Our local Ruby Tuesdays in my hometown AND my new home city had closed down, so I've been hankering for it for years. We happened to be driving through Youngstown and were so excited to stop here! My expectations should've been lower- these all closed down for a reason right? WRONG! Salad bar- well stocked with everything I needed, including my favorite croutons! The burger special- absolutely BANGIN. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time- greasy, juicy, crispy. And an absolute bargain on a Thursday night. To top it off, our server Corey was funny and attentive, and we enjoyed being served by him. Myself and a friend visited this location and we were told to wait at the host's station. There were only two cars in the parking lot. it was about 7pm on a Thursday. Anyway we get seated and we couldn't even get our drink order in. we waited 20minutes and we walked out. The server sat us but never came over to let us start ordering. We decided to give them another chance as we actually wanted to try a couple things on the menu. We walk in, and the host told us to wait a minute. she walked in the kitchen came out and was making salads. Then we were seated. I probably heard "I'll be right with you" from 3 different employees. we waited about 15 minutes and nobody came to take a drink order again. I understand being short handed but you need to staff this restaurant. service is key and we wanted to spend the money to try the menu. if we would have at least got our drinks in we would have stayed. unfortunately we will not be returning. read more

My husband and I were in the area and were looking for a place to eat, so we stopped here. I wanted to get up and leave once I saw that the mediocre salad bar was not included in any meal as a side dish like most places offer, but rather an extra $6. It is ignorant to charge that kind of money for a salad bar that is not worth anywhere near that when most entrees are $16-$19. So we opted for the chicken Parmesan sandwich as a cheaper option. It was awful. Greasy, SALTY, and barely a trace of tomato sauce. This place was dead and it's no wonder. Overpriced, no good selection on the menu, and the food is just not good. If I could give this a 0 I would. Server took 25 minutes to even come talk to us mind you it's 3 on a Sunday. There's practically nobody here, the menu said the mushroom Swiss burger came with lettuce, ceaser dressing, and lettuce. Mind you that's all that it claimed came on it. Food came an hour later with all 3 toppings on. I politely reminded her I requested none of them she took it back, came back 30 seconds later saying they went to take it off and the burger fell apart, they had to make a new one, takes 15 minutes to come back and there's pickles on it when the menu said nothing about it. Haven't been here in ages. The staff was friendly. No complaints about them at all. But the floor was so sticky everyone's shoes were sticking and squeaking when walking. The restroom was not maintained at all. Very noticeable. The food wasn't so great either. We both had the Smokehouse Burger which we had always liked. This burger was a thin, prepackaged burger that was tough and not appealing at all. My plate had 12 fries on it. A small amount compared to the other diner I was with. Well I ordered twice in a row, one for a meal then the second, because I decided I wanted desert. My 9 dollar gallon of Minute Maid didn't show up. Do I called the restaurant. The hostess was rude and no help. So I talked to the manager. He apologized and said he'd send it with the desert. Well long story short. Came here for the second day in a row and got the same meal because I enjoyed my first meal so much. This time around not so good. Service was great from my waitress but the manager was off. my steak was suppose to be medium rare which is a very red center. it comes out medium well and I tell the waitress and she pulls over the manager. he asks if we want it done more and I said no I wanted it medium rare... so he clearly doesn't know what the steak should be cooked. but I will say they took the steak off my bill so thank you ruby tuesdays! read more

Had a meal today that I had amost a year ago. I had shrimp scampi pasta last year on a Thursday it was the best. Lots of wine butter sauce to dip your breadstick in. Today on Tuesday it was dry and a few of the stands of fettuccine where stuck together. The bad thing is it was bogo free so I have a second dry one. I didn't come close to finishing my first one so I came home to add more butter and scampi sauce to it. Much better. This is what I find wrong with this restaurant, you never know how your food will be coming to you. Just lucky that I had the scampi sauce. I gave this three stars because of how dirty the restaurant was. I sat in a booth by the window. I had to put my purse and jacket by the window due a friend sitting with me. I'll start by saying the service is good! The server was super friendly and very helpful. She cleared our plates promptly and even refilled our drinks. We had a good time hear my only complaint is that the salad bar is small. The salad bar is good with 3 types of lettuce spring mix, iceberg, romaine, and baby spinach... it also has some broccoli, apple, & macaroni salads. The normal salad fixings. I had the Burgers on zucchini in the pictures with the pumpkin cheesecake, the couple had the hickory glazed chicken breast, baked chicken and macaroni dinner, and the boy the chicken finger kids meal. My husband and I go here from time to time (it's a bit more money than our usual haunts so we don't get to go a lot). We always have great service. The staff is friendly and attentive. My only complaint is that we don't always get the delicious biscuits brought out to us, which is a bummer cause OMG they're so good! The food is consistent and tastes good. My husband always gets a steak and it comes out as ordered. I only ever had an issue once with an app - the chicken got a little overdone as it was rubbery - but it was taken care of for us, no problem. I typically go between the same chicken and seafood dishes, and they've all been good. I don't always get the salad bar, but when I have it was always clean and was well-stocked most of the time. There were occasions where it looked like things were getting low, but I don't recall ever seeing it run out of something before. That said, this last time we went they had the new salad bar and it had a lot of new options. I think people will be really happy with it. There's some great new homemade dressings too. My only complaint there is that subbing a side for the salad bar was free. It's now an extra dollar something, I believe. Not cool, in my opinion. But, I guess for people who are the salad bar type? Me, I just throw some iceberg and veggies on the plate, so the old salad bar worked just fine for me, so not sure the extra money is exactly worth it to someone like me. Oh, and I've gotten carry-out a few times from here as well, and it's always been very well packaged so nothing ends up ruined in transit. Bonus. Very disappointed with management. We have been frequent diners in the past. I bought $50 gift card with a promotional $15 gift card upon purchase. My husband and I are So Connected members and had coupons which were emailed to us. With our coupon and gift card we went for dinner. The bill was $38 and we were told by the manager that neither the coupon or gift card applied. They changed all the menus and because the suggested $12.98 meals were "specials", nothing applied. There was no indication to us prior to ordering that these were " specials". It appeared to be just part of their new menu. Went to dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday with my Mother. We were seated promptly. The waitress was friendly and helpful. We all had the garden bar which was fresh and well stocked. I had a great experience here. My mom and I are in town for the weekend and were looking for a good dinner. Ruby Tuesday delivered! The salad bar was fresh and our food was H-O-T which my mom loved. We both got chicken dishes that were seasoned perfectly. I got the hickory bourbon chicken and my mom got the chicken bella. The chicken bella comes in a cream sauce and my mom doesn't like cream sauces but the sauce was just right for her. Our waitress and other employees were very friendly. Ruby Tuesday used to be a favorite of ours decades ago. Not so much anymore. We stopped at a Ruby's near Youngstown on our way home to the CLE. It felt like it wasn't clean...kind of like Applebee's. Our food was so so. My husbands said, meh. My choice was a jambalaya pasta dish with shrimp, sausage and chicken. It was so salty and charred that I could hardly get it down...and left half of it. Our son had a cheeseburger...but he's 16...so he'll eat just about anything. We won't be visiting a Ruby Tuesdays any time soon, that's for sure. read more
