My wife and I went here to celebrate an Anniversary, They did not give me what I had seen the ads for online, but said they vwere out..a special kebab. My wife's food was too salty, and the waitress said they had already had some complaints about that. The DID comp my wife's meal and said in a return email that they were sorry and would make it right by sending a giftcard for future meal. Two months go by, no gift card. Again contacted local restaurant and said they would get right on it. Now 4 months later, no contact nor gift card. Corporate did nothing about it either. I cannot recommend this one to anybody. read more

We were coming in knowing we had a pretty big party (party of 6) the hosts said we would be seated in 35 minutes. We said this would be fine...little did we know 35 minutes turned into a full hour of sitting until they decided we should be attended. The restaurant wasn't full and we noticed other parties that arrived prior to us were seated before our party. Additionally, the menus were dirty and had squished old bread in them showing that they don't take proper sanitation steps to ensure each guests gets a clean and good experience here. Once we were seated we had to wait another 30 minutes to even to be attended. This place needs a lot of work on their service and their attention to detail. It's ridiculous to have to wait over 2 hours to eat after seeing the front desk. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Ordered the Prime Rib, it was tuff, cold, & had no flavor. I would not have fed it to my dog. They were not busy, as our food was ready five minutes after ordering. My husband ordered the new Teriyaki skewers and the waitress told us " We're sorry, we're out of those" even though there weren't many people in the restaurant. So, he ordered something else which came out as a very small steak. My order was so salty, I couldn't eat it. I told the waitress and she said " a lot of people have complained about that" ( too salty ...like brine)... Although we saw someone walking around who we thought might be the manager, they never approached us. The waitress apologized and they did comp one meal. I wrote the corporate office and was told we would get some gift cards in the mail. After a while I sent a reminder but it's been two months plus now and no gift cards. Never again. Went there around 5pm. Ambiance is meh. Not that busy, so alright. But then the problems spring fourth. Right off the bat the place smells really funny and I mean REALLY funny. We order a blooming onion like you do at an outback because battered and fried onion is absolutely delicious. Prove me wrong. Not like it's even gonna come because after asking waitress like 5 times we never get it. On the road traveling stopped for the night and saw Outback across the street- hadn't been there in while so I went. Menu is vast with several new tastes added. The hostess sat us promptly. The server was out right away with water and warm bread board- pumpernickel. Delicious and sweet with butter !! We opted for the prime rib - medium. It was a generous cut and cooked to perfection. A nice salty and peppery crust nice and red in the middle. The dinner comes with a large baked potato and everything you could want on it !! Hot and tasty. I also got one side order of the button mushrooms- they were awesome - cooked in butter and red wine - went perfect with my steak and potato ! Additionally it comes with a side salad - large enough for a meal by itself. I tried my best but could not finish everything. Looks like I have lunch tomorrow. No room for dessert but I did look over the menu- no time to count calories here !! lol Maybe next time !! Several really good choices. Outback does it right- typical steakhouse decor and what I like is consistency. Steaks always tender and well prepared! Can't go wrong here. Please tell your staff NOT to sneeze on the tables! So gross. The host sneezed all over our table and didn't even try to clean it off. The blooming onion was raw, inedible, and our waitress said this is normal? Umm, no ma'am this is not edible. One giant raw crunchy uncooked onion ain't normal. Our food was delicious. I had the big salad with crispy chicken and I must say the salad was tasty! My husband had a steak with a baked potato and side of shrimp. He loved his meal too. I got an email about their Steak & Lobster (+2 sides) for $19.99 and wasn't expecting much but WOW this was the best meal $20 could buy. I'm glad I came back. Arrived 8:45pm and closing is 10pm. Lights were at full brightness throughout the restaurant. I've never been in an Outback with full lights on. Bar was full but only six tables/booths had patrons. Being a single diner I was sat at a tiny two-person booth. I hate these booths ... but with an empty restaurant I asked for a four-top booth. Let's me spread out. :-) The menu I was given practically fell apart in my hands. I guess Outback doesn't believe in replacing damaged goods. 10-mins for server to arrive. Gave entire order. 15-mins for salad to arrive. No beer from bar yet. Salad done, sitting ... waiting .. no beer. Steak finally arrives and so does the beer. I was told the beer was at the bar and no one delivered it. Sigh ... Steak (NY Strip) was requested at a medium temp but it was blue. I can do med-rare but not this rare. It went back. It came back a med-well and in some sections a true well-done ... sigh. Over all not a great experience. read more

