Dirty dirty dirty. The menu and table were absolutely filthy. My wife and I ended up leaving within minutes of being seated. After reading some other reviews I can clearly see this is an ongoing issue with this location. To the manager: I will not be contacting guest services, I will contribute to the negative rating your establishment has already earned and hope it will prevent others from wasting their time with this dump. Your restaurant needs to close or hire a new manager ASAP. If I contact anyone it will be the department of health and ask for them to explain to me how this place is allowed to remain open. read more

Ate here about 4 times over a 3 day layover. Had 3 dinners and one lunch. I always had the salad bar with my meal which I am always leary of because I do not like buffets of any kind. However the salad bar was kept clean and tidy. I two occasions I actually saw an employee using tongs to make sure everything was in place. The menu selection for dinner is a little lacking and the drinks are expensive but really can't make that an issue. The food was well prepared, fast and the staff at the bar was very friendly for each visit. Since this is the only restaurant in the hotel complex I will refrain from recommending it one way or another, but I will say if you are at one of the nearby hotels it's an good place to grab some grub. read more

We went on a busy Sunday night, we were seated very fast in a table for 5 by the waiter Dennisse ( she is the best, ask for her) the drinks came fast and refill too, the food was actually from the pictures in the menu, that was the best thing. I order Half baby back ribs with rice pilaf and sweet potato fries. My drink was peach ice tea, which was great. Definitely coming back for dinner. read more

I'm in the area on business for several weeks, so I'll be here a lot. My first two visits were decent. However, the third time was NOT the charm. I'm sitting at the bar, there are TWO bartenders and they aren't incredibly busy, yet the service was horrible. I wasn't even acknowledged for several minutes. When I ordered my beer I affirmed that I wanted a menu. I decided what I wanted and closed the menu and set it in front of me. It took close to TEN minutes before one of the bartenders asked if I wanted to order anything! Luckily the food was good and the beer was cold. read more

Got stuck in New Jersey due to flight cancellation. Stayed at a nearby hotel and walked over to Ruby Tuesdays with a co-worker. Bar was open until midnight, and kitchen closed at 11. I believe they have a reverse happy hour on appetizers. They were all half price until close. Bar tenders were very nice. read more

Good stuff: The food was tasty, and didn't take too long to prepare. Bad stuff: Despite having numerous tables open, the hostess was very indecisive on where to seat me for dinner. At the table next to me was a bus tray with dirty dishes that sat untouched for about 15 minutes. Also, the service was slower than expected. I wish my experience was better. I went to this RT for my birthday because I like the chain. What GREAT service! The waiter was super polite, professional, and friendly. It's my first time being in a ruby Tuesday's, and being from upstate NY, we don't have any of these in my area so I came here for dinner with my friend, and I hate to say it I was not impressed at all. The food was ok at least minus the sides offerings, which in both our opinions tasted very old and dry, or over cooked. My steak was perfect, but my friends choices were limited on the menu with his Crohn's, almost everything in the menu has garlic or onions or both. And the only items that didn't have any, where the chicken fingers for appetizers, and sides for dinner, and dessert menu. I'm not going to lie, but the service has been very very slow, even to get basic refills on drinks and even to order said dessert, been here 1.5 hours now and still haven't been able to even order a dessert as our server has vanished. Again not impressed with my first experience here. read more

Poor service. Had one waitress working tables, kept forgetting about us, didn't bring items requested, didn't clear used appetizer plate, or refill our drinks.... But she and the hostess walked by us many times. Lettuce in salad bar was wilted and brown, so I didn't get that. Got a Burger, overall....Food was mediocre. read more

Visited this Ruby Tuesday about 9pm on a Tuesday night. Bar didn't have any draft beer because it was warm. Very limited bottles and the few microbrews listed were not carried anymore. Waitress had no idea about beer and wine offerings so we were forced to get up and ask the bartender. I asked for a glass along with my bottle and after a minute of searching, she found a 20oz glass since rest were all dirty. Food was poor. Chicken wings were previously fried and reheated. Chicken breast dinner was dried and looked like a dishwasher prepared it To finish it off, we asked for separate checks when we sat down. After flagging our waitress because we got tired of sitting with out dirty plates, we asked for our checks. Ten minutes later, our checks were brought to us all messed up. Ten minutes later, they were brought back again with the comment "I hope I got these right". Ruby Tuesdays needs to take a few tips from Friday's and Applebee's. I will not eat here again. read more

Just a horrible place. Completely got my online order wrong. I realized it after picking up the food and getting back to the hotel and called them. When a friend & I went for an early dinner the place was not crowded at all at 4pm which we liked. Her food seemed to be just fine but my order got messed up. I asked for medium well steak & baked sweet potato, the first plate the potato was fine but the steak was overcooked. When I complained, the waiter, Nehemiah took the whole plate of food although the sweet potato was perfect. The second plate the steak was just right but the second potato wasn't done, it was really hard to put my fork into it. So, this time I asked for the manager and told her nicely what happened, she was very accommodating! She had the cook do another third sweet potato which was a little better. She was very attentive throughout the rest of our meal. This was not the waiter's fault the food wasn't cooked properly. Nehemiah was very pleasant, hard working running back & forth trying to get my food order corrected, getting our drinks, meals & desserts. He was awesome. I had to delete a star in this review because I should not have had to go through this ordeal but the manager and waiter did rectify the situation. By the way, my friend and I had the apple crisp dessert with ice cream, a must have delicious desert! read more

The food is average to very good but the service is sooo slow. The only other restaurant nearby is an IHOP, so they have a captive audience.

