The reason for the 4 Stars is the reception, I received checking in today, the gentleman at the front desk (Joseph) was phenomenal, so thankful that we were staying at this location and was very accommodating and helpful. In fact everyone that we came into contact at this facility is so friendly and helpful, seems to enjoy working for their management group. The facility is clean and comfortable-the only concern we had was the heavy cleaning products was overwhelming, WOW it got our attention and is still throughout the building, need to find one that is not so toxic! Had a great experience here this weekend! Checked in late with Tyler on a Friday night and he made sure to check us in fast, give us the best room on the top floor and hooked it up with some waters and cookies too. The hotel was clean and decorated super cute for Halloween. Free overnight parking was a plus and surprisingly hard to come by these days. Clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. This could be 5 stars if not for the noise. Rooms are poorly insulated allowing noise from normal walking and normal conversations. Whenever someone walks outside hallways or upstairs, one can literally hear the footsteps. These are normal footsteps and not running or stomping. Same with voices. Stayed here for the first time as I had a few free nights that were expiring and it was the cheapest option without having to burn more points. Although I definitely remember stopping in 2018 when my friends were staying here for Coachella! Had a standard two queen room as I was actually not able to be upgraded through my status. I guess it's harder for two queens than one king. Aside from that, the room was fine. Beds were of usual Marriott quality, the bathroom is pretty big. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the decor, but Fairfield Inn has its own style so it is what it is. Staff here were friendly, but my experience with them was basically limited to check in, picking up some extra towels from housekeeping, and check out. Location is a bit isolated as it is a newer property as compared to the other hotels in the area (i.e., Courtyard and Residence Inn are further south). But it is generally within driving distance of most places. Only places that are walking distance are La Quinta Brewing Co., Subway, and Jack in the Box. There is a free breakfast, but I didn't wake up early enough to take advantage of it. Parking is free, which is not a guarantee with a lot of hotels these days. Overally, it was a perfectly serviceable stay. My preference is to stay at other hotels in the area, but this wasn't bad. read more

