwed. I asked for a manager and she cam and I explained to her what happened and she said she would take care of it. We waited for a few minutes while she went somewhere and we just decided to f*(k it and left. We were there for an hour by the way. I sent an email to corporate and they responded that they got my email and that they would follow up with me but it has been 2 days and nobody has called me back. I have never stiffed a server, but I should have stiffed this one. On January 01, 2018 I went to Ruby Tuesday on Fayetteville Road, Lumberton NC. Our food took about 45 minutes or more to come out to us. I ordered the Double Decker which consisted of 2 piece of chicken and 2 sides. When I cut into the chicken, I noticed that it was faded pink, I asked the host was it done and she confirmed yes. After eating almost all the first chicken breast, I got to the middle and it was undone. I asked for the manager and she came over. I immediately became sick. I went home and it got worse. I came to work not feeling at all at 100%. I will be taking this further. read more

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Our entire experience at this Ruby Tuesday was terrible except our waitress. My family ate a late lunch there on December 23rd on our way to Florida. The Ruby Tuesday near us in New Jersey is pretty decent, but this was not. The building & inside is dingy & not clean. The maître d' wasn't friendly at all & had an attitude when we requested a different table than the one we were shown even though the restaurant was only 20% full. My margarita tasted like salt water with no margarita mix. I sent it back immediately and got a beer instead. My turkey club was the worst one I ever had & was missing the mayo. My daughter's ribs were very stringy and dry. I forget what my wife had, but she didn't care for it either. Our waitress was nice. I will never eat at this location ever again & will hesitate to eat at a Ruby Tuesday on the road given their wildly inconsistent quality control. read more
