The pool was filled with cloudy bluish green water... I reported this to management on the second day, they followed up with I'm sorry, I would be disappointed as well, and that they will have their pool and maintenance team on it right away... That was just something to say try to make me feel better, never once during our stay did pool maintenance or pool cleaning company come and test the water or try or attempt to clean the pool or Hot Tub. The whole idea was to get away from the busy world and to come out to Palmsprings to soak in the pool and Hot Tub was a complete failure... Although our check-in process with Paulina was pleasant, the management and the ownership completely dropped the ball, and clearly showed that they do not care about the cleanliness of the pool, I am confident that if sanitary testing measures were taken, the pool would be shut down due to the filthy nature of the water and disgusting body scum ring. There are 1 vending machine only had Diet Coke left, and the snacks were stale. I would not recommend the dunes.

I assumed hotel meant something different but this seamed like a renovated motel. The elevator was hot and tiny and felt like it might break down. All the doors are facing outside. We got in and it was cooler but not as cold as I wanted. I looked at the box ac on the wall and it had a limit of 72 degrees and no lower. Because it was coming out of the box and one of the beds was so close, my head was freezing but if you walked to the bathroom, it was hot. Central air would have been nice in that hot heat. I will say it was very clean and had good size shampoo, conditioner and soap. The bed was super soft and comfy. The walls were thin. The WiFi worked well, I was able to work from there. The best part is probably the location. It is walking distance to everything. Would I stay there again, No. I definitely would need central air and real hotel amenities. We didn't even look at the pool. It's fine probably if you won't be in the hotel much and just want something close to everything. But if you want a relaxing hotel with a restaurant and everything is indoors, then this is not it.

We noticed that we were charged a different amount than what we were expecting, so my husband approached the front desk simply to ask for clarification. When he attempted to show the front desk employee the amount displayed on his phone, the employee responded rudely and stated that he did not need to see the phone. We were only trying to understand why we had been charged a different amount and expected a professional explanation. The situation then escalated unnecessarily, with the employee mentioning that he would kick us out. Because of his attitude and the way we were being treated, I decided that we no longer felt comfortable staying and requested to check out. Instead of assisting us, the employee began ignoring us and then made an extremely inappropriate comment questioning whether we were even U.S. citizens. I am a United States citizen, but regardless of anyone's citizenship status, that type of comment is completely unacceptable, discriminatory, and irrelevant to a billing concern. We came to your property expecting respectful and professional customer service. Instead, we were treated with hostility while simply trying to resolve a charge on our account. The experience made us feel so uncomfortable that we chose to leave. Given the circumstances and the fact that we checked out because of the treatment we received from your employee, I am formally requesting a full refund. I would also like this incident reviewed by management, including the employee's conduct and the comment regarding our citizenship. Please confirm that this complaint has been escalated to management and advise when my refund will be processed. Thank you.

I do want to compliment the staff, for one Nate was fantastic. Attentive, not intrusive and very responsive to our needs. Now for the reason we will never stay here again, and mind you we've been coming here on and off for over a decade. The problem is things have deteriorated over those years and what improvements were made, are not. The room was as we remembered in form, except now it's filthy. The carpet left our feet so dirty that we had to buy slippers to make sure we could get into bed. The couch was the name, so we put pool towels down to feel clean. The bathroom was fine, if a non closing shower door is fine and impossible to regulate water temperature. Everything felt just a little gross. The pool area was acceptable, except the pool was really dirty. At one point an unidentifiable thing was floating in the water making a swim unappetizing. Finally, the charm of happy hour at the community bar and a decent continental breakfast were gone. I have no regrets saying we won't be coming back.

