I have being doing my nails for over a year and I had never ever had such a bad experience like I had in this nail salon. The technician literally treated me like a child. Pretty much blaming me for not putting my hands right in the gel sealer machine. When it was legit her fault for not paying attention. That machine sucks. Usually I put my hand off and back in and the machine would light up again, not hers and she wouldn't turn it on. Instead, she preferred to blame it on me for supposedly putting my hands wrong like there's a wrong way to put it like seriously that the machine is off. That's why is not curing the gel. I was so pissed! So to calm myself down I put Netflix on my phone and she bitched at the volume saying that she could get in trouble. And I'm like for your client doing something entertaining? How about you ignoring me and literally your job for chatting and giggling with this man who's sitting beside you? So unprofessional. I had never had such a nasty experience in a nail salon. I will never ever visit this place again and I don't recommend. It hasn't been a day and my gel colors are falling apart.

Notice the drooping of the white tip on my middle finger- they seriously all looked like that.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This is by far the worst nail salon I have ever been to, and I have been getting my nails done every 2-3 weeks for over 8 years. After just moving to the area, I found this place because it is so close to where I live. I decided to give them a try. The first time I went there I asked them for a gel French manicure. This is not a hard request as I have gotten them several times before. Couldn't tell you who the technician was but I do know she was the manager of the salon. I came in an hour or so before close and asked her if she had time, she agreed. I even told her that if she DID NOT have time it was no big- I am a pretty laid back person. I work retail so I get it if she didn't have the time. She took me anyways. When the manicure was done- the nail polish had been dried to be literally so uneven it looked like it was just globbed on my fingers. It looked like it was dripping off. I asked her if she could fix them- she said she agreed they didn't look right or good but that it would "be fine for now". Told me to come back if I had any issues. Then proceeded to charge me $50 for a French gel polish that looked terrible. And she knew it. Why would you charge someone that much when you know it looks bad? I then gave them another try a few months later, figuring I could have just went in on a bad day. Because, ya know- who doesn't? So I go in, ask for a gel manicure as per my usual. They then say they will do a gel dip for the price of normal gel manicure so I can try out this new method. So I figured, eh what the hell! Why not? The gel dip was so bad when it was done they started over. I didn't say one word to my technician as she didn't speak too much English. Which doesn't really bother me usually but I was unable to tell her what was wrong- luckily she figured it out. At the end of my appointment she charged me full price for the gel dip. When I asked her why she said it was because they had to do it twice so I had to compensate. Again- let's keep sending out customers with nails they hate, with a product they never asked for, at a higher price than promised. Because that will give you a ton of service. Finally, a few months after that I tried one last time. The location is really convenient for me and if it worked out this last time I was willing to let go of the past experiences. I asked for a simple gel polish. Again, tried offering me dip and this time I said no (learned my lesson on that one). I had made an appointment for 5 and did not get seated until 5:30. Nobody touched my nails until around 6. The technician I had this time was very young and we spoke through the duration of my appointment. When she was done I was so happy! Finally- they got it right. I even asked for her name so I could ask for her again in a few weeks. I happily paid full price for it and tipped her highly because of how good they looked. And I would have considered making them my usual salon had they not started chipping off less than 3 after. All in all, worst nail salon I have ever stepped foot into. I gave them more than enough tries to win my business as a consistent customer of this establishment. They disappointed me all three times. Honestly someone could not pay me enough to ever go there again. Please save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. If you would like to pay for over priced services, terrible product, long wait times and terrible customer service then this is 100% the salon of your dreams. If not- don't even bother.

I think I've found it! A nail salon that's worthy of my dolla' bills. As I've mentioned in past reviews, I'm super picky about getting manis and pedis as I find the money spent isn't worth it for a mediocre job. However, the folks at Nail Trix are rock stars. They're precise, take their time, and make sure the nail polish gets to the edge of the nail. It's a decent sized space with ~6 mani stations and 5 pedicure chairs. The space is clean, hygienic (sanitized tools), and the staff are among the more friendly folks I've encountered. The woman who greeted us was a gem -- very sweet and welcoming! I recently opted for a gel mani (my first), which is $30. I had a couple weddings coming up so I wanted something that would last (it's still going strong!). The only downside to a gel mani is that you should pick a color you love. On my own, I'm quick to swap out new colors pretty regularly so getting used to the same color for 3+ weeks is new for me. Although, it doesn't chip at all! I'm really impressed. If I have a busy month ahead, this may be my best option for a mani since it will last. FYI - there isn't a line for tip on the credit card so bring cash for that. Even though it's in Webster it's a quick hop off 590 and rather convenient for me (5 min drive from home) so I'll be stopping in again for more pampering.

3 - 3.5 stars. Clean, bright facility with nice, fast staff. There are about 6 pedicure chairs and 6 tables for manicures. Had a good selection of O.P.I and China Glaze colors. With the pedicure you get pumice stone rub on the bottom of your feet, massage salts for your calves, oil massage for feet and legs and a well-functioning massage chair. Some prices: $15 for regular mani $30 for gel mani $35 for a mani/pedi Good deals and good service, in and out in less than 90 minutes. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Rochester visiting family.

2 hours and $30 for this???? Torn and bleeding cuticles and this polish job looks a week old.

If you have 2-3 hours and want a bad job at a high price, please stop into Nail Trix. I always give a place every opportunity to show me they're good. Today was my 9th time here and it was officially my last. Had two 1:30 appointments that I made 2 days in advance (was bringing a friend to try out the place.) Waited an hour and 10 minutes with not so much as a "thanks for your patience" or "sorry for the wait" - absolutely nothing. When I finally was seated, had Michael for the first time. Didn't soak my nails in soapy water - like EVERY mani I've ever had!!!! - Used no cuticle softener and just proceeded to shove them back as hard as possible - two are still bleeding and then he squirts rubbing alcohol on them! Then when he opens the bottle on the color I chose it was so old and dried the brush in it was ruined! Picked a new color that was old too. 5 coats later, squared nails that I hate (I requested oval), sides not polished and torn and bleeding cuticles and a 20 second hand massage and I get charged full price!!!! My poor friend - her nail tech had to be coached through the process and also had about 6 coats put on. I have nothing but disdain for this rip-off place with the worst customer service I've experienced in 25 years of salon visits and I've given them 9 chances to get better....DONE! My only recommendation is that you stay far away.

When you trim hundreds of nails as quickly as you can, there will be some accidents. Slow down. Avoid cutting into customers' skin.