There's no wow to this location, but they are very centrally located off the main freeway and the room was ample in space and critter free. This is my second time staying here. I wouldn't say it say is was a bad stay, but just a very average experience. First, and not the fault of this location, but the website was acting weird when I tried to change the reservation. I actually made the reservation about 7 weeks ago for the total price of $179 on a Saturday night. 2 days before I was supposed to be there, I checked the rates again and it gave me $129! so, I cancelled the one room and got another reservation. I prepaid the room to get an extra discount and even checked in from home when I received the email. I did ask for, not expecting to get it, early check in for 11am, but I did ask for it. I also asked for a higher floor (there are only 4). I then signed up for text alerts when my room ready. Day of arrival - no texts, no emails, nothing. The reason I asked for 11am check in was because I wouldn't be able to check in until after 10pm if I couldn't check in before noon. Since I didn't receive a text, I checked in around 10:15pm. Well, lo and behold, they still had reservations for 2 rooms, and neither was prepaid! This is where the staff gets 5 stars. She cancelled the extra room and gave me the suite (only $20 more) which was my 2nd reservation and STILL cheaper than my first. They put a $100 hold on the card for incidentals, of which I have no clue what that might be. There is no restaurant, no pay per view movies, and nothing to really charge to the room. They do have a small "corner marker" that was pretty sparse that maybe you can charge you room? I don't know because it was pretty sad. I would go to the nearby AMPM before getting something here. The suite is nice. It's basically a longer room with a sofa, 2nd TV and work area. I like Fairfield Inn's because of the fridge and microwave. I wish all hotels had a mini fridge, so extra bonus here. Otherwise, the room was OK and functional. I was kind of hoping for a bathrobe, but no dice. The shampoo, body wash, conditioner, are attached to the wall so there's no stealing extra shampoo for home. I completely understand why they've gone this route, but I still get weirded out by communal dispensers. I assume they are sanitized like everything else. I popped open my laptop. Internet connection was fine. Then turned on the 2nd TV. They have Netflix, YouTube, and others, which I think are free, or you can sign in if you have an account already set with your favorites. There's a way to log off everything you signed in to and also a message saying everything will be reset when you check out. A nice touch. Problem was, I couldn't get past the main menu! When I selected TV or YouTube, the screen went blank. I tried turning it off then back on and the same thing happened. Boooo! Luckily, the TV by the bed worked just fine, but still annoying. I learned very quickly the walls are super thin and you can hear everything in the hallway. In fact, there was knock on a door and I thought it was mine! It wasn't. I do like that they have a cover over the peep hole so people can't look in from the hallway. Nice touch. The bed was comfortable enough. The lamps are a bright white rather than warm light which I personally just find annoying. Not the type of light I want to be exposed of right before bed. I was awoken a few times by the noise in the hallway, especially in the morning. Not good. I swear I could hear everything. Ugh. The free breakfast was OK. Fairly standard. Only issue here was they had sausage links and waffles but no forks! At least none I could fine. They did have 2 sections for spoons though. Did someone forget the forks? Finally, I 'm getting ready to leave and was disappointed you couldn't check out through the TV. It's possible you can check out through the app, but I'm partial to the TV check out where you can see you bill. Luckily, no other customers were at the front desk so check out was a breeze and I was on my way. One thing to know about this location is the area has been recently developed and there is a still a lot of undeveloped land around it, which means a lot of sand gets blown around, especially on your car. A thorough washing of my car was needed just from being there about 12 hours. None of the negative things would prevent me staying here again if the price is right. Do not stay here if you have sleep apnea and use a cpap machine, or need any constant power bedside. The hotel has motion sensors throughout the room, that turn off all of the power outlets. How did I find out? I woke up last night gasping for air, with my cpap mask on. I then moved to check my machine, and it powered back on. I spoke with the on duty manager and he didn't give a fuck and said that their outlets that are connected to the motion sensor have the ground on top, and that is common knowledge. Yet when I told him I stay in Marriott branded hotels more than 100 nights per year, and this is the first time I've ever had this happen, he shrugged. Horrible experience! Hotel is nice and clean but Enrique, the receptionist, is very hostile and very disrespectful to us! My son and I checked in overnight for his travel hockey club along with some of his teammates. When we were in the room resting, Enrique knocked on our door asking us if we knew the "other kids" ( my son's teammates who happened to be on the same floor). Enrique said that they were knocking door to door and asking us the kids and their parent's name and if they do it one more time, they will be kicked out from the hotel. I asked him why was he telling me all these when we are not even part of the annoyance and he saw us inside our room. When he noticed that i was furious, he started backing off while saying "i am not attacking you" repeatedly. I was livid and told him that he is harassing and violating us and that he should leave! I then called the reception desk and asked for a manager to complain about his behavior towards us. The lady who answered was apologetic and made sure that it will be taken care of but no manager showed up or called to appease the situation. Then past 10 pm, again, i received a call from Enrique. He told me that "there are kids playing hockey in the hallway of 2nd floor." I said "ok, so?" He told me that the reason that he was calling is because he can see it from the camera and my son...When he mentioned "my son" i cut him right there and then and yelled at him over the phone and told him that my son is inside the room with me! He's already looking at the camera and couldn't even get it right! My son was traumatized that he wouldn't even want to leave me alone in the hotel by myself. This is our second time staying here.... First time since Covid.....Checked in by phone but we still needed a key‍‍ Anyway, the place is still new so everything is great.... Our room is large with a living space, very nice.... The room is very quiet which I love.... can't here the traffic in the corridor or the elevator all night......In fact I can't here the elevator at all..... Great blackout drapes....my husband also loved the small gym area..... Our housekeeper "Yes" that's what she said to call her was the bomb.... No matter what we asked for... YAYA" has a smile on her face.... And will go out of her way to help you.... Thank you YaYa! You deserve to move up.....The customer loves you.... If you're heading to a music festival or other event and looking for an affordable desert in the Palm Desert area, Fairfield Inn is a great option. The pool is a bit smaller so when there are events in town, it can get packed pretty quickly. Breakfast is buffet style but filled with options like waffles, yogurt, etc. There's also a nearby Starbucks if you want your specialty coffee fix (though the hotel serves coffee that you can easily customize with flavors) The rooms are nicely sized, parking is plentiful and the hotel itself is located conveniently to lots of great local restaurants, fast food spots and Targets if you forget anything! read more