I called ahead to find out if they had outdoor seating that was pet friendly for my wife and I and our small dogs. Was told sure, come in and and we can accommodate. We arrived about 20 minutes after the call only to find outdoor tables that were unbussed, with rotting food in the sun. Of course there were hundreds of flies. We waitef to get something cleaned up (only our table, the others were left filthy). Some of the tables had cobwebs/spiderwebs underneath them. It really wasn't very pleasant, but we are traveling and just wanted to eat. My wife ordered a cheeseburger, medium. It was undercooked. Ordered a loaded baked potato with that and the baked potato wasn't cooked through. I ordered wings, they were greasy. My salad wasn't bad, average and best. The server tried her best, but there's only so much one young lady can do. Talked to the manager, absolutely nothing but "Gee we're sorry." So we paid $80 bucks for this meal, ended up giving the burger to the dogs. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant if it was free. In fact, I doubt I'll go back to ANY Outback restaurant. They're now competing with McDonald's in terms of meal quality, and Outback isn't winning. We are disgusted with the whole experience. Outback has declined so much over the years. Outback, Lumberton, NC. We stopped in just to get a beer in a familiar named restaurant. We were greeted friendly enough when we walked in. We sat at the bar for our drinks. No lunch. We were very surprised to find 3 seatings at the Bar with a dirty counter . (French fries were still lingering). Looking around, there were 4 tables still dirty and not cleared yet. We enjoyed our cold drink for just about 1 hr,... finally a Staff member came to clear/clean tables. As we left, 1 hr later.... the Bar top was still dirty and the Bartender WAS RIGHT THERE...and she didn't lift a rag once to wipe it off. We left, but won't be back. Surprise, surprise, no wonder they only get 2 1/2 Stars. Management should reevaluate their cleaning policies. read more

Stopped off at Outback while traveling I-95 as we wanted a fast food alternative. Restaurant was busy but not packed. Hostess seated us within 1-2 minutes. Just had time to glance at the menu before our server, Minnie, stopped by for our drink order. We're familiar with the typical offerings so we ordered Alice Springs chicken with fries and the 6 ounce sirloin (3-course special) with sweet potato. Both with salads ( their blue cheese vinaigrette dressing), no croutons, one w/o tomatoes. Minnie repeated our order back to us for confirmation. Drinks and bread arrived before I returned from the restroom. Salads shortly after. Had literally just stacked those plates when they were scooped up and our entrees arrived. Could not have been choreographed any better. Sirloin was perfect! Tender and on the money for medium. Alice Springs chicken was tender and tasty. Sweet potato was on point. The fries were a tad undercooked, not raw but soft. Piece d' resistance was the cheesecake (3rd course) with caramel sauce instead of typical chocolate or raspberry. We've learned to ask as some places have it and some do not. Thanks, Minnie, for your great service this evening from refills to credit card processed at the table. Our server Mike was efficient and stopped by several times to refill our drinks and check if we needed anything. Our steaks were cooked perfectly we waited 11 minutes from time of order for entree's to arrive. We were served with our drinks and warm bread immediately and then our salads. This Outback has a 91 rating. I see why. Menus were colored on and one had a dried splat of food in it about the size of a 50 cent piece. Appetizer plates had grease finger prints all over them. The food is decent. But the service is something that could be better. This time and the last time we had 4 different people come to the table. We didn't know who to tip. It's just a poor system. I have been enthusiastic in the past about outback steakhouse, but recently I have experienced a number of visits where the staff was excessively informal, not very attentive, and the steaks have been so thin that it is difficult to achieve a good medium rare cook with a seared surface. Ordered food for take-out on line We had the salmon dinners with creamy creole sauce with shrimp with two sides each and two french onion soups. No prices on the menu. We were shocked at the 81 dollar bill. The only thing that was good was the asparagus. The creole sauce either shrimp was over salted, same for the french onion soup. The ribeye steak was not what I expected. The seasoning was too much and you just couldn't taste the steak. The Caesar salad dressing with grilled chicken was an overkill. Way too much dressing to say the least. read more

