Not once did we feel pushed to spend more so that we could have a more "perfect" wedding. We really appreciated how she helped us throughout the entire planning process from the menu selection right down to the minutiae detail. Marriott offers the best in their JW lineup and we are so pleased with the amenities, choices of dining and options including the spa, fitness center and even a boat ride around the Facilities. The staff truly made our stay 5 plus stars and tomorrow we celebrate my wife's birthday at Mikado another wonderful option at JW Marriott. Being a Bonvouy card holder the point system, features and membership offers are terrific and we utilize them often. Also Michelle is housekeeping was super efficient and very kind. Great lodging, dining, amenities and an amazing array of staff members who welcome and treat you like family. A Starbucks on site, music on Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's a great breakfast option at Starwood, several bars, multiple pools and water features, shops on site and even a nightclub. You cannot purchase tickets by phone, email or in person. There are no waitlists either. We walked among the garden area, visited the small but great gift shop, watched the movie about Sunnylands and viewed the current exhibition. The next time we're in the Palm Springs area I will definitely plan ahead and purchase tickets way in advance.

You can enjoy the cafe, a gift shop, a labyrinth, and a huge wildflower garden east of the parking lot. That garden is almost a mile around and great for walking. They offer birdwatching, house tours and grounds tours for a fee. You can access an audio tour via their QR code on the brochure you receive on entering the beautiful visitors' center. Another QR gives you a listing of all the beautiful vegetation on the grounds. Parking is plentiful. The location is Bob Hope Drive. The bedrooms are each equipped to sleep a full young family and there are plenty of towels, sheets, and blankets. The best part is the entertainment options. It's not an empty house. You walk in and there are things to do from little kid toys, to arcades, and a pool table. TV works well and the couches are comfortable. Would highly recommend this cabin for 2-3 families comfortably. 4th family could work also if people are ok sleeping on the couches. (I would be!)

When I heard they would be at Marvyn's, I made sure to secure tickets. The theater is nicely laid out and makes for an intimate experience. They have entertainment before the start of the show and an amazing bar. I believe this show was sold out. In the seating area they have hilarious sayings on the screen over the stage. Wish I could remember them. Photography is forbidden in the theater. Anyhow, they are true entertainment professionals and know how to work the room. There were several things they did that we had our mind boggled. But we're the types who don't want to find out and rather like keeping the mystery intact. Amazing really doesn't begin to describe their show. We were beyond impressed. They kind and gracious to do a meet & greet after the show. It was a most enjoyable and magical evening!

On a recent visit, tickets were $75 each plus a small fee. That's a decent value for a 75 minute show. The doors open an hour before the show. Since you have an assigned seat, you don't need to show up too early. If you do come early, there's a lounge with a bar (but no food) and some live entertainment with magic and music. There are specialty cocktails, a few wines, and draft beer. I don't remember the prices but it didn't seem that high. The theater fits about 130 people but you have a good view even in the back row. The seats themselves were comfortable. The magician invited multiple people up on stage, and not just those in the front row. There is a lot of improv blended throughout. I enjoyed the visit.

What stood out the most though was the incredibly helpful and friendly staff. I want to give a particularly big thank you to the director of food and beverage, Keith Sansone. He helped me with something that was incredibly gracious and kind of him, he went above and beyond what you'd expect from most golf resorts. There are many many properties out in the Palm Springs Palm Desert area. I've played at almost all of them. Desert Willow hands-down has the best team of people working and supporting their operations. And as anybody could probably tell you, kind, friendly, and attentive staff make all of the difference in having a mediocre experience or having an absolutely fantastic experience.