This by far is one of the worse experiences I've had at a restaurant because of my service animal. The manager came to the front and waved his hands saying "no no that dog can't be here" I let him know she was a service animal and he still said no. Then I notified him again, she is a service animal. Then he said to prove it to him. I had forgotten my wallet at the hotel [nearby] so my husband went to get my wallet. I was standing in the front and presumed to tell me how I needed proof. I said by law when a person states they need a service animal [have a service animal] it should be enough but my husband is bringing the proof so to give us a moment. Then he presumed to say that he can't believe a customer just because they say it's a service animal and that the dog could bite someone and how he's not dealing with that. I turned my head and stayed quiet. My husband brought my card of identification for my service animal and told the server to sit us in the corner. He didn't apologize, didn't say thank you for the proof instead scoffed and left. How is a man like that a manager of am establishment ? Frowning upon those who have disabilities and not asking, but telling me to leave because I have a dog. The managers name is " Manny " and should really learn better customer service, especially to those who have disabilities. read more

I have visited the restaurant three times in the last week that I have stayed at a nearby hotel and ended every evening with terrible service. Bartenders seem to not want to be there and service is as slow as it can get. Wouldn't recommend this place to any one. I went here for lunch with my girlfriend before we went shopping in Jersey Gardens. We waited for about a half hour for our food and once it got out it was cold. The Manager Frank rectified the problem right away and took very good care of us. Now I know why they place him in Management. The guy knows how to keep a customer happy. Ruby Tuesdays used to be my most hated chain, but I have to admit they have improved since I last visited. This location in particular was really nice. They still have the salad bar, which in the past was the only thing about the place that I liked, but now the food is actually half decent. Still nothing amazing and not worth going out of your way for, but edible, and kind of tasty. I appreciated the occasional marking of calories on the menu (only for lower calorie items.. makes me worry how many calories are in the unmarked items). They have these biscuits now that really are, as another reviewer commented, like a cheap imitation of Red Lobster's. Still much better than I remember this chain being in the past, and certainly one of the best options in this area... not that there's much to compete against... IHOP next door, and inside the mall, a terrible Chilis, a Johnny Rockets with a perpetual line, and an overcrowded food court. read more

Used to love the triple prime burgers here but they have gotton so bad I think Micky D's might be as good. Don't go here to often but the last trip was a total failure. Wife got the crab cakes and soup. When delivered the crab cakes were a smashed flat burnt and overly salty mess. Kind of looked like hash browns that had been sitting on the grill to long. The "triple prime" burger was small overcooked and had those little crusted bits on it that you would get from cooking on a dirty grill. Won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Came in at 5:30PM., and asked for a table for three. Told we had to wait for 15 to 20 minutes. The entire restaurant save for around 5 tables was empty. Even the bar was empty. There were over 15 people waiting...one couple threw up their hands and walked out. Asked could we have one of the empty tables. (They were all set up). Was told no you cannot. It our policy to only have 1 server for four tables. I said can we go and least sit at a table. Again was told no. Then I ran down the manager and just asked I could be seated anywhere. Was told, you are just going to have to wait for the help to show up it will be in around 10 minutes. Really. Finally, we got a table. I saw 10 different empty booths, asked can we sit in a booth (we had three people), no you cannot have a booth. Are these reserved...no. They put us back by the bathrooms. Ordered two beers, no glasses, just bottles, when asked if we could have glasses, were brought two dirty and warm glasses. I finally went up to the bar and asked form some chilled beer glasses, got two. Waitress came to the table, so I see you got two chilled glasses, good for you, they would not give me two. Most bizarre restaurant experience seen and I have eaten all over the world. Food was OK, but the whole customer experience was crazy. Going to write to Ruby Tuesday about this and ask them about their customer service policy. Looks like to me, the management does not want to hire enough staff because they do not want to pay their hours. read more

My spouse and I had the Hickory Bourbon Salmon with a side of grilled zukes and a side of the salad bar ( I had the roasted butternut squash and salad bar). The salmon was delicious! Tender and the sauce was great! The strawberry lemonade was tart and good, while the strawberry fizz was bland. The salad bar had good offerings of fresh veggies, and our veggie sides were cooked just right. It was really nice to have the opp to get healthy low cal, balanced meal while underway. If you like fried food etc, they also offer that. Nice staff, clean environment read more

Bartenders are awful as well as management keeps the wine above the bar in a warm area. Did I mention the bartenders a terrible. They are in street cloths, text on there phones instead of doing there jobs. Oh and the best part they gave cash change in nickels read more

This was the first time I'd been to any Ruby Tuesday, so coming up for a visit with some old friends I figured this would be a good place since it was right by my hotel. I saw they advertised on their site "sign up for So Connected eclub and get a free appetizer with purchase of an entree" Great-there would be 6 of us and we could get an extra something to split. I got an email with a link to a coupon, which said the same thing. So the 6 of us get there on Thurs night, and we all decide( on one friend's recommendation) to go with the '3 courses for only $12.99'. I mention the coupon & the waiter tells us "you can't use it with the 3-Course menu...fine, so I'll get a regular entree."no, NONE of you can get the 3-course menu". WTF???? Why the f**k send me a damn coupon I can't use AND don't mention any of that ON the coupon. Take me off your mailing list-I won't be back(in any state).......I do want to add, though, the service was very good-I believe or waiter was Scott, and I am not shooting the messenger read more

Not sure if it is the same case with other Ruby Tuesdays, but the salad bar at Elizabeth was super-fresh and had a ton of variety - had to go back for seconds. Service and Entrée were decent, but I had to comment on the surprisingly good salad bar. read more