The hubs and I walked on over to this Outback during our most recent road trip. We stayed at the Hampton Inn off the exit and the Outback was a quick walk across the street. Since we were exhausted from a day of sitting in the car, we didn't really want to spend much time chasing down a new eatery. So we found ourselves at this Outback. The person at the hostess station didn't really great us and she seemed a bit annoyed. She told us it would be about thirty minutes for a table although it was nearly 8:00 pm on a Sunday evening. The place wasn't packed, but given the current economic climate, I imagine they are also in the same boat as nearly every restaurant we've frequented--understaffed and overworked. We opted to find ourselves a seat at the bar and were lucky to find two seats together. Our bartender/server, Delaney, greeted us with a smile and made us feel a bit better about stopping in. Since we weren't super hungry, we only ordered one meal to split and the fried mushroom appetizer. For some reason, I find fried mushrooms to be one of my favorite appetizers. They're pretty simple and hard to mess up. The mushrooms at this Outback were really good. They had more seasoning on them and they typical ranch sauce for dipping. My salmon dish was tasty, but as with many restaurants, the overall dish was a bit salty. Overall, our experience that evening was okay. I wouldn't necessarily return to this Outback unless we stayed at that Hampton Inn again, so that is why the stars are dropped a bit. Service from Delaney was great until she went on break, but overall, I'd give her personally Four Stars. The restaurant floor was pretty dirty with food and spills all over, making going to the bathroom a bit dangerous when dodging lettuce leaves and spilled food. The bathroom wasn't really as clean as I'd expect from a chain, and a dirty restroom leads me to believe that other things are dirty too... read more

First walked into TX steakhouse on same street, it was dirty gross & bartender told me it would be a while and she had to get the bar cleaned from past customers ( there's maybe 5 seats at bar & obviously they were pouring for entire place). Walked out. I walked into outback, grabbed the last seat at the bar & it did not disappoint. Service was awesome. Bar & restaurant clean, even though they were very busy (Friday 730pm). Our experience was not good. Went to an early dinner. Had Ayanna for a server. I Ordered the Sirloin and Lobster Mac and cheese. I wanted my steak medium. Half of it came out medium the other half came out medium well. Didn't complain, I ate it. Not sure where the lobster was but it is what it is. The issues came when my friend ordered just a regular cheese burger with pickle, cheese and tomato with fries. The cheese burger came out with lettuce (which she didn't want) cucumber(?) and tomato. What is sad is Ayanna told us our order back to us and it was specifically told to her pickles, cheese and tomato only!! Someone from the back brought it out. Had to tell the server that fries was also ordered with it. My friend bit into the sandwich and found the wrong items on it. Told Ayanna and she took it back and a new sandwich was made. Didn't get the pickles again, got cucumbers for the second time.WTH???. Do we not know the differenice? If there was no pickles on hand they should have just said something it would not have been a big deal. And they put lettuce on it yet again but noticed before they took it out and didn't take all of it off as there was a couple of pieces still on it. she gets her fries, the fries were half raw half cooked. The burger was taken off the check due to the issue. But raw fries? Didn't entertain the fry issue, just was done with all the burger problems didn't want to entertain the fries too. However took a picture of the fries and the cucumber. Not only was the food poor in quality the service was too. Didn't ask if I wanted A1 or anything with the steak, didn't seem like she wanted to be there, didn't apologize for the issue with the burger, didn't ask me if I wanted a refill, however she made sure my friend was good on hers, which was fine since the issue with the burger. My friend didn't make a complaint but she wasn't paying. Didn't come by and check if we need anything until we were done eating. The side of the restaurant where we sat on was dirty. The table wasn't cleaned off next to us until right before we left, the customers were gone when we got there. The floor was gross, the table got cleaned off 45 min after we got our table. The floor didn't get swept while we sat there, and it was a mess under that table. There was something spilled under our table that wasn't cleaned up didn't notice until we were there for a little bit. Didn't want to complain too much as I didn't want anything else to happen to our food. Overall our experience was less than adequate. I was happy that the burger was comped, didn't ask for it but it was appreciated. Get better Outback. Edit: So I looked back at the receipt and I actually didn't get comped for the hamburger. We have eaten at this Outback for many years, last time was last June. We have always taken our own wine and paid the $10.00 corkage fee. Our arrival tonight with our wine caused great consternation with the manager saying that this was never done in her 2 year tenure and furthermore the bottle could not remain on the table. We ordered a bottle of wine from the wine list which was delivered to the table with 2 glasses but not opened. Service for the remainder of the evening was surly, none of the sides we ordered with our 8oz Victorias filet were included something not mentioned. Our check was $71.00.