i'm so sad to give this review. I always stay in this hotel but today the room next to me had their TV on full blast all night long and when I called the front desk, the young man did go bang on the door and tried to call them, but no one answered and then he called me and told me there was nothing he could do, no offer of moving me to another room. He told me he didn't have the phone number of the person staying in that room, which is ridiculous. I had to give my phone number when I checked in. Apparently, the gentleman in that room is a magician and he might be out doing his show tonight. unacceptable I have to be up at 4 AM and it is now 11 PM and I feel like I'm sitting in the My neighbors TV because it is so loud in here. I am shocked that there was nothing they could do for me or that they can't do a welfare check or something and open the door and turn off the damn TV. I stay here at least twice a month for work and I will be finding another hotel. poor job Marriott. read more

Everyone was friendly at the front desk until we Met Melany we are a Marriott member and they promised us a 1:00 check out and they shut us out of our room at 12:30 so I went to get my card reactivated, gave her the name it was under and my room key and wouldn't open it until my Mom came down with a reservation # even though she saw me in the morning and gave her my room card and reservation Name after we have stayed for a couple of nights. When I reached out to them for support, and went through 4 supervisors, they all advised the dispute has to be settled with the property!? This is a clean, newer hotel that has everything you need for a comfortable overnight stay. While this hotel is not a resort by any means, what it does do, it does well. It is definitely a step above the "basic bargain" hotel, quality-wise and seems to be geared toward people who are staying for one or two nights. The ammenities during my stay were pretty comfortable. The bed in my room was soft and clean, with a variety of pillows. There was plenty of water pressure in the shower, and the entire bathroom looked new. There was a good size flat screen TV with plenty of cable channels to watch. They also have a pool and spa which looked nice, but I didn't have the chance to use. The only real issue I had was that the internet was pretty slow, but that is a total first-world problem. Netflix didn't work and I did not want to pay extra for the "premium" internet. The walls were a bit thin and noises could be heard at night but that problem was easily solved with a pair of earplugs. I was able to sleep soundly. In the morning, they offer free basic breakfast in the morning, that includes eggs and bacon. It goes from 6 a.m. to 8 a m., So yes you need to get up and get breakfast if you want any! You can also find rooms for a pretty great value if you look at the right websites online. I stayed here for what I considered to be a bargain. I would definitely stay here again for a night or two. read more

But when your motion sensor doesn't detect movement as I sleep and turns off the power, it's not awesome, especially when it turns off the electricity and my CPAP machine turns off and I wake in a panic because I am struggling to breathe. I'm a big fan of being able to watch YouTube and Netflix on the room T.V., the bathroom was very large and the beds were comfortable. There are several plugs for electric cars, and free charging!! The gym also was big a spacious and didn't have a lot of equipment, but enough to work up a sweat. Breakfast buffet was fine, I do love a waffle station. The front desk staff were always helpful and prompt. The room door and the bathroom door felt unnecessarily heavy, and a couple of times I worried about getting a limb caught. The pool is on the east side of the hotel and by 1pm was in the shade for the rest of the day which might be a good thing for the hot summer months, but made it unappealing in November. We have stayed at Fairfield Inn on a number of occasions with no big issues to report. However, on the evening of 3/26/2022 someone stole the license plates off of our car while it was parked in the hotel lot. This caused a travel delay to make police report and a trip to DMV. Be forewarned about the potential for crime on the property. In addition, neither Marriott corporate nor Fairfield management seemed to care much about the situation and no one volunteered to search security camera footage, if it even exists. Fair(field) is fair. Chose the low-cost Marriott chain hotel brand for a night in the desert for a work event nearby. I stayed at the JW Marriott the year prior but didn't want those prices on the company bill so Fairfield would suffice. The hotel is just off the 10 freeway on a main road in Palm Desert. The convenience is nice to get to downtown Palm Springs or anywhere else. It's a larger building in the area at four stories. When you walk in, you encounter a simple lobby with a front desk and some seating and a make-shift business center desk with computer. In front is the free breakfast nook. Check-in was easy at night and the woman was hospitable and friendly. Getting out the side door to the car was a bit challenging and couldn't get back in with my key. Hotel room was quite spacious and also clean. The room was plenty comfortable with a desk, TV, king bed, closet and large bathroom. Bathroom had a modern style shower only -- no bath. Very comfortable spacious room which made working or relaxing easy. Here's the downside: -- I set my alarm for early morning but apparently my next-door neighbor got up earlier and had an early call with his wife and child. I knew because I could hear most of the conversation through the thin wall. Family must have been on the East Coast. I was really liking the hotel until that point. I didn't sleep well overall so this didn't help. -- My other minor complaint was the shower was a bit slippery or I'm a bit off-balance. Either way, I did not fall on the smooth and wet surface. In the morning, the all-you-care-to-eat breakfast bar was plenty of food -- warm items (egg, sausage), fruit, cereal, breads, coffee and juices. I was disappointed they serve everything in paper plates and cups rather than dishes. I hate doing the dishes too but it's a hotel. Hotel staff was again friendly in the a.m. The final bill does not include what most Coachella resorts have: resort fee and parking fee. Parking is free! For its location, convenience and price, this property is worth a brief visit. read more

