The lounge has a classy interior and is located up on the thirteenth floor of DoubleTree by Hilton Leeds City Centre. The hotel had given us drink vouchers redeemable for a medium house wine, beer, lager or soft drink. The rosé was nice and smooth. My brother also ordered a dessert cocktail, which had a good, strong coffee flavor. ----- Solstice Pinot Grigio Rosé - Italy (£7.75 for 175ml). ----- Stravinsky's Coffee - Spain: Rémy Martin VSOP, Licor 43, dark chocolate liqueur, coconut purée, espresso, coconut syrup (£13). -----

The door staff are occasionally rude, the bar staff always serve the pretty girl before the bald man, the on floor staff are generally more than abrupt when it comes to throwing you off the balcony (in to the bar, not _off_ the balcony)... At this point you'd be forgiven for thinking that I hate The Sky Lounge. The truth is that if it wasn't for the drinks I honestly would, but the cocktails here are amazing - with the Mojito and French Martini's being amongst the best I've had in Leeds... and probably much further afield than that too. Arrive early, avoid any staff that you don't absolutely have to talk to in order to be served, and be prepared to wait for your drinks to be made... then sit back, relax and enjoy!

We had a long journey ahead of us so booked a table for 3 for 6.30pm and fell through the door at opening time. There's a nice bar and a spacious yet cosy lounge with big sofas and comfy chairs. Lounge and Restaurant was a bit of an off-putting description for me but that's what it is and it was a very pleasant surprise. I had to settle for Black Sheep but it was well kept and there was a good choice of draught lagers. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful and we sat with our drinks whilst looking through the menu. The place was cold as the heating had failed, it was sub-zero outside and little more inside. We were told that they were trying to do something about it and after enduring the cold for maybe thirty minutes a battery of electric heaters arrived as friends and family rallied round to keep the show on the road. Food was excellent, fresh and well cooked. My one quibble would be that it was over generous and the huge dishes of chips and salad were overwhelming and so some was wasted. Nevertheless we shall most certainly be back. This local restaurant deserves support and it was really busy by the time we left despite the appalling weather conditions. We'll definitely be back soon !!!! Lots of parking spaces and dress code I should say is smart casual. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity on offer.

Situated on the…read moreground floor of a fairly new apartment block, the surrounding area is a hotbed of redevelopment, and is already taking shape as an exciting area of Leeds city centre. Although I do love tasting wine and experimenting with new varieties, I generally despise the atmosphere of wine bars. In my experience, the pretentiousness of them seems to be overwhelming. I think Lazy Lounge avoids this pitfall admirably. Their passion for wine is evident not only due to the extensive menu, but also through wine tasting events they offer at the venue. The evenings exhibit various tipples from one particular country and with Australia and Spain on the horizon, I feel a visit is imminent. The food I have sampled at Lazy Lounge has been perfectly pleasant. Full meals are on offer, although I have mainly tried the bar snacks and sharing platters - ideal for social grazing. I used to live in close proximity to Lazy Lounge and it often proved to be a convenient and enjoyable meeting place for friends. The slate flooring, contemporary furniture and sweeping staircase creates a relaxing and intimate atmosphere.

Lazy Lounge is a few minutes walk from the back of the train station and is underneath an apartment block. This is a lovely bar / lounge and is a great place for young (& not so young) professionals and anyone who likes great food, great wine, great cocktails, great music, great service and a great atmosphere. My friend and I had a really good winetasting last week. Our sommelier was knowledgeable, fun and just happened to be one of the joint owners / managers. We tasted 3 whites and 3 reds including one of the nicest malbecs i've had. The cheeseboard was also lovely and I tried (and loved) brie for the first time. Now to the food. I could go on about the food here for the longest time, but I won't. Let me just say that last week I had the lazy gourmet burget and my friend and I went back AGAIN this week and took someone else with us. We all had the lazy gourmet burger. This is burger heaven - seriously. It had meat, bacon, cheese, onion rings, salad (i think) and came served with homemade chips, yes CHIPS - WHOOP!, coleslaw, and some caramelised red onion. This is seriously good food. We were too full to move for a while but that didnlt stop us getting jealous when we saw the table next to us having the fish and chips!! There is nothing negative that I can say about Lazy Lounge but for those who find it hard to believe a review unless it has something negative, let me say that the cheese sauce (served seperately to accompany the burger) wasnt necessary. That's all. Needless to say i'll be going back. Just hope I can hold out until next week!