If you are looking for the perfect place for your Palm Springs trip, look no further than the Del Marcos Hotel . It could not be more ideally located. You are literally close to everything and within walking distance. The hotel is in the heart of Palm Springs and its ideal location is just off of the main drag. The property itself is unique, pristinely clean, quiet, beautifully decorated and maintained offering everything you need and more in a hotel. The 17-room property is nestled up against the San Jacinto mountain/s with many rooms offering a panoramic mountain view. The other rooms are conveniently poolside. They serve a delightful continental breakfast every morning in the lobby. This is not the sparce standard continental breakfast now pretty much ubiquitous which has a few generic bulk cereals, coffee, juice, a piece of fruit and maybe if you are lucky a slice of toast or a bagel. The continental breakfast here at the hotel included organic yogurt, coffee, juice, homemade gourmet muffins, two different types of handmade breakfast burritos and much more. There is also a afternoon happy hour. They have a nice selection of beer, wine and each day offer their specialty cocktail of the day. Two of the days I was here, I tried the watermelon margaritas and then a fresh Berry vodka cocktail. The homemade guacamole and chips was delicious as well as the salsa. They also had hummus with pita, and a mini charcuterie plate. The best part of this hotel is the employees. I was warmly greeted my first day by Rose who immediately made me feel at home, was so kind, helpful and sincere in wanting to make sure my stay was going to be the best possible. And, it was. . Thanks so much for everything Rose. Also, a shout out needs to go to Ben who helped me on my last day with check out. Without hesitation, he let me keep my luggage and belongings in back while I stayed and hung out at pool with some fellow guests 5 hours beyond check out. This place really rocks. From what I have heard and seen, you really can't go wrong with any room you choose. They are all unique and individualized. I stayed in the Desert Oasis deluxe room. I had my own personal little Lanai off the main room and the opposite side was the main door leading to the pool while also looking over the mountains in the background.. I had a full kitchen a huge amazingly comfortable king bed. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did. Already booked the room coming back in a couple months.

I told two people, one at each hotel, and was told they'd send maintenance. Nobody ever came...but the sun sure did, at 5:34 AM. Not my usual vacation wake up time. When I asked again I finally got an answer: the blinds broke and they also aren't able to fix them right now. Thankfully, they upgraded us over to the La Serena Villas next door, the sister property. They get a glowing review. But then, why is this property so neglected? The rooms looks dingy. Our walls had marks all over them. Dusty floors. Things broken or clearly in need of some love. Awful music blaring by the pool. Seriously, who the hell is streaming this crap? They used to have a cool social happy hour in the lobby, and breakfast there in the morning. You still get the breakfast...but now it's next door. Like the service. I'd like to say we'll be back but unless this place gets a serious enema I don't see it happening.

Coming from a hotel that lacked attention to detail because of management, my wife's first thing was to check for cleanliness and they passed her test lol There were some pros and cons: Pros: -Location-near everything (shops, dining, and museums) -The room was clean, spacious, and the ceilings were high making the room seem bigger than what it is. -The pool area was spacious, clean, and there were plenty of day beds, and chairs to sit at. -On site restaurant (we didn't get to eat there) -The grounds are well kept and nice to take pictures -Golf plaque with engraved names of those inside the room (awesome touch) Cons: -The pool area is very dark at night. I almost tripped over and fell because I couldn't see a step -The jacuzzi chlorine levels were very high. My eyes were burning the entire 10 minutes we were in there. -The one curtain for the windows in the room were not enough-a secondary blackout shade would help and eliminate bright desert sun seeping through the sides in the morning. -After 9, good luck asking for ice (housekeeping is gone, and the restaurant is closed) although I was helped with ice by the front desk. All in all, we had a great, peaceful, and memorable time at colony palms! We recommend it!

We encountered a major issue with our reservation and room readiness, and when we politely asked to speak with a manager to resolve it, DeeAnna's attitude was shockingly dismissive and defensive. Instead of offering a solution or exhibiting basic hospitality, she was patronizing, rude, and treated our legitimate concerns as an inconvenience to her day. An establishment of this caliber relies heavily on its leadership to set the standard for service. Unfortunately, DeeAnna Windh sets a standard of hostility and incompetence. Her complete lack of empathy and poor communication skills ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway. A beautiful property means absolutely nothing if the front office management treats paying guests with utter contempt. I will never stay here again, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere in Palm Desert if you expect to be treated with basic respect.

Has a candy station and the breakfast box in the mornings is great. At check in we were welcomed with a voucher for champagne . Andrea's Hotel definitely lives up to the standards of a quiet boutique hotel. We are definitely looking forward to our next stay and highly recommend it to our family and friends.