Loved loved loved this place. Maybe because it was brand new? Maybe because it was clean? Maybe because the bed was comfortable? It May be because the breakfast have a little variety? Maybe because the gym was spacious? And the staff was nice? Maybe just all the above. Now mind you it is a hotel not a luxury resort... but for the price, it was worth the stay!!! The pool is tiny, but it did the trick. The gym has ellipticals and treadmills and some free weights, (no stationary bike which is my got to), But I just enjoyed that it was larger than most hotels. And they have this cool water dispenser on the wall from Britta That dispenses freshwater. They also have cleaning wipes to wipe down all the sweat from the previous user. The Decour is beautiful, staff was nice and accommodating, and everything just looked and smelled clean. What more can you ask for a better good night sleep! All-around just kudos to Fairfield for building such a nice comfy stay at a reasonable price! read more

You get what you pay for. Beds were comfortable, and breakfast was hot/self-serve although I'm not sure the eggs were real, and it was a little weird in COVID times to see the eating utensils set out handle side down, which required extra care to not touch more than the one spoon or fork you were grabbing since you couldn't hold the handles. The best part of breakfast is the self-made waffle maker. The shower curtains were too short for the bathtub, the room didn't seem like it had been thoroughly cleaned, and the hotel seemed grossly understaffed. Brand spanking new Hotel, you got to get in on this! I checked in after a cross country trip with a carry out food order in hand, so yea I want my room quick. The front counter attendant got me and got me checked in quick. I just wanted to check in and hurry up to my bed. It's a brand new hotel, so of course the lobby and everything else looks great. The elevators are brand new so yes, I did not get stuck in them. This place is only two months old so there's nothing to complain about and I can't say that anything was out of place because it's kind a hard to mess up this soon in the hotel's life. read more

I wanted to have enough time to write a fab review from this mini Vacay experience I booked for my family hence I dragged the review till I got back home. First of, What a great deal I found via Booking.Com & it was a very secure website. The one tiny issue was I wasn't offered the option with the bathtub @ check-in. I didn't experience Any of the problems as some other non-Elite Yelp users did, so I wasn't sure what they were referring to. Except I took only 1-star away because of the thin walls & I was surrounded by visitors with loud kids. I kinda just let that go bc I was reading Others' Yelp reviews while that was happening but thankfully, the noise level didn't last for a long time. I guess I booked this trip properly through a third party?! The room I stayed in, 216 was extremely clean~I especially loved the tiny pillow that was placed on the bed & wished it was a souvenir lol. The breakfast~was very exquisite~the staff that was helping me with making the waffles was beyond friendly & a helper guy who helpfully handed me a fork when I couldn't reach for it from the back of me was very genuinely kind as well. This hotel will be my new go-to whenever I decide coming back here again via the next mini Vacay. Can't wait~maybe I'll try a different city's 'Fairfield Inn.' W2G. read more
