I won't go to any another nail salon! They are the best. My nails always look so natural. However; if you are looking for acrylic nails, they don't do that. They do however do "tip sets" which is similar to acrylic but gel powder is used instead. And also UV gel nails. I have done both, and love both. The tip sets look way more natural than acrylics do. And so do the UV gel set. For the past year, I've had on my UV gel nails. They are more expensive, but well worth it. I get compliments every where I go. All of my coworkers decided to check out ruby nails and are in love too. They drive over every 2 weeks from Greece! Plus while your nails are drying, they give you a nice little massage. read more

Amazing place! I was searching for so many pedicure places that could be a reasonable price and this one is! As I was getting my pedicures done the lady did a really good massage and it was long. she wasn't rushing she was taking her time. had a great early dinner at Yellow Elephant next door, had about 1 hour before coming home. Walked in to get a quick mani and Pedi. Place was nice and pretty. There was 1 other customer. was taken care of immediately with no waiting. manicure was a bit rough and the paint job was streaky. Went for a polish change and they wanted to charge me 5$ to cut my nails. Have done polish changes at many other places- have never heard of this. This is the kind of place that nickel and dimes you for every single thing. Not only did they want to charge me but every single employee looked at me like I had 3 heads. This place used to be good - the used to offer a solid 5 min shoulder rub (with a timer even!) while you got your manicure, but those days are long past. Now, if you're lucky, you get a chided and nonchalant few rubs and chops across your back, and they seemed pained to have to do it - if you even get it one offered at all, which is now rare. They're often out of gel paint colors in common, neutral colors. The older guy that did my gel manicure charged me $30. I had loyalty cards equaling $5.16 discount. They applied $5 off (I guess the $0.16 was a gift to the gods? It certainly wasn't to me). I gave the guy an 18% tip at $4.50. He did a double take and scoffed, looking upset. I said, so, I just gave you an 18% tip, is that ok? And he said, yes, on $30, meaning he was expecting me to tip him off of $30. Is it just me, or is that super rude? My cousin and I went in for manicures and they staff were rude and quick with us.. halfway through the manicure he made my cousin get up and pay, then proceeded to finish the nails in addition to cutting her cuticle and just brushing it off as if she wasn't bleeding. I have been going to this salon for years, and have recommended my friends in the area to go, too. I always loved their mani/pedi services, but the quality and level of service has gone down hill significantly. I get the same type of manicure every time, but the service is different depending on the technician you get (for example, sometimes I'm offered the paraffin wax treatment & shoulder massage, sometimes not). The past 3 manicures I've had, I left disappointed. Cut cuticles, nails not shaped how I asked, or top coat being uneven/lumpy. After 3 disappointing services in a row, I will not be back. I've past this place one million times and regret not going in sooner. The atmosphere is gorgeous. Open, light and very big inside. I was seen promptly by appointment, not sure how it is for walk-ins. My nail artist took her time to file and buff my nails and work my cuticles which I appreciated because it had been a while since I received a manicure. Also while she was working, a man came around to give everyone a complimentary shoulder and back massage. It felt amazing! My one reason for not giving this place a full 5 stars was while I enjoyed my artist, some of my nails were filed crooked. The paint itself was applied very nicely with no mistakes but when I asked for a design on my two of my nails she seemed confused. I showed her which one I wanted and I'm not sure if she's done it before. She had to wipe off and re-start the design several times. Eventually a manager (?) came over to watch and guide her through. I got my toes done before leaving for vacation and they looked great. They did chip earlier then they normally do but it wasn't a huge time difference. I had extra money on my gift certificate so I got my eyebrows waxed and I said that I wanted them done very natural and I didn't want any change to my shape. She waxed way too much off for my liking and also changed the shape so I was very disappointed by that. It was noticeable enough for my friends to notice it without me saying anything. They did a pretty good job on my toes but I wouldn't recommend getting your eyebrows done here. read more

This is the second time I was with someone whose polish was damaged by being told too soon that it's dry. I am very disappointed after multiple visits. Received a mani & Pedi from Jessie. I have a significant ingrown toe nail on my left great toe. I inquired before starting about her ability to "dig" out an ingrown nail. Jessie shared she was an expert. Believe me Jessie is no expert! She cut some nail away but it hurts more after she worked on me. I do not have a right foot & Jessie was insistent charging me full price pedicure for one foot. I asked to speak with a manager she said she was and makes decisions. I am very disappointed. Other salons have charged me half price in the past. My manicure I'd say was ok. I have definitely had better. My friends & relatives all rave about Ruby Nails. They won't get my business anymore and once I share this experience they'll lose a few other customers. Also question how sanitary the equipment is. The tools were NOT taken from sealed/sanitized envelope. In addition tools placed in wire mesh container and placed on the floor. Noticed all containers consistently place on the floor for other customers. Have been here twice for pedicure and gel nails. First time I had a young lady do my pedicure and nails. She was wonderful. The second time I went I started out with her and one of the men moved her to another woman and he finished by pedicure and did my gel nails. He was rude. Instead of asking me to put my foot back in the water, he pushed my foot toward the water. I got the message, but he could have either done it gently or tried telling me what he wanted me to do. The gel manicure was much the same. Every time he wanted me to move my hand, he would push it. At the end, they usually give a short massage at the drying table; never happened. He took my money and hurried me out like I was cattle. For my $50 (plus tip), I left feeling like I had been an imposition. Don't think I'll be back. read more

Just moved to the area and relied on Yelp to find me a reasonable salon nearby. This is a fantastic nail salon. I got a regular mani pedi, with a massage while my nails dried, for only $35! Salon is very clean, and VERY busy. I'll definitely be back. I think the gel mani pedi was only $50.. But they don't have prices posted. I'd probably go back for the gel mani pedi just because it lasts longer. read more