**Beautiful Hotel, Terrible Guest Experience**…read more We were really disappointed with our stay. The location is excellent, and the hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. Almost every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, one person managed to completely overshadow all of that: Karl. Karl seemed determined to micromanage our entire experience, particularly around the pool. No outside food or beverages. No floaties in the pool. And, apparently, guests are not allowed to move the umbrellas--even when the temperature is 112 degrees and you're simply trying to create some shade. During the off-season, when the pool area was far from crowded, it was especially difficult to understand why the umbrellas were apparently there for decoration rather than shade. Karl would literally come out of his office if he saw you holding food or a drink while walking through the pool area. At one point, we were leaving to go to dinner with an unopened bottle of wine in our possession. We stopped briefly to talk to friends who were still in the pool, and Karl came out of his office to tell us we had to leave the pool area. When we questioned the reasoning, his response was essentially a grin, a shrug, and repeated variations of "That's the rules." To be clear, the rules themselves are not the problem. Hotels are entitled to have rules, and guests should respect reasonable policies. The problem was HOW Karl chose to enforce them. His constant monitoring and condescending manner made us feel less like paying guests and more like children being watched for misbehavior. A beautiful hotel with a great location and otherwise wonderful staff should be a place where guests feel welcome. Instead, our experience was overshadowed by one manager who seemed far more interested in enforcing every minor rule than in making guests feel comfortable. Fortunately, there are plenty of other hotels in Palm Springs. Based on this experience, we will never stay here again. Apparently, Karl doesn't believe in repeat customers.

This resort is better than staying at a hotel. The full kitchens, dining room, washer and dryer, little patio area with grilling just make it feel like a home away from home. So easy to cook in the space as they have all the utensils and appliances. The only issues I have ever experienced is checking in can be a hit or a miss, as at times we have experienced rooms not being ready on time, but for the most part, it has been wonderful. There are plenty of pools. When we went one was being remodeled but it was a short walk to the next one. And we did recieve notice via email regarding work which was nice. Grace at the front desk was wonderful! She was so pleasant and kind when I talked to her on the phone when checking in. Great customer service! She is incredible! Made such a difference when I walked in for the keys as I already felt her wonderful energy thru the phone. Thank you again.

The hotel has a gorgeous pool and jacuzzi and even a little putting green and a lounge area by the pool. It's done with a lot of love and the owners are obviously very attentive to the property as it's beautifully kept. There seems to be ample parking and it all circles around the hotel rooms, so if you're lucky, you can find a parking spot right by your room. I didn't have a problem finding parking for my room even on a Friday night; reception told me there is "overfill parking" if the regular spots are full, but I'm not sure where that is. Make sure to ask in case the parking lot is full. Parking is free! Rooms are spacious with microwave, fridge, coffee/tea maker, large closets and a full bathroom. Bathrooms are immaculate with a bathtub and shower head. Some rooms have a pool view and/or mountain view. There are also suites with a kitchen. Good Wi-Fi service, Many of the rooms are pet friendly, which is a plus. There's lots of shopping and restaurants nearby within walking distance.

My experience is from the perspective of a person with disabilities who travels with mobility aides. In reality I never book true "ada" rooms because of the harsh reality hotels never have enough availability to accommodate those of us who require them or rooms being out of order forcing us to smaller rooms . I book rooms that makeup in space and comfortability to avoid that risk. We were booked in a spacious one bedroom queen suite with a separate bedroom. Located on the second floor please not this is a small mom and pop hotel. There is no bell service and no elevators to assist with getting to the top floor. We did struggle getting our luggage up the stairs but managed. Walking into our room Exceeded my expectations. Our room included not one but two decent sized bathrooms complete with their own shower/bath combo that provided railing which helped aided those of us with disabilities. The handrails in the shower were placed in a comfortable position for me to get in and out. The the kitchen was lovely. A working stove oven combination , counter space and a full size refrigerator freezer combination are a nice amenity. The microwave was extremely high and at 4'10 i needed to stand on the chair to reach. The couch was so comfortable I accidentally fell asleep on it at night and slept comfortably until morning while my mom slept in the bedroom with the queen bed comfortably. A feature not necessarily highlighted was the spacious balcony overlooking the pool area. It was nice and relaxing to sit out on and read a book. The hotel does have a rule of noise level after 10pm which was no issue. A selling point for me was despite the noise rule the pool area is 24hours. The pool was sparkly clean and warm. The hot tub was a decent size and a great temperature. The courtyard not only featured a pool and spa? It came equipped with ample variety of seating, cabana seating and picnic area. A quaint little putting green centered off to the side near the picnic area feateard grills as well. Parking for the hotel wasn't the best when it came to ada parking and large enough spaces for those who travels with large SUV'S. The gentleman reccomended parking on the street which we did and had no issues at night. The hotels location was very close to our activities at acrisure arena, the living desert zoo and places such as the grand Hyatt,Shopping centers and plenty of food spaces. We looked for specific amenities and this hotel delivered. It was quiet clean , spacious and relaxing. For this not being an ada room the size and space was comfortable. The beds and comfort were very homey and customer service phenomenal. Low on cost high on fun.
